Natsu's Past

Natsu ended up having a dream where his whole body. A woman appeared in front of him. It's Lucy. " Luce?! " He asked confused. He runs to hug her but he runs right through her. " H-hey why did that happen?! " He asked. " I'm not really here. It's just some trip to the past or something like that " She said. He was confused. " But... Your not in my past " He said. " I'm not, but I'm showing it to you. It's confusing I know. There are many people you know who can show you. But I'm the first person that came to your mind. In fact I'm always on your mind " She stated. " N-not true! " He protests with pink dusting his cheeks. Lucy giggles. " It's okay I know you love me " She said with a wink. Natsu was red with embarrassment from this. " Can you just show me the memories already? " He ordered trying to change the subject. " Whatever " Lucy shrugged and shows a window.

~Past~

Natsu grew up with his parents. His father is apart of the Mafia. So Naturally he would want his son to train and take over his throne as the Mafia Boss. " Come Natsu. You must continue your training! " Igneel ordered. " But what about zeref? " Natsu asked. " He uh... He doesn't want to do it... " Igneel made up an excuse. Natsu was only five at the time. Watching from afar, the 12 year old zeref. Thanks for the cover dad... He thought with a smile. Then he starts coughing violently. " Young master! " A maid said and runs to zeref side. When zeref removed his hand from his face there was a lot of blood. The maid wiped the blood from his face and his hand. She pulls zeref along with her to a different room. " Come young master, I shall take you to a place where we can try and cure you " She said. Zeref lightly shakes his head. The maid is confused. " Eh? But young master... " She said. " I want Natsu to have the chance to shine. He was spoiled a little kid, but I was the one who spent most of my time with dad. When I got this sick, and mom was pregnant with Natsu, dad turned his attention to him. If I wasn't sick, then I would be getting congratulations for my talents and Natsu would be shunned. I'm afraid that if that happened instead Natsu would hate me. And I don't want my little brother to hate me, because I love him. " Zeref explained. " Y-young master... " The maid said as a tear dropped out of her eye. She hugged Zeref. " Young master, if by chance you leave, I will always remember you " She said. Zeref smiled brightly. " When I do, I just want you to remember to protect Natsu for me " He smiled. The maid nodded and wiped the tear away. " I will follow out your wishes to the fullest extent! " She said determined.

~With Natsu in his training~

Natsu missed the middle of the target just by a little bit. " Good job son! Your getting much better! " Igneel praises. Zeref, who was watching in secret, smiled. He was also proud of Natsu for doing good. " Natsu your doing really good " He said lowly. He was happy to see him succeed before he goes away. He starts a coughing fit. " Zeref?! " Natsu asked. Igneel runs to zeref. " I need the doctor here stat! " He ordered and pulled zeref along. Natsu looked at him worried as he ran to the door. Zeref turns to Natsu and smiled while giving him a thumbs up. Natsu smiled back. He wished his brother would get better soon. But sadly, his wish didn't come true.

~A couple years later~

Natsu is now ten. He is almost finished his training. Grandeeney is pregnant with another child right now. Zeref is 17 years old now. " Hey zeref look! Look what I can't do! " Natsu said. He looks over at him, Natsu shoots the metal vase. The bullet bounced off that to the other one, then Natsu moved his head out the way and the bullet goes through the middle of the target. " That's very cool Natsu! " Zeref praise. Natsu smiled happily. Zeref loved seeing his little brother happy. Then all of a sudden he felt a pain in his chest. Then he passed out. " Zeref!! " Natsu screamed. Igneel and Grandeeney come rushing in. Igneel bent down, he felt his chest. " His heart beat is low. No pulse... " He said out loud. " Get a doctor!! " He ordered. " My... My baby " Grandeeney said in a low whisper, she was shocked. They couldn't save him. Natsu was sad. His big brother was his biggest inspiration. All he wanted to do was make zeref proud of him. Now he couldn't do that anymore.

~now~

Natsu had tears streaming down his face. He wipes them away. " Why are you showing me this? " He asked. Lucy sighed. " I know you were sad at that time. And it may be hard. But you need to accept the reality and move on " She said " How can I move on? He was much family " He asked. " So am I... " She said. " So are we " She said and placed her hands on her stomach. " And so are they " She said and showed him a picture of his friends. " We're your family too. " She informed him. She was right. " Your smart even when your not really here " He gave in. " Who says I'm not really here? Didn't you listen to what gray said last night at all? " Lucy asked. " No... " He admits. " I come here every day and stay till night time, holding your hand so you will wake up " She said. Natsu smiled at her. " How can I not wake up after hearing that? " Natsu asked. " So you miss me that much? " Natsu asked wiggling his eyebrows. " No! You can stay in this coma forever for all I care! Hmph! " She said with her face all red. " Suuuure " He said sarcastically, and teasing her.

~Outside~

" Natsu wake up so we can meet our baby. Then we can be a big happy family " She said and kissed his cheeks.
