After the flower shop incident, Rubi was begging and pleading with you to tell Clyde your feelings for him the moment she found out what happened but you weren't sure. Your habit of overthinking caused you to have a massive headache so Rubi let it go and you just drove back the house, setup the flowers you bought in the middle of the dinner table you had and ended the day by watching movies together.

Now it was the next day and you went back to work, but you couldn't stop yourself from blushing at Clyde when he bid you a good morning as soon as you arrived through the door. You tried to remain calm and friendly, doing your work and helping Clyde or the other workers out if needed. Then Jimmy came into the bar to say hello and instantly after seeing the way you were looking at his brother when he wasn't looking, he knew instantly that you were really into him.

Now Jimmy was chilling at the bar where Clyde was, taking a drink out of his beer every so often and talking with Clyde about what's been going on with his girlfriend and his daughter. The usual routine whenever Jimmy came by alone to visit his brother. You were coming out of the back area and grabbed some more glasses to take and clean, you and Clyde made eye contact and Clyde smiled at you causing you to shyly smile right back. Jimmy noticed that Clyde was smiling a lot more since you came around and now he was really curious about what's going on.

"Clyde...Clyde my little brother..." Jimmy starts as you left to go to the back and Clyde looks back at Jimmy wondering what he's going on about now. "Ya gotta ask the girl out man. Ya clearly have a big crush on her." Jimmy chuckles as Clyde looks away shyly.

Jimmy was chuckling and then turned and saw as you came back out to grab some more dishes you couldn't carry. You noticed Jimmy there with Clyde and smiled kindly when Jimmy looked your way and smiled with a wave. You waved at him and then continued with grabbing the empty glasses from the tables around the bar.

"I don't know what you is talkin about." Clyde said rather awkwardly as he left his counter to move around the bar giving his customers their desired drinks. Ever since the flower shop incident the other day, he's been trying to keep things the same incase the hint he gave of him knowing it's you who's his secret admirer might scare you off, or atleast he thought it would so he pretended it didn't happen.

"Ah come on I know you two are eye ballin eachother. Just fess up and tell her before someone else asks her out." Jimmy teases but Clyde just rolled his eyes and mumbled what he had already told him a second ago.

"I don't know what you're talking about Jimmy.."

"Yeah right, we'll see who's the real clueless one little brother." Jimmy smirks as he gets off the stool seat and heads towards you. You looked up at the rather tall brother and chuckled as you had to lift your head up a bit like when Clyde stands before you.

"Hey there, Jimmy right?" You asked, you remembered when you met him when Clyde was helping you with your hand. Jimmy nods and leans in, giving you the head gesture to come closer so you do.

Clyde couldn't help but tighten his lips together as he watched you leaning in close to Jimmy as well.

"I need a favor to ask of ya, can ya laugh at whatever I'm saying?" Jimmy asked you. You don't change your facial expressions and tried to react the way he wanted although you were unsure why. You let out a laugh as you stood by Jimmy causing Clyde to send some glares into Jimmy's head. He chuckled as he knew he was glaring at him now, feeling it burning into his skull.

"Now don't look but..I think Clyde's gettin a bit jealous." Jimmy teases, this assumption however made the blood rush to your cheeks.

"T-there's no way he'd be jealous..h-he doesn't see me that way.." You whisper your small insecure doubts while making a fake laughing smile, trying to keep up the act Jimmy wanted you to do.

"Oh I think he does..take a quick glance at his face. Now I'm only doin this for both of your own goods. Plus Clyde is pretty stubborn sometimes." He whispers as he takes you by the shoulders and kisses the top of your head. Jimmy's small gesture confused you for a brief moment but when you felt it you couldn't help but chuckle awkwardly.

Quickly while you had the chance you turned your gaze and saw Clyde gripping the towel he held in his hand. Once he noticed you had seen him, he shifted his face away and continued on with his work, you could see he was getting a bit aggressive when he was wiping down the table now.

Jimmy pulls away and smirks at you, wiggling his eyebrows telling you silently "see?? Told ya." Jimmy then laughed and told both you and Clyde his goodbyes, Earl saw Jimmy leaving the Duck Tape while laughing his heart out after what he'd witnessed from the doorway.

You quickly ran to do your duties however, cleaning and wiping down the tables, cleaning the glasses customers would leave. But throughout the day Clyde wouldn't look at you and you couldn't help but wonder if what Jimmy said was true.

You sigh quietly as you finished up more of your dishes, washing one after another. But even while doing the dishes and keeping yourself busy..the events that happened yesterday couldn't help but resurface in your mind causing you to sigh and overthink everything again.

"Maybe..I imagined yesterday?.." You mumbled quietly to yourself. "Maybe...he was messing with me..maybe he..ugh I don't know anymore.." You finally finished your work and checked the clock in the room you were in and saw it was a couple minutes passed your time to clock out so you grabbed the rest you cleaned up and brought it out for Clyde to put back.

"Um..h-hello?" You shyly mumbled when you see Clyde cleaning the counter again. He didn't seem to hear you so you said it louder.

"Hello..?" He didn't turn around. You slumped your shoulders and silently made a defeated face so you decided to do what you were much too shy to do before.

"C-c-Clyde?" You finally said out loud after a long while. Your heart was pounding and your face was red when you called out his name. But it worked. He stopped and turned to look at you now, making you smile shyly.

"I-I...I finished the uh..the glass cups. Would you like me to put them away today?" He turned around not letting you see his face as he replied back.

"No it's alright I got it since I still have some more stuff to do here. You can go on home just be careful. I'll see ya back at work after Valentine's Day since it's tomorrow. G'night." He says while hiding how his face was flushed when he heard you say his name properly.

You were happy he spoke to you again but then your widen widened as you remembered now that tomorrow was the last day for you to confess to him! Trying to remain calm you muttered out, "oh uh..okay! Well thank you and yeah I-I'll see you soon. Goodnight c-Clyde." You couldn't stop yourself from stuttering as you quickly left to your car with Rubi in the drivers seat waiting for you. She came to pick you up knowing what tomorrow was for you, so she stayed for another sleepover support night. Before you both were about to drive away though, Rubi wanted to stall and began wanting to talk about how work was as she had a secret plan in mind for you to do without knowing.

Meanwhile inside the Duck Tape, Clyde sighed as he was standing at the bar counter as he re read the letters he's been getting over and over. Bringing them with him to work since there was a chance he was gonna stay in late. He kept wondering over and over if he was right on who it was for sure but wasn't sure when exactly the time was coming. He wanted to do the same for his admirer so he picked up some stationary paper his sister gave him, that she didn't want anymore, he then put them in front of him and began to write out what he's wanted to say..

'Dear miss admirer, I gotta admit these last few days you made me blush, made me mush and now I gotta say I have a big crush.

Clyde sighed and wanted to toss out his letter as soon as he finished. He felt like it was stupid and silly to write but he couldn't bring himself to trash it. He signed his name at the bottom and put it in the first envelope. He wasn't sure how many he wanted to make but he figured maybe he can write you atleast five for you to read for when he finally meets you.

You told Rubi about the interaction with Jimmy and how you finally called Clyde by his name and Rubi was so happy for you to break out of your shell a bit more. She tried to convince you to give Clyde your final letter before leaving the parking spot with it telling you who his admirer truly was but you shied away from the idea and shoved it in your glove compartment, begging Rubi to drive you home so you can relax with another movie night before your meeting happens. But you weren't sure exactly how or when or what time you were actually gonna tell him your feelings.

Reluctantly, Rubi gave in and drove you home so you can relax a bit with movies and eating some ice cream together. Rubi often hinted to you how badly she wanted you to just confess to him now before tomorrow because she was totally sure you'd panic even more if you waited til facing him for the confession. Yet again you refused to do it, you couldn't help but overthink it all again. You wanted to tell him right now with the letter of who his admirer was and yet you wanted to see Clyde's reaction up front and personal when he sees it's you who's been doing it. On the other hand you were really worried if waiting til meeting for him to find out it's really you, you kept thinking over and over...

What if he laughs when he sees it's really me and not someone else? What if he rejects me and he really does like someone else? Was I reading his signals wrong before?? Maybe he does like me? But what if I've been reading the signs all wrong and he really doesn't??

Your overthinking mind was stressing you out most nights and now Valentine's Day was tomorrow and you still were as nervous as before. Finally you fell asleep in bed while another movie was playing, Rubi felt like now was best time to go and do what she planned. Slowly she crept out of your bed, grabbed your keys and slowly left your house to get in your car, checked your glove compartment to see if the letter was still there. Rubi sighed with relief as it was still in the car so she turned on the car and began to drive to the bar once again.

She arrives not long after she started her journey to the bar. Rubi parks your car on the side of the building so not to be seen as she takes out the letter and stares at it for a moment while she quietly gives herself a pep talk. She hoped you wouldn't be angry with her for doing this but no matter what happens, she was determined to help you two with a nudge towards eachother. Rubi was ready to get in a hundred fights with you if it meant you'd finally get to be with a guy who made you light up like a firefly whenever you thought of him. She could tell he saw you in that sort of way as well, you just couldn't see it yourself. Yet.

"Sorry (Y/n)...but I want you to be happy. You deserve love and I believe he likes you back with all my heart." Rubi whispers to herself as she quietly leaves your car, not noticing it was super late and Clyde was still closing up the place. It was around 1 or 2 am and Rubi was shocked to see he was there, she then tapes the note on the door and slides another under it. Knocking on the door quickly and running to the side of the building to hide, hoping to see if Clyde gets the letter or not.

Clyde was about to leave when he sees the letter on the floor, he picks it up and studies it as he leaves the bar and turns around to lock it up. Before leaving the steps he looks at the letter not realizing Rubi was watching to see his reaction. He opens the letter up as begins to read it.

' Roses are red, violets are blue. I've been waiting forever to tell you the truth. And now The secret is revealed..it's me. The new girl who's been working with you the whole time. I'd like to tell you tomorrow my feelings for you.'

Clyde read this note and smiled, his heart raced as he pictured you the very moment he read the words 'new girl'. He then noticed another note but it was on his door, he reached for it and read 'she'll be here' on the fair's map with a circle where the booths would be and the dance floor. He quickly left, jumped into his car and drove home to get ready for the fair that starts around the afternoon.

Rubi smiled happily when she saw Clyde smiling after reading the letter. Seeing how quickly he left showed her proof that he really did like you just as you like him. Quietly Rubi snuck back into the house and laid beside you, you barely moved from the bed and she was thankful you were a heavy sleeper some days. Rubi covered you up more with your blanket noticing you shivering and smiled as she hugged you.

"(Y/n)..don't worry about tomorrow...he sure likes you. And you deserve all the happiness in the world. I can't wait." Rubi whispered quietly, not waking you up as she let go and fell asleep beside you. Smiling and feeling really happy to know that there might be some good news heading your way tomorrow. She couldn't wait to see you beaming with joy.
