Lana woke up the following morning and did her best to avoid seeing Xerses, she did not know why she was embarrassed about the kiss that they had shared.

She had done nothing wrong, so why did she feel this way? At least Xerses came late and by then she pretended to be asleep or she was truly asleep.

Lana walked in and jumped to see Xerses there, how was he here?

"Do you think you can avoid me forever?" His tone was challenging.

"No."

"Then why have you?"

"I meant, I have not been avoiding you."

Xerses got up, "Say that again."

"I have not been avoiding you."

He took a step closer, "Lie to me again."

Lana knew that she could not carry on lying, her mouth went dry, and looked at the ground when Xerses was in front of her.

He put his finger under her chin and raised her face to look at him, and her cheeks blossomed.

"So you avoid me, all because of a kiss?"

Lana had hoped that he would not bring it up,

"Answer me."

"Yes."

He chuckled, "The things I could teach you."

She gulped, "I....no...."

He grinned, "Your innocence is amusing."

He let go of her face, "Thank you."

He pulled her in and kissed her very hard, he pulled back, "Don't thank me, I will have you under me. You will give yourself over to me."

Lana was taken aback by his bold and overconfident statement which made her worry a bit.

The following afternoon, she was not feeling well, and fainted on the fields, when she woke up Lana was now under the shade.

She was told to go back, and Lana walked slowly. By her symptoms, she knew that it was a fever.

Night time came and was still under the covers, Xerses walked in,

"You need to wait outside."

"I don't feel well." She responded.

"I don't care, I have someone to please me."

Lana could not believe it, "I can't...................."

"That or I will whip you out."

Lana got up trembling as she made her way outside, but she was not doing this today and made her way to Brytha.

"Lana, what are you doing here? At night?"

"I don't.................."

Brytha ushered her in and made her sit down, the warmth encircled her, and Brytha came back with some mixture.

Lana took it thankfully, and wanted to cry at her friend's hospitality,

"Why are you here?"

Lana explained to her and Brytha listened. After drinking the mixture, Brytha led her to her room which was not big but enough for her as there was so much warmth.

Lana fell asleep next to her friend, and the following morning she woke up to commotion. She headed out and found Xerses raging, and once he had spotted her, he marched towards her.

Now he stood in front of her,

He grabbed her shoulder and shook her hard, everything began to go black............
