A week later, Virgil and Roman were taking a walk through town when Virgil heard someone say his name.

"Virgil?!" Virgil looked over and smiled a little. "Lily? Hey. What're you doing out here?" he asks. Lily completely ignores his question and hugs him tightly. "I seriously thought you were dead, I thought your parents-!" she says, tearing up a bit.
"Wo-woah, hey, it's okay.. I would've called you if I could, but.. I didn't have a phone until my birthday this year.. I'm sorry." Virgil says. "No, no sorrys, I'm just glad you're okay.. Who's this, by the way?" Lily asks.

"My name is Roman, it's a pleasure to meet you." Roman introduced himself. Virgil smiles. "Roman, this is Lily. She's the one who gave me Alice, she was my best friend in school."
Lily looks at Roman. "He- dresses so fancy-" she says, giggling a little. Roman smiled. "Yeah, well um-" Virgil said, not knowing how to explain that. It's not exactly like he can say, 'Oh yeah, this is my boyfriend, a vampire, he kidnapped me, and he just so happens to be a prince.'

"Vee, what's on your neck?" Lily asks, trying to look closer. Virgil covered it quickly. "Uh- nothing, don't worry about it." he forgot normal bite marks still show up for a while. They heal quickly, as vampire saliva clots and heals wounds (he'd learned that a while ago), but it takes a few hours, usually.

Lily squinted at him. "You're acting suspicious.. Was it your parents..?" she asks. "W-what? No, my parents are.. N-nevermind that, I haven't lived with them for like... 8 months now. I've been living with Roman since September." Virgil said, dodging as many questions as possible.
"... What are you so afraid of me finding out about? Since when do you not trust me?" Lily asks, frowning a little. "I-... N-no, it's.. Not like that..." Virgil said, looking away. "Then what's it like, Virgil? Please, you can tell me anything, you know that.. Don't you..?" Lily says.

Virgil frowns, not knowing what to do and looking at Roman. Roman looks at him for a moment before giving him a gentle smile. "Do you trust her?" he asks. "Entirely.." Virgil whispered back. Roman nods a little. "Then tell her." he says. "R-ro.. Are you sure..?" Virgil asks.
"If you trust her, I'll take your word." Roman says. "O-okay.. Lily..? Try not to like.. F-freak out or anything.."

Lily looks at him, listening.

".. Roman.." Virgil lowered his voice. "Roman's a vampire. He found me in the park one night and.. Well.. To put it simply, kidnapped me after I passed out from either blood loss or something else, I'm not sure..
"He's also a prince, though, that's why he dresses like that.. And well.. Time went by and.. Stockholm syndrome happened, I guess...  B-but it's not like he's cruel or anything, he's quite the opposite.. He's kind and caring.. And he'd never hurt me intentionally.. I'd even go as far as to say he saved me, from my parents.. Speaking of which.. They're dead, they've been dead for a while because I.. I told Roman what they did to me, and.. He got protective." Virgil explained.

Lily looked at him shocked for a moment, stuttering over her words. "... Virgil, if anyone, anyone else said this to me, I'd think they were full of horse shit. But... You've never lied to me.. And it would explain both why you went missing and that mark on your neck.." she says, putting her hand to her chin in thought.

"If you need proof-" Virgil starts. "No, no... I believe you. But only because I know you'd never tell that big of a lie to me. So... Vampire royalty, huh? Whom you've fallen head over heels for?" Lily asks. Roman chuckles. "I promise you, the feeling is very much mutual."

"Oh, hey! I can kinda see the fangs now- you really weren't kidding." Lily says. "Yes, well, I know how to talk a way that keeps my fangs hidden." Roman tells her. "I always thought vampire fangs were the two front teeth-" Lily says curiously.
"For some breeds, they are. Most in this area, though, are Canis vampires, meaning our fangs are our canine teeth." Roman explained. "They h- they have different names-?" Virgil asked, a little surprised.

Roman smiles. "Mhm. Canis, Draculous, Leviathus, Ursis, and Felis." he says. Lily tilts her head. "That's interesting, what's the difference between them all?" she asks.

"Mostly fang position. Canis vampires, as I said, have their fangs on the canine teeth. Draculous vampires are the ones you mentioned, who have their fangs on their two front teeth. Leviathus vampires have no normal teeth, rather, they're all fangs. Ursis vampires have both top and bottom canine fangs, and Felis vampires have two fangs on each side of their front teeth.
"Though, personalities do tend to vary. Draculous vampires are very secretive, and they do tend to have bat wings. Leviathus are usually more aggressive, and kill a lot more than turn. Ursis are self kept and only feed when they have to, and Felis vampires are flirtatious, and typically have horns."

"W-wow-" Virgil said, at a loss for words.

"Sooo... You're a prince. Does that make Virgil one too?" Lily asks. "Quick to change the subject as always. No, I'm not a prince yet, that'll only happen if.. U-um.." Virgil says, blushing a little. Roman chuckles. "When I marry him." he finished for Virgil.
"How cute- hey Vee, what's it like being bit? I've always been curious- no, nevermind that, what's it like living with a vampire?" Lily asks. "If you're so curious, why don't you come back with us? We do have other human servants at the castle." Roman says.

"I'm sure she has a life to get to.. Not to mention people would probably be worried about her." Virgil tells Roman. "Actually.. Not really. I haven't been able to find a job that pays well enough to sustain a house, or food for that matter. And yeah, I've been living with my friend, but I can just text her whenever. Can I really go back with you? That would be so cool, a real castle-" Lily started to ramble.

"If you want to, you may." Roman says, one hand over the other behind his back. "Question though, what do you do when the humans die?" Lily asks. "Oh, um, actually, the servants are immortal- it's this whole thing, you'd have to ask one of them for the details." Virgil says.

"Ohhh.. So wait, you're human, he's a vampire.. How-" Lily said, pointing between them and tilting her head. Virgil blushes slightly. "I-i uh.. I.. I-i'm.. Gonna have him.. T-turn me.." he mumbles, fidgeting a little.
Roman looked at him and smirked, chuckling quietly. "What-?" Virgil asked with a huff, turning to Roman. "You get flustered so easily." Roman replied, smiling. "Well, I'm sorry that my neck just so happens to be a fucking weak spot and-" Virgil starts, crossing his arms and blushing more.

"Excuse me, but I don't think I need to know about your guys' sex life.. Can we go?" Lily asks. Virgil hid his face, groaning to himself. "Sorry." he mumbles through his hands.
"Don't melt in embarrassment yet, love." Roman teased a little, chuckling. "Y-yet-?" Virgil responded, looking up at him. Roman smirks, taking Virgil's hand and walking back to the castle.

"C-cmon Lil.." Virgil said. "I'm following, don't worry." Lily says, walking behind them.
