Arabella's POV

It's been almost a week since Henry and I have spoken and it's been alright for the most part. It's not awkward or tense, it's normal and we're best friends again. I don't know when we'll get back together, but when we do it will be amazing and our relationship will be stronger than ever. I can't wait for that moment to come.

Mary scheduled an appointment for her pregnancy and found out she's 14 weeks pregnant. She has weird food cravings, her tummy is growing a little, but she's controlling her mood swings. It's still a little early to figure out the gender, but hopefully in a week when she has her next appointment the gender will be known. Even after Mary finds out, she still doesn't want to know the gender because she wants it to be a surprise for all of us. I have a few names in mind I want the baby to be named.

Anyway, Henry, Charlotte, Jasper, Mary, Schwoz, and I were putting certain foods into a blender as my dad was watching the news. The five of us were on a liquid cleanse that's supposed to help us get night vision after a few days; we read it on the internet, it must be true.

I switched on the blender once we had enough food in it, but I heard my dad say something.

"Huh?" I asked him.

"What?" Schwoz asked.

"The pun! The funny, word joke they do at the beginning of the-"

"Hey! We can't hear what you're saying because the blender is too loud!" Henry screamed at my dad and Mary flinched at his voice, "it's drowning out what you're saying!"

"Aye, I can feel your spit!" Mary yelled at Henry, who ignored her.

"I can't hear the pun! Turn it off!" My dad yelled.

"Turn it off!" Henry yelled and Charlotte turned off the blender, "sorry, Mary."

She rolled her eyes as she wiped off his spit.

"That was your best pun yet!" Mary Gaperman on the news laughed and my dad groaned.

"Come on! I'm missing the word play!" My dad complained.

"In other news, police say that a truck full of imported Venetian ham was stolen today," Mary began and I glanced at screen. "Venetian ham is the world's most absurdly expensive pork product, often referred to as the 'Ferrari' of ham's."

I sniffed the carrot in my hands and let Henry sniff it, who nodded in approval and I dropped it in the blender.

"Authorities also say that some of the stolen hams contain an anti-theft device, a capsule of blue dye that will explode if someone tries to eat the ham," Trent explained and I grinned.

Would love to see that happen.

"Explosive blue dye, more like explosive-"

Henry switched on the blender right as Mary made her pun.

"Are you kidding me right now?" My dad asked with disbelief.

"You said you missed the pun so-"

My dad cut Mary off by zapping the blender, causing all of us to jump back in shock. Henry instinctively grabbed me and pulled me away, making me blush.

Nice to know he's still protective over me, even if we're broken up.

I turned to the tv screen to see that the news had ended and my dad was upset.

"No!"

"Goodnight Swellview!" Trent smiled as he and Mary got up and were greeted by everyone backstage, who cheered and congratulated them.

"Well, that's just great! Who knows when the news will be out again?!" My dad complained.

"24 hour news cycle!"

"Everyday!"

"Tomorrow!"

"It'll be there tomorrow, sweetie!"

"Just wait till tomorrow!"

"Just," my dad groaned. "What's with all the blending?"

"We're on a liquid cleanse!" Henry smiled as he poured himself a cup of the liquid.

"Hm?"

"We're on a liquid cleanse!" Henry repeated as I poured myself a cup.

"That's stupid!" My dad chuckled.

"Hm?"

"That's stupid!" He repeated.

"No, we saw a video on the internet, it says if you eat nothing but liquid food for three days, you get night vision!" Jasper explained.

"Yeah, you can see everything!" Henry agreed, "at night!"

"Without a flashlight!" I added.

"Smart one, science freak, pretty girlfriend, you three falling for this?" My dad asked Charlotte, Schwoz, and Mary.

"My brother tried it and he hasn't tripped down his stairs in the middle of the night for a whole week," Mary told us. "He's a very clumsy person, and not to mention he was able to catch that cricket that's been bugging him for the past month."

"Little Joey the Cricket?" I asked her, "he caught that thing?"

"Yeah, girl," she smiled at me.

"I just want night vision," Charlotte shrugged.

"Sometimes it's just nice to be part of of something," Schwoz grinned.

Henry's phone rang and he checked it as he walked away.

"How's the baby?" I asked Mary and she grinned with uneasiness.

"Fourteen weeks is usually the easiest stage, because it's the beginning of the second trimester," she told me as she sat down on the couch. "And I've done this before, it's a piece of cake now.

"Just don't push yourself," I advise her. "I want my baby brother or sister to be safe."

"So nice of you to care about me," she sarcastically remarked and I grinned at her. "And Ray is being extra cautious of me right now, so I think I'm okay on the safety part."

"Hey, I gotta go!" Henry called as he put his phone away and pushed the elevator button.

"Huh? You can't go, you're at work!" My dad protests and Henry turned to him, "somebody stole a truck full of fancy ham with exploding blue dye-"

Schwoz turned on the now fixed blender to make sure it worked.

"Dang it!" My dad yelled.

"Ah! I can't hear what you're saying because the blender is too loud!" Henry yelled over the blender and Ray's protests.

"I need you to stay here and help me with this situation!" My dad ordered Henry, who pretended he couldn't hear him and walked inside the elevator.

"HUH? I'm just gonna assume you said I can go home!" Henry exclaimed.

"No!"

"No?!"

"No stay!"

"Go away?!" Henry asked him as the elevator doors began to close.

"No!"

"Okay! Goodbye!" Henry yelled right as the door closed and my dad snarled at him right as Schwoz turned off the blender.

I looked at the news, which was still broadcasting, but it was just the cheers and applause of everyone back stage.

"How long does it take the news to end?" I asked with confusion.

Later, Schwoz was still trying to fix the blender and Henry had called my dad about something.

"Sorry, Henry, you're gonna have to speak up! The Science Freak is fixing the blender!" My dad yelled over the blender and moments later my dad zapped the blender, making us jump and yell at him, "you were saying?"

"You know that truck full of Venetian hams that got stolen?" I hear Henry ask my dad.

"Oh, yeah, that fancy hams with exploding blue dye?" My dad asked.

"I know who stole them," Henry told him.

"Who?"

"The dumbest criminal in Swellview!"

Jeff. That idiot he's even dumber then Mary on the news.

"Jeff!" My dad snarled.

"Jeff!"

"Eff?" Schwoz asked.

"No, Jeff," Henry corrected.

"How'd you know it was, Jeff?" My dad asked.

"Because he's at my house right now and he just showed up with expensive Venetian ham!" Henry explained with irritation.

"Why is Jeff at your house?" My dad asked him.

"His brother is dating my sister," Henry began.

"Piper is dating Jeff's brother?" I asked with disbelief.

"Yes! Jeff is a Bilsky!" Henry continued and my eyes grew with shock.

"What?" I asked out loud.

"Piper is dating a Bilsky?" Jasper asked.

"Poor girl," Mary shook her head and I nodded.

"Yes! Mitch Bilsky is at my house and so is his mom, and so is his older brother, Jeff!" Henry rambled on with annoyance.

"Eff?" Schwoz asked.

"Yes!"

My dad got out his gum and pointed at Henry with anger, "you keep him there, Henry! You keep him there!"

"No, no, no, dude," Henry stopped him, "I don't want to ruin this dinner party for my sister."

"Yeah, well, you know who else is having a dinner party right now?" My dad asked him.

"Don't say justice!" Henry and I both replied.

"Justice!" My dad finished and I sighed, "I'm on my way to your house." My dad poured himself a gum ball.

"No, dude, look, we'll wait till the dinner's over, and then will go to Jeff's apartment and we'll arrest him there!" Henry explained to my dad.

"No, new plan-"

My dad got cut off by Henry abruptly ending the call and made a face at this.

After that, my dad left and went over to Henry's house to solve the Jeff problem.

The night, Henry and my dad returned and the five of us turned off the lights and set up a few traps for Henry and my dad to step on. The liquid cleanse worked and we now have night vision.

It's so cool to be able to see in the dark.

Henry and my dad walked out of the elevator talking about ham, but they stopped when my dad slipped on the bucket and fell over. The five of us laughed at him from our corner and Henry looked around with cautious.

"Hey, why the lights off?!" Henry asked.

"Because we don't need them!" Schwoz exclaimed as my dad stood up.

"We don't need no lights!" I laughed.

"We have night vision now!" Jasper smiled.

"The liquid cleanse worked!" Charlotte beamed.

"It worked so well!" Mary chuckled.

"Well, turn them back on!" My dad scolded, before tripping on the ladder and falling over, "ahhh!"

The five of us laughed and I noticed Henry press the elevator button and retreated inside.

"I'm okay!" My dad groaned trying to stand up.

"I'm going home!" Henry called as the elevator doors shut.

Later that same night, I was at Mary's house working on my song for the Spring Sing that was next week. I had no idea how close it actually was until now and I needed to write a song for the performance. I've been inspired by something and so far the song is great, well I think it is.

The doorbell rang and I got up to answer it.

"GET THE DOOR!"

"I AM!" I shouted back to Mary before I opened the door. I immediately froze at the sight of the person in front of me and felt my blood ran cold. I couldn't believe who it was.

I was rendered speechless by their presence and cleared my throat.

The person smiled at me, "hey."

"Logan," I managed to say in shock. "What-" I rubbed my neck and gave him an uncomfortable look. "What are you doing here?"

Three years ago, Logan broke my heart and cheated on me with a girl. And now he's here, and I don't know how to comprehend it.

"I came to see you," Logan admitted with his dazzling smile that fooled me at fourteen years old.

I blinked a few times before nodding, "oh..."
