Chapter Three

Nico's POV

"Who's coming?!" I called, holding up the car keys in my hand.

"Obviously me." Jason said, stepping up.

"I've already met him. I'll stay here." Thalia called, sitting on the couch.

"I wanna go!" Leo shouted, jumping up.

"You can go, but you have to behave alright? And you can't freak out or do anything stupid, okay?" I asked him. He nodded and saluted me.

       "Aye aye!" He shouted.

We were visiting Percy again for the third time. It was Jason, Thalia and I the first two times and this time we're taking Leo instead of Thalia. I've been storing information about him in a notebook while the other two interact with him. I still talk to him, but I'm mainly the observer.

We drove to the Asylum, Leo bouncing up and down in his seat as we drove. We got there, checked in and went to his room. We slipped in, shutting the door behind us. He looked up at us with his emotionless face, then his personality changed instantly. "Hey. Nice to see you, again." He greeted.

"I'm assuming that's a happy personality?" I asked. He nodded. He still hasn't smiled, but you can tell when he's happy.

"Personality?" Leo question. Percy's eyebrows knit together and he scooted away from Leo.

"Don't worry, Leo's nice. He wont harm you." I assured him. He nodded slowly and became emotionless again.

"So you have a different person for each emotion you feel?" Leo asked.

"This passive personality doesn't talk." I told Leo. "But yeah."

"Hmm. Well, nice to meet you Percy! I'm Leo, obviously, SuperSizedMcShizzle!"

"Super... Sized... McShizzle?" Percy asked, obviously confused.

"Yeah! Or Hot Stuff!" Leo exclaimed. "Cause I'm so hot, you know?"

"Sure..." Percy said, scooting away from him slighty.

"Leo, you're scaring him. I told you not to fool around, didn't I?" I asked.

Leo huffed, looking offended. "You should know that I can't go somewhere without fooling around by now Neeks!"

Percy coughed behind his hand, but I could tell his was snickering. He pulled his hand away, smirking. "Neeks?" He asked, looking like he's trying to hide laughter.

I rolled my eyes at him. "I hate that nickname." I muttered.

"But it's so cute! It's a cute name for something... Not cute!" Leo exclaimed.

This time Percy was laughing for real and I couldn't believe it. "Leo, you got him to laugh!" I whisper yelled at him.

"I know!" He whispered yelled back.

"I like Leo." Percy decided, smirking.

"Great, you like Leo on his first visit but you don't like me on the third. That makes sense." I said, rolling my eyes teasingly.

"Hey, I like you!" He exclaimed with a poer face. Still no smile, dang it.

"Uh-huh. On a scale of one to ten how much do you like the people in this room?" I asked.

"Jason.... Six. Leo, Six. Neeks-" He snickered a bit. "Eight."

"Wait what?! How come you like emo creature who hates everything and everyone more than me!?" Leo exclaimed, pouding a fist to his chest.

"Because he reminds me of my favorite personality." Percy responded with a shrug.

"Great, another Nico." Leo sighed, shaking his head.

"Well, at least I have a sense of humor." Percy said with a shrug.

"Well that's better." Leo admitted with a shrug.

"So." Jason said, speaking for the first time. "How have you been in the past week?"

Percy shrugged, emotionless again. Shoot, that was the most he's talked in the past two sessions combined!

"What personality reminds you of me?" I asked, changing the topic.

"Happy." He said with a shrug.

"But weren't you happy when we walked in?" I asked curiously.

"No. I was glad." He said.

"Oh. Huh. What can we do to make you happy?" I asked.

He shrugged, yet again emotionless. It's amaing how quick he can transition between personalities like that. "I know how to make someone happy! Tacos!" Leo exclaimed.

Percy raised an eyebrow at Leo. "Taco?" He asked curiously.

"Man, you don't know what a taco is!?" Leo exclaimed, shaking his head. Percy shook his head no with a confused expression.

"Oh man! Well, it's a hard corn starch shell, right? And it's got seasoned meats with veggies and a bunch of other good stuff!" Leo exclaimed.

Percy looked wistful. "I didn't really eat at home... Not enough money. I worked a job for my mom and stepdad to eat. Didn't eat myself."

"Bro, you're kidding?" Leo asked with wide eyes. Percy shook his head no.

"How much is his bail? I'm gonna bail him out just so I can feed him as many tacos as he wants." Leo said, his eyes wide with disbelieve.

"Thats... That's a good question." I admitted. (I know you can't bail someone out of an Asylum, but I need to to work for the story. Kay? Kay.)

There was a loudspeaker thing that jumped us all. "Ten thousand bail." Chirsty's voice said, I could hear the hope in her voice.

"Thanks Christy!" I called, then turned to face Percy, Leo and Jason.

"Are you guys serious about bailing him out?" I asked Leo and Jason, who both nodded vigorously, but Percy shook his head no.

"You guy's don't have too. I was thrown in here for a reason, and I'm not worth that much." He argued.

"We're getting you out. We'll be here tomorrow with your bail." Jason said, standing up. Even I could tell it was the end of the conversation.

"We're getting you out of here." I told him, standing up too. "And Leo's gonna make so many tacos your gonna think you died and went to heaven."

Leo gave a huge thumbs up, a crazy grin plastered on his face.

*Timeskip, they're home*

We burst into my house, excited for tomorrow. "Good news." I said as we walked into the living room, where the rest of out friends were. "We're bailing him out."

"Wha- Why?" Thalia asked, stopping her conversation with Piper and Annabeth immediately.

"He's never had a freakin taco!" Leo exclaimed.

"Real reason?" Thalia asked, sounding annoyed.

"That kind of is the reason. His bail is cheap, well, cheap for us, and he's had a bad life. He worked a job to feed his family, but he never ate himself." I told her.

"We're doing it tomorrow." Jason confirmed, sitting down on the couch next to Leo while I sat in a chair.

"How much is his bail exactly?" Hazel asked.

"Ten thousand." I told her, cracking my knuckles.

"Wha- Nico! That's all your money!" Thalia exclaimed. "On a kid you barely know!"

"Tell me, Thalia." I said, leaning forward. "If you were eighteen and had a traumatic experience which got you thrown into a crazy house, would you want someone to bail you out? Even a stranger?" I asked.

"Well, yeah but..." I interupted her before she could finish.

"Case closed. We're bailing him, tomorrow." I told her. She gave me a skeptical look, but didn't argue any further.

"Hey!" Leo exclaimed, breaking the awkward silence. "I'm gonna go home! See you tomorrow!" He jumped up and ran out the front door.

"Me too." Annabeth agreed, getting up. "Bye Pipes, Bye Hazel."

Twenty minutes later, it was only me left in my house. I sighed in exasperation. "Well, I guess it's just me. Again."
