Chapter 1: The Storm

Pit flapped his wings, fighting against the storm.

"L-Lady Palutena!!"

"It's too dangerous to extract you, Pit! You're going to have to find shelter for the night!!"

The Angel looks around franticly. "W-where?! It's pitch black in freezing out here!!"

"I've located an abandoned house that doesn't seem to be in use. You can stay there for the night. In the morning I'll coming get you, alright?"

"Y-Yes, Lady Palutena!!"

~~~
Pit closed the door against the rain, gasping for breath as he was drenched with water.
His eyes darted around the darkened house as he heard an old grandfather clock chime.
~~~

Hades glanced up from his book.

8...9...10...11...

11 o'clock.

He closes his book and puts it down on the nightstand next to him. He takes off his glasses and rubs his tired eyes.

He wonders if they're gonna sing tonight.

~~~
Pit looked to see where he was this place looked really old and was filled with all kinds of spiderwebs and priceless antiques.
He hears a soft "Ooo" as if something is whispering to him. He looks around, as hundreds of voices start to sing to him. About a house on a hill, haunted by ghosts. And about a man, haunted by the death of his beloved.
Thunder cracks, as the voices sings. The light shows Pit a painting. A painting of a young woman with brown-ginger hair and blue innocent eyes.
The voices sing louder, telling Pit that the man is haunted by this woman.
~~~

Hades leans back in the chair. He knows they're singing about him. And he knows they only sing that song when someone enters the home.

~~~
Pit was scared he didn't know what to do. He had to get out of here he didn't care if he had to go back in to the weather. The voices drift back into a soft "Ooo" as Pit runs to the door, struggling to open it.
It's locked.
He didn't know what to do he looked to find an open window or make an opening in a window.
"Where do you think you're going, Pitty-Pat?"
Pit looks up at a balcony on the second floor as the soft singing continues. He sees a young man, in his early twenties, wearing a tied-dyed shirt, gray pants, and a red leathered jacket. His hair was multi-colored and a pair of thin glasses sat on his nose.
Pit knows this person all too well. "H-Hades?!! What are you doing here?!?!"
"I live here. Well, sort of."
He exits the balcony, heading down the stairs and walks up to Pit. The singing fades, so it's only the two in the silence.
The Angel shivers. "What is this place?"
"It's sort of like a 'summer house' except I come here whenever I want."
"Why was there singing?"
"It's haunted," The god replies a matter-of-factly.
He turns around, walking off. Pit follows close behind, not wanting to be alone in this strange place.
"You said there's ghosts?!" Pit stammers over his words, "S-should I call Luigi?"
"....."
Hades stops and Pit bumps into him, stumbling back. The god turns around to look at him with gray-red dissaproving eyes.
"Really, Pit? Really? They live here."
"Oh... Sorry... I didn't know..." He looks down, ashamed of himself.
"....."
He sighs as he turns to walk off again and Pit follows close behind even more scared.
~~~

"You can sleep here."

Hades opens an old wooden door that opens with a loud creak.

Pit flinched a little at the sound of the door. "Thanks."

"Try not to break that mirror, Kay?"

He points to an old mirror with a silver frame around it, hanging on the wall.

"Okay..." He tilts his head to the side, confused. "Why is it going to make another Dark Pit?"

"No. The old woman in there gets cranky, that's all."

Pit is silent before looking up at Hades.

"Wat?"

Hades sighed, "Just trust me on this one, okay? You do NOT want an earful of her words."

"oKaY..."

Pit trembled a little but Hades ruffled his wet chocolate locks. "Relax. They won't hurt you if you don't bother them. There should be dry clothes in the closet. Get some rest."

"Thanks."

He smiled and ran over to the closet. Hades closed the creaky door and left Pit to his privacy.
