Chapter 12

"Princess, shall we carry on?"

He was grating on her nerves and just nodded.

They began to cut and Lana was trembling, closing her eyes then opening them to find Xerses being annoyed with her.

She was getting a hang of it when some blood squirted on her, and she vomited. Lana pulled back, but some of it had landed on Xerses.

He shook his head, and Lana saw that he did not care. He too had some blood added with vomit, but did not react.

When she had finally come to her senses once more, "I'm sorry."

"Go wash up."

She was taken aback by his response, "You don't want me to carry on?"

"You're hindering me, at this rate we are going to finish after some days."

Lana did not think twice as she got up and ran, after washing for a while, she went out and made her way back. Now seated in front of the furnace, she took out her tales to read.

The door opened and Xerses entered, he had not bathed yet, he was covered with some blood.

That made her a bit sick as she could still smell the blood from the animals, it seemed to be stuck in her mind.

He grinned at her, as he made his way towards her. She stood up and took a step back,

"Why are you running away from me?"

"Don't you dare?"

"What?" He walked towards her slowly, and he was enjoying this.

"Don't touch me."

"Why Princess?"

"You know why."

He took another step towards her, and Lana felt like she was trapped when there was a knock on the door.

Thank the heavens! She thought to herself.

"Come in."

The maid got in, and looked weirdly at their exchange, "Your bath is ready."

Lana knew that the girl was infatuated with him.

He turned to her, "It's a shame that our fun was cut short."

He turned and left, she let out a deep breath, that was close. She went to eat and after that came back to the room.

Lana heard laughing in the room and groaned. He was with another woman. This was too much for her.

Lana had made up her mind as she sat outside, and could not even get her tales to read. Now she sat there wondering how her loved ones were doing.

She missed them dearly and wanted to go back, but those hopes were futile after the conversation she had with Xerses.

She rested her head on her knees and finally came out. Lana got up slowly as her feet hurt, and went back into the room.

Xerses looked up at her, and she looked away not wanting to scream. Lana did not know if she should proceed with the plan that she had decided on.

Her mind worked,

"Penny for your thoughts?"

She took a deep breath, "I want my own living quarters."

Xerses turned to her with an expression that frightened her as he shifted.
