Chapter One
Something felt off...
Maybe it was just that "I just finished high school!" Energy.
But god, was something off.
Daisy and I decided to stay at her uncles old summer home for the summer, to celebrate the graduation and be away from our families.
Our parents weren't opposed, which you know? Most didn't expect, but Daisy and I had been friends since diapers, there was no way we'd ever date.
Anyway, things were fine the first night, and the second! We'd gone to the beach and hung out, all that jazz. The third day I realized I forgot things at home and went to grab them, as it goes.
Then I came back and things felt...
Wrong.
"Woah, did you see the news? That band you like went missing," I pointed out while browsing in my phone.
"I know, hope they're okay. What do you think happened Scott?"
I shrugged, "I don't know, but something seems wrong about the whole thing."
"Wrong how?"
"I don't know," I admitted. "But for some reason, I feel like I know what happened, but I can't wrap my mind around it."
I should've known that Daisy's reaction was odd. Her eyes darkened for a minute.
But I didn't.
I just chopped it up to her being worried about her favorite band.
I was still on edge though.
"I'm going to go buy some groceries and such, have anything you want me to get?"
Daisy shook her head, smiling lazily, "I think I'm good. Maybe grab some more toiletries? You always forget about that sort of stuff."
"That's true. I'll be back soon."
I had left and went shopping, buying a weeks worth of stuff for the two of us.
When I got back, I was extremely uneasy. Daisy wasn't around, so I put things away and chilled in the living room when she came from the basement, smile on her face.
"Hey, I have something I want to show you."
Why did chills creep up his spine?
It was probably nothing.
"Alright? Lead the way then."
She grinned, "I need you to close your eyes though, can't have you seeing it too early."
I shrugged and got up, setting my phone on the table. I made a huge point covering my eyes and she grabbed my and dragged me to the basement, the two of us defending the stairs.
"I've been working on this for ages to get it right and I thought I should show you!"
"Ages? We've only been here a few days," I snorted.
Daisy giggled, "silly, I planned this whole thing out for when we got here!" We reached the bottom of the stairs and she moved me to stand in a certain spot. "Alright, you can open your eyes!"
I moved my hands and looked at the scene in front of me.
And my face immediately screwed in horror.
The missing band!
Oh my god!
The three members were all tied together, mouths duct taped closed. There was another person, who looked like a doctor, tied with them.
What the fuck?
Why the fuck?
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I shouted and ran past her, trying to go up the stairs. But she was close behind. Before I could reach the top, she grabbed my shirt and yanked me down and past her, pushing me down the stairs.
I fell all the way down and landed harshly on my leg. I didn't break it, but my ankle felt sore and ached immediately.
Before I could react, the basement door slammed shut and locked itself.
Fuck!
I tried to get to my feet, but immediately fell, the ankle throbbing in pain.
Shit!
Okay, okay! My ankle is fucked up, but he needs to get everyone untied!
I glanced around and saw that there's a pole on the floor for whatever reason. I grabbed it and used it to help myself to my feet, moving as quickly as I could to the men tied up, untying them.
The minute the men were released, they ripped the duct tape that was over their mouths and rushed to me.
"Are you okay?"
I shook my head, wincing as I fall again.
"Move him to a sitting position, I'll take a look at his ankle," the doctor ordered and I was shifted.
The man yanked off my shoe and rolled up the cuff of my jeans, seeing that indeed, my ankle was swollen. He sighed and looked to the other boys, then At me.
"Do you know where we can get you bandages?"
I sagged, "probably upstairs. But Daisy locked the door, I don't think we can get out."
"How do you know daisy?" The doctor asked.
"I've known her since we were in diapers. This was supposed to be a fun last hurrah before college. Didn't think she'd do this shit." I sighed, "I'm Scott by the way."
The doctor smiled softly, "I'm Elliot. Call me Eli if you like."
Eli had shaggy, sandy blond hair and thick frames on his face. His pale blue eyes were still very vibrant either way.
The first member of the band went next. "I'm Jason, call me Jay." Jason had an ashy blond hair type it was cut almost military style, very close to the head. It was blonde, but it was a dark blond that bordered in gray. His eyes were a very startling silver. He was toned and tanned.
"I'm Blake." Blake was tan as well, with tight brown curls. He was mixed it seemed, with dark blue eyes and a crooked smile.
"And I'm Harvey." Harvey has warm hazel eyes and dark black hair that wasn't styled it anything, just lazily falling into his face. His ears were pierced and he had a nose ring.
"Nice to meet you all I guess. Wish it was under better circumstances."
Eli smiled sadly, "we'll figure all this out, don't worry. We do need to find you something to wrap your ankle with."
Harvey thinks for a moment before realizing his clothing choice. A plaid shirt over a tank top.
He pulled off the plaid and ripped it, making it into thin strands, passing it to Eli. "Not the best, but should do for now."
"Thanks Harvey," I said warmly. He smiled at me kindly as Eli wrapped my ankle. He was very delicate with the whole thing and made sure it was tight, but not tight enough that it would hurt.
It felt better, but would've been much better with the proper equipment.
"I'll see if I can bust down the door," Jay informed, heading up the stairs. Eli just helped me to my feet and helped sit me down in a more comfortable spot.
"We'll get you proper treatment when we can.@
"You guys are pretty nice to me considering my best friend is a psycho."
"She pushed you down the stairs when you went to get help. I'm sure that you have nothing to do with this," Blake scoffed.
That's pretty true.
Still, I appreciated their kindness despite everything.
"Hey guys, the door is unlocked," Jay shouted down the stairs.
Strange.
"Here, let's get you upstairs." Eli and Harvey supported me as everyone went upstairs.
When we got up there... everything was wrong.
It looked normal, but the windows looked different, as did the doors. They weren't, but I realized something very quickly.
"She trapped us all in this fucking house..."
They looked at me.
"We're not leaving unless she wants us to."
