Oh... Hey
>Calamity POV<
Imagine my surprise when I left the shop with multiple identical outfits to see Kidd waiting in Killer's place.
"Aren't you supposed to be resting?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
He looked away. "Shut up..."
I rolled my eyes, starting to walk off. "Whatever. I've got some more shopping to do, so come on."
"Don't tell me what to do, runt!"
>Kidd POV<
As I followed behind her, I couldn't help but really notice her new outfit. Like the way her skirt would sway as she walked, showing slightly more of her slender legs. Or the little dips her hips made with every step. The slashes across the back of her shirt, which showed me pale, smooth flesh, along with the back cloth and clasp of her bra...
My cheeks burned hotly as I quickly averted my gaze, speeding up slightly to walk beside her and avoid my eyes wandering again.
I couldn't deny that she looked extremely hot, though she wasn't exactly hard on the eyes befor- stop thinking like that!
I shook my head to clear it, and decided to start a conversation to keep my mind in the present.
"Where'd you get the daggers?" I asked casually, glancing at her.
"Hm?" She glanced at me, a small frown settling on her lips. She continued in a bitter tone. "I stole them from Buggy before he escaped."
"Escaped?"
He attitude seemed to sour further as she thought about it. "He called for a retreat before I could brutally murder him, the cowardly bastard."
I figured I'd better change the subject. "So what are you shopping for now?"
"A signature weapon," she replied airily, her demeanor relaxing as she looked around the numerous shops.
"Signature weapon?" I repeated curiously.
"Yup, you've got your devil fruit powers, Killer's got his sword-scythe-thingies, and I want a signature weapon too."
I snorted. "Sword-scythe-thingies?"
I looked down at her in amusement as she glared stubbornly at me. "Don't make fun of me!"
I chuckled.
She huffed, only to gasp and take off in a sprint.
"Calamity?!" I yelled, chasing after her, slowed by my still healing wound.
She rounded a corner...
>Calamity POV<
I rounded a corner, focusing on catching up to the little black kitten I'd seen.
BAM!!!
I collided with what felt like a fleshy wall and fell back with a surprised gasp, landing on my butt.
"Ooowwwwwwww," I grumbled, shaking my head to clear it.
Opening my eyes, I froze as I saw a very confused group of pirates being lead by the one, the only, Shanks.
"You alright?" The red haired man asked with an awkward grin, offering me his hand. "Sorry 'bout that."
I blinked hard before allowing him to pull me to my feet. "No worries, just a crash landing."
"What's your name?" He asked with a chuckle.
"Im-"
"Calamity!"
An arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me into a warm, hard chest. I looked at Kidd in shock as he glared at Shanks.
"Red hair," he said coolly, holding me protectively against him, slowly turning as though to shield me.
I looked at Shanks to see him quirking a brow at us, his crew watching in curious amusement. "Kidd."
I blinked. "Er... Awkward..."
Kidd directed his glare at me. "Why'd you run off, shrimp?"
I gasped. "I SAW A KITTY!" I cried excitedly, looking around wildly for the mini feline.
"How old are you, exactly?" Kidd asked in disbelief.
I stuck my tongue out him. "My name isn't Kidd."
He scowled at me. "Keep in mind that I still haven't punished you for turning me blue."
I pouted. "You just don't know how to appreciate the little things in life..."
"You're ridiculous."
"And you're a surprisingly decent hugger," I smirked, causing him to instantly release me.
Sudden bouts of laughter reminded us of the pirate crew before us, and Kidd shoved me behind him, hiding me from view.
"Well that was interesting!" Shanks chuckled as I stepped out from behind Kidd.
"He's nothing but a big teddy bear," I whispered badly, grinning. I ducked from Kidd's angry grasp and hid behind Shanks. "No more hugs!"
His crew burst into laughter once again as Kidd lunged at me, both of us running around Shanks in a game of mini tag.
"Get back here, runt!" Kidd roared. I squeaked as his paw-like hands grasped my waist.
"Nuuuuuuuuuu!" I cried dramatically. "Goodbye, cruel world! I shan't miss you, because you suck eggs anyways!"
"What are you blabbering on about now?" Kidd deadpanned.
"Ya know? I've got no idea- WEAPON!" I screamed, wriggling in his grasp as I saw the perfect thing in a nearby shop window. "Kiiiiiiiiiidd! Lemme goooooooooo!"
"Who the hell gave you chocolate?"
"I miiiiiight have stolen some from one of the newbies..."
"Aren't you the newest newbie?"
"No, I'm awesome. There's a difference," I replied curtly.
"That makes no sense..." He grumbled, setting me on my feet.
I ran behind him and jumped onto his back, winding my legs tightly and securely around his waist and wrapping my arms around his neck as I pointed at the shop and yelled, "MUSH!"
"WHAT THE HELL, PIPSQUEAK?!" Kidd barked at me, rubbing his ear.
I clammered further up his back, putting my cheek to his as I pointed directly at the giant battle axe. The blade was red with a black edge, a grey handle with a grip halfway up and on the end, and a small skull at the very bottom of the post.
He barked out a laugh. "You can't be serious! That thing's twice your height!!!"
"Is not!" I argued, looking at him with an angry pout. His gaze flickered to me for a moment before he turned his entire head away. I blinked in confusion.
>Shanks POV<
The young pirate captain turned away with a red face, causing me to chuckle. I was not expecting to run into that brat, but I must admit I'm glad I did. In these mere five minutes, I've almost been more amused than I've been in my life by their antics, particularly the brutish red head allowing the quirky girl to "bully" him so hilariously.
"You kids get back to your date," I teased as my crew chuckled along. I looked at the red faced girl clinging to the even redder faced boy. "It was a pleasure to run into you, Calamity. I hope we meet again."
"Wait!" She yelled, untangling her limbs from the red haired, flushed faced boy-captain and rushing me.
Sensing no bad intentions, I stayed put, curious of her actions. To say I was a bit shocked when she wrapped her arms around my waist in a tight hug would be a major understatement. Still, the incredibly jealous look that Kidd wore caused me to chuckle and pat her hair. "What's that for?"
"Big fan," she shrugged, pulling away. She then grabbed Kidd's hand and gave it a slight tug. "C'mon Kidd, we have to get that axe before someone else does!!!!"
Grumbling and pink cheeked, the red haired boy snatched hand back, shoving both in his pockets and walking after the eccentric girl.
