Rubber Duck

Arabella's POV

I was at Henry's house and I was at the dinner table with Piper and Henry. Piper was working on homework, while Henry was talking about the same dreams he's been having and to be honest, I wasn't listening to him. I have heard him talk about this dream hundreds of times and as much as I love that he dreams about me, it gets annoying after awhile.

Henry's dream starts off with him driving to Junk-N-Stuff with his mini car and drives into the Man Cave to see a mysterious girl cooking beams, aka me. As he gets closer to me, the fog from the beans blur his vision and he isn't able to see me as well, but when he approaches me I suddenly turn into Jasper and then Henry wakes up.

It's a weird dream, but everything about our lives is weird.

"And that's how my dream always ends." Henry finished, but Piper and I didn't really react to him. "Pretty crazy, right?"

I looked up from my phone and Piper took out her earbud.

"What?"

"Huh?" Henry asked as he was coloring.

"Were you talking?" Piper asked him.

"Was I-yeah, l was talk- I told you and Airy the whole dream that I had!" Henry remarked.

"About what?" Piper questioned.

"Well, I'm not gonna tell it again." Henry said and I sighed.

"Thank god." I muttered.

"Thank you!" Piper said, returning to her homework.

"Really?" Henry asked me and I shrugged my shoulders, "of all people, you should listen to my crazy dream."

"I have listened to it about hundred times." I remarked to him, "it gets boring after awhile, honey."

"But it involves you." He reasoned.

"As much as I love that, it gets a little annoying." I told him and he rolled his eyes.

"Henry! Piper! Your dad and I are about to leave!" I heard Mrs. Hart call from upstairs and I turned to see her and Mr. Hart descend from the stairs with luggage.

I forgot that Henry and Piper's parents are leaving for Toronto for a few days.

"Okay!" Henry called.

"See ya," Piper said and I smiled at them.

"Have fun," I called and Mrs. Hart smiled at me.

"Oh, hi, Bella!" She greeted, "didn't know you were here."

"I snuck in." I grinned at her and she smiled. I looked at Henry's coloring and noticed he was coloring outside the lines.

"You're coloring outside the lines." I mentioned and he gave me a sassy look.

"Like you can do any better." He remarked.

"Like you can do any better." I mimicked, but I earned a poke from his crayon, "aw, why?"

"Piper! Come help me with the luggage!" Mr. Hart called

Said girl groaned, "why can't Henry help you? He's the boy!"

"Because your father has to give him instructions while we're out of town." Mrs. Hart explained.

"Alright!" Piper groaned and got up from her seat to help with the luggage, while Mr. Hart approached Henry and I.

"Okay, Henry, pick up your phone." Mr. Hart told his son and he looked up.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Your phone. I have instructions for you and I want you to get them on video." Mr. Hart explained and Henry sighed, picking up his phone.

"Alright, I'll shoot a video." Henry stood up and I looked at Henry's coloring book, "don't touch my crayons."

I pouted and folded my arms, "I'm not gonna touch them, because I don't want to touch them."

Henry waited for his father to clean himself, before he pointed the camera at him.

"Okay, go." Henry pressed record and let his father talk.

"Hi, my name is Jake 'Dad' Hart. Now, Henry, your mom and I will be in Toronto for three days, now follow me, I wanna show you something." Mr. Hart led Henry over to the shelves and I stayed in my seat. My eyes wandered over to Henry's coloring book and I was tempted to color the pretty tiger.

"Don't do it." I muttered to myself, "it's tempting, but don't."

"Okay, see this." Mr. Hart showed Henry his mini toy car model.

"Yes, I see it." Henry said.

"This is my vintage remote control sports car from the late nineteen hundreds." Mr. Hart informed.

"Wow." Henry said and by now I had picked up Henry's crayons and had unwillingly began to color the tiger pink.

"You can never stop Arabella from coloring a pretty tiger." I chuckled to myself.

"This is not a toy." Mr. Hart mentioned.

"That is literally a toy." Henry remarked.

"While your mom and I are gone, you are not to play with my car." Mr. Hart ordered.

"I don't want to play with it." Henry said.

"Play-o, no no." Mr. Hart told him.

"Don't don't want to." Henry said.

"Fine." Mr. Hart said, "now, I think your mother has something she wants to tell you."

I quickly put down the crayons and moved the book away from me.

"Henry, over here!" Mrs. Hart called and Henry turned to her.

"Oh!" Henry said and approached the waving woman, "hey mom."

"Now, Henry, I assume you know what this is?" Mrs. Hart told him, lifting up an egg.

"It's an egg." Henry guessed.

"This is an egg."

"I assumed I was right."

"It's hard boiled." Mrs. Hart mentioned

"Okay?"

"Do not eat this egg." Mrs. Hart ordered him.

"Alright."

"Don't even touch it."

"I don't wanna touch it."

Mrs. Hart smiled, "good."

"Good for both of us." Henry said as she put the egg away.

Well, now I wanna touch the egg and the car even more.

"Okay, Henry!" Mr. Hart called and Henry turned, walking up to his father.

"Yeah, dad!"

I grabbed the coloring book and continued to color.

"While we're gone, no parties!"

"I won't have any parties." Henry declared.

"The only guests you're allowed to have in this house are Bella, Charlotte, and Jasper." Mr. Hart continued and I smiled.

"Yay!"

"Actual, just Bella and Charlotte." He corrected.

"Got it." Henry said, "so, how are you guys getting to the airport?"

"Piper's driving us." Mr. Hart mentioned and I looked up to see Piper with her license.

"Cuz I have a driver's license." She smiled.

"Yeah, which they sent you by mistake!" Henry reasoned.

"Still valid!" She glared.

Suddenly, Charlotte walked in and I looked at her.

"Oh, hey, Henry!" She greeted and she waved to me, "hey, Bells!"

"Yo!" I greeted her.

"Oh, hey, what are you doing here?" Henry asked Charlotte.

"After I drop mom and dad off at the airport, we're gonna go see a movie." Piper explained to him.

I was gonna go with them, but I've already seen the movie and I didn't want to see it twice.

"With Piper?" Henry asked.

"I was gonna go with Bells, but she's already seen the movie." Charlotte mentioned, "and I work with mostly boys, I need a break."

"Preach, sister!" I called and Charlotte gave me a smile with finger guns.

"Okay, Henry," Mrs. Hart began, "well, we better go so we don't miss our plane."

"Shot gun!" Mr. Hart called and ran out of the house with his suitcase.

"Hey, I called shot gun!" Mrs. Hart protested and followed him out the door.

"See ya, Hen and Bells." Charlotte waved as she and Piper walked out.

"Dummy." Piper muttered, before they were gone and Henry ended the video.

"Okay, Airy, we get the house to ourselves for the night, wanna-"

He paused when he reached me and saw my coloring.

"Did you color my tiger?" He asked and I giggled, showing him my masterpiece.

"Look! I colored the tiger pink!"

Henry leaned closer, "you didn't color within the lines."

"So?" I asked him, setting down the book, "like you can do any better."

"I bet I can." He challenges me and I stood up, looking up at the tall boy.

"I doubt that." I scoffed at him and he leaned closer to me, "I mean look at that monkey. What a joke."

"Did you just insult my monkey?" He asked me and I smirked.

"I did and I'm proud of it."

We had a stare down for a few moments and it was intense.

Henry suddenly sighed, "wanna just kiss on the couch and color together later?"

"Sure." I shrugged and Henry grabbed my hand, pulling me to the couch. We sat down and he pulled me into his arms, attaching his lips to mine and we began to kiss.

——

A few minutes had passed and we were still kissing.

Henry pulled away slightly and smiled at me.

"You have the prettiest eyes."

I blushed and giggled, "not as pretty as yours."

Henry connected our lips again, but we were interrupted.

"HIYA HENRY AND BELLA!"

Henry and I yelled, jumping apart and I crawled onto Henry's lap with his arms holding me close.

"Ahhhh!" I yelled and saw Jasper standing there with a bright smile. "Boy! What the fricking heck?!"

"Dude! How did you enter my house and why would you did that?!" Henry exclaimed to Jasper, slowly letting me go and I sat back down on the couch.

"Well, I waited till your parents were gone, then I crawled through your window and waited until you and Bella started to kiss." Jasper smiled and I sighed, rubbing my forehead.

Henry stood up and I stayed sitting, "okay, normal guys don't do those things."

"I think we've established that Jasper isn't normal." I pointed out, getting up and walking into the kitchen.

"Ah, true dat," Jasper grinned.

"So, you two ready?" Jasper asked us as he bent down and picked up a boom box.

"For what?" I asked him, sitting at the counter.

"Fun! Crazy, weird, teenage fun!" Jasper smiled.

"You just described me in three words." I mentioned and Jasper gave me a wink.

"What are you doing with that boom box and-" Jasper pulled out a corn on the cob from his pocket and I raised an eyebrow. "And why do you have corn in your pants?"

Does he just carry corn in his pocket?

"Just get ready to hit play." Jasper instructed as he stood behind the couch.

"But the corn?" I asked him, "why would you-oh forget it."

I rested my chin on my hand and Henry put his hands on my shoulders.

"Alright! Hit it!" Jasper smirked and I pressed play on the boom box.

Suddenly, Jasper leaped on the couch with red sparkly underpants and began to dance and sing. Henry and I were absolutely horrified by the sight, but I couldn't find myself to look away. Jasper tossed his corn and it smacked me in the chest and I mentally groaned.

Jasper fell back onto the couch and I groaned with horror at what he was doing and shut my eyes.

"No!" I cried.

"No, no! Stop! Oh my god stop!" Henry exclaimed, pausing the music and Jasper sat up.

"Thank you!" I sighed and Henry removed his hands from my shoulders to confront Jasper.

"What's wrong?" Jasper asked.

I think it's more appropriate to ask what's right in this situation.

"That activity you're doing to my couch." Henry pointed out and I nodded.

"It's disturbing."

"Yeah, what about it?" Jasper asked, standing up.

"Don't do it anymore." I told him and Henry nodded.

Jasper groaned, "duuuuuuuuude!"

"That was a long dude." Henry mentioned.

"Come here." Jasper gestured and Henry rolled his eyes, going up to him. "Come here!"

"I'm coming!"

Jasper put his arm around Henry and I sat there, listening.

"Your parents are in Toronto, alright? That's particularly another country." Jasper began.

"Yeah," Henry said.

"Sometimes you just gotta say... rubber duck." Jasper told him and I raised an eyebrow.

That's random and weird, I love it.

"Why would I say rubber duck?" Henry asked and I scoffed.

"Why wouldn't you say rubber duck?" I grinned and Henry gave me a look.

"What? Airy."

I shrugged at him with a grin.

"Cuz, rubber duck sets you free." Jasper explained, "it's a way of saying 'hey world, I'm gonna have fun! I don't care what happens! Rubber duck!'"

"Couldn't I just say that, but without the rubber duck part?" Henry asked.

"Where's the fun in that?" I asked and Jasper pointed at me.

"Exactly!" Jasper said, "see, Bella gets it?"

I grinned as Henry gave me a confused look.

"Till this day, I still don't understand you."

"And that's how I like it." I respond, before the doorbell rang.

"I wonder who that is." Henry said and Jasper smiled.

"You'll see."

"Alright, I'll get the door! You put some pants on, there's a lady in the house." Henry ordered his best friend and I scoffed as I stood up and walked into the living room.

"Rubber duck!" Jasper exclaimed.

"Stop saying that!" Henry told his best friend, before opening the door and a man stood there.

"Hello, are you Henry? I'm looking for Henry." The man asked.

"Uh, no, no, I'm, um, I'm Hen...ro!" Henry told the man.

"It sounds pretty close to Henry." The man remarked.

"Right, but it's different." Henry reasoned and I rolled my eyes with a smile. "Cuz the 'ro' part. Excuse me just a sec."

Henry shut the door and rushed away from the door. "Who's that guy?! What does he want with me?!"

Jasper grabbed a panicking Henry, "I booked us manis!"

My eyes lit up and I smiled with delight, "really?!"

"You booked us what?!" Henry exclaimed.

"That guy does manicures." Jasper informed.

"Wait, wait, are you talking about fingernails?" Henry asked him.

"Yeah, he works at the salon my mom goes to once a year." Jasper told him.

"What makes you think I would want him to do my nails?!" Henry asked with irritation.

"Rubber duck!" Jasper smiled.

"No, that's a bad answer!" Henry exclaimed, "come on, tell him to leave!"

"Why would I leave?"

Henry screamed, falling to the floor and I jumped, yelping with fear.

"Eppp!"

Henry stood up and we looked at the man, who had entered the house in some way.

"I came in through in the back door."

I would've guessed the chimney like Santa Claus, but that was my second guess.

"Okay, sir, I don't mean to be rude, but, uh, I like my fingernails just the way they are." Henry told the man.

"What if I get your little girlfriend to do them?" The man asked and my eyes lit up.

"Huh?" Henry asked and I shrugged.

"I've done nails before." I remarked, "I've done Charlotte and Mary's nails and they turned out pretty good."

"Babe, I don't want it to be too much of a hassle for you." Henry reasoned and I scoffed.

"Fine, then I guess I'll just leave and-"

"No! You can do my nails!" Henry quickly said and I grinned. "You can do my nails."

"Great, I'll go grab Piper's nail kit." I smiled, before I headed upstairs.

"Rubber duck." I heard Henry say and I chuckled.

——

After I had grabbed Piper's nail kit, I headed back downstairs and saw Henry sitting on the couch.

"Okay, Hen, I'm ready to do your nails." I told him as I set down the kit and Henry stood up, putting his hands out for me.

"Uh, do we stand?" He asked me and I smiled at his cute awkwardness, "do I give you my-I don't know what to do."

I giggled and sat down, which made Henry sit down and Jasper turned on some music.

I picked up a nail file and took Henry's hand. I smiled at him as I began to file his nails and Henry's cheeks turned bright red.

——

Time passed and Zack, the manicurist, had started his manicure on Jasper. Henry and I had moved to the kitchen table.

"You're not gonna paint my nails, are you?" He asked me and I smiled.

"I can go upstairs and get bright pink if ya want?" I asked him.

"I'm good," he chuckled and I giggled.

——

Little later, I was giving Henry a pedicure, because I was just in the mood and didn't want to his feet left out.

Suddenly, the door blew open and a bunch of leaves blew in and this disturbed all of us. I lowered my hands and turned to the door with confusion.

"Jasper, turn off the music." Henry told Jasper, who turned off the music. Henry stood up and I followed in pursuit, "why did the door just blow open?"

Suddenly, my dad came walking with a leaf blower and I sighed with an eye roll.

Mary leaves for two days for her daughter's wedding and this is how he behaves.

"Hey, Henry! Bella, my sweet daughter!" My dad greeted, still using the leave blower, "look at my new leaf blower!"

My dad turns it off and I fold my arms at him.

"It's cordless." My dad added and I nodded.

"Wow." Henry said.

My dad laughed, "no cord!"

"Dad, why?" I asked him.

"Because I can!" He laughed and blew the leaf blower right up Henry's face, and Henry just stood there as his hair blew straight up. My dad slowly stopped and laughed to himself, "aw man!... I'm gonna make a sandwich."

He walked into the kitchen and I turned to him.

"Just because Mary went to California for two days for her daughter's wedding, doesn't mean you get to be here." I berated him.

"Yes, it does." He remarked with a sassy voice and I gave him a look.

"Alright, Jasper, take your feet out of that tub and dry your feet off with this towel." I heard Zack tell Jasper, who did those things.

"Okay."

"Aw, no way!" I turned when I heard my dad laugh, "no way, no way, no way!"

"What? No, no, no, no! That's my dad's! I'm not aloud to touch it!" Henry protested, leaping over the couch to stop my dad from touching the car.

"Well, that don't mean that I can't," my dad laughed.

I went over to them and took the car from his hands.

"Aw."

Henry took the car and placed it back on the self.

"Hey, a remote!" My dad smiled and picked up the remote for the car.

"Dude, don't touch the remote," Henry sighed.

"Henry, I think I know how to work a remote for a remote control car." My dad remarked and I shook my head, but right then my dad pushed the switch forward and then car turned on. My eyes grew as the car launched forward into the air and all of us watched as it flew across the room

"Noooooo!" Henry called so he ran across the room and slid onto his knees, catching the car before it landed in the tub of water.

All of us sighed with relief and I smiled.

"Thank you, thank you!" Henry smiled with relief.

"Henry, your nails!" Zack warned him, causing Henry to scream and drop the car in the tub of water.

"Ahhhhh! No, no! No, no!" Henry cried as the car short circuited in the water. Henry sat up and faced my dad with an angry glare.

"Uh, alright." My dad awkwardly said as he put the controller away. "Just, uh, I know you're mad at me, but, I think I know what to do here." I watched my father cautiously leave the household, "so, I'll be-hang on!" My dad paused for a moment, before sprinting out and I rolled my eyes.

Mary needs to come home, so she can beat him up. He's indestructible, so it'll be fine.

We heard my dad get into his car and drive away. I walked over to Henry and kneeled down next to him as he picked up the damaged car. He opened the car door and water poured out of the car interior.

"Feels bad!"

——

We had called a repairman to fix the car and we all were hoping he could fix the car, or else Henry could get an eternal grounding.

"Alright, kids, you can set the car down and help me off the kitchen counter." Mr. Curtis, the repairman, told us and Jasper put down the car and we helped him off the counter. "Easy, okay, careful! Hey, hey! Don't break me! Okay, just put me down!"

The three of backed away as Mr. Curtis got to his feet and we walked over to the car.

"So, what do you think?" Henry asked him, "can you fix it?"

"Yeah, I can fix it." He smiled and the three of us were relieved.

"Yes!"

"Thank you!"

"That is great news."

"It will cost you three thousand bucks."

The three of us were shocked by his words and leaned in.

"What?"

"Did you say three thou-

"Sand?" Henry finished for Jasper.

"Yeah! This is a vintage remote control car." Mr. Curtis explained, "from the nineteen hundreds!"

"Yeah, I know," Henry replied.

"Why'd you go and dunk it in water-"

"I didn't mean too!" Henry snapped and I rubbed his arm.

"Alright!" Mr. Curtis said defensively.

"Hey! We're back from the movie."

I turned and saw Charlotte and Piper had returned from the movie.

"Great, did you bring me three thousand dollars?" Henry sarcastically asked them

"No," Piper denied with confusion.

"But, I brought you a half a box of Milk Doods and some sour patch sticks." Charlotte told us and my eyes lit up.

"I'll take some doods," Jasper chirped.

"I'll take some sticks!" I beamed and Charlotte tossed us both the Milk Doods and sour patch sticks.

"Want a manicure?" Zack asked the girls and they were confused.

"Uh.... who are you and why are you in my house?" Piper asked Zack.

"Yeah, who are you?" Charlotte asked him.

"Oh, he's a professional manicurist, Zack," Jasper informed, "he is unbelievably-"

"Oh my god!" Piper exclaimed, going up to Mr. Curtis and took the car. "You played with dad's vintage car?!"

"No, I didn't play with it!" Henry protested, "okay? My boss came in here and drove it into some foot water and now it's gonna cost me three thousand bucks to fix it!"

"Hey, I hate to bring this up, but you me fifty bucks for the mani's." Zack mentioned to Henry.

"Yeah, okay." Henry nodded.

"Woah, fifty bucks is pretty cheap for a couple of manicures." Charlotte pointed out.

"Dang straight it's cheap," Zack told her.

"Okay, people!" Henry exclaimed and I grabbed his hand to try to calm him down. "Look, my parents are gonna be back in two days! And when my dad sees that I broke his dumb toy car, he's gonna make my mom kill me!"

"Just calm down," I whispered to Henry and he rubbed his face, "it'll be okay."

"Look, son, if I may," Mr. Curtis cut in.

"Yeah, what's up?" Henry asked him.

"You need me to fix your dad's car before your parents get home, so you need to get hands on three thousand bucks." Mr. Curtis summed up the situation and Henry nodded.

"Yeah."

"So, why don't you have a party?" Mr. Curtis suggested, "invite a bunch of teenagers here on Saturday night," he turned to Zack, "you must know a bunch of people who give manicures."

"I know a lot." Zack pointed out and looked at me, "and this girl seems to know a thing or two about manicures."

"I do," I grinned.

"There you go." Mr. Curtis said, "you get your friends together with his friends, you have yourself a wild mani party. Make some money, split the profits, and you should have enough cash left over to pay me to fix your dad's car."

Henry looked around at us and we all shrugged, not denying the suggestion. It sounds like a great idea to me.

"I don't know," Henry admitted with uncertainty, "my parents said I'm not allowed to have any parties while they're out of town."

"Kid, sometimes your just gotta say... rubber duck!" Mr. Curtis smiled and I laughed.

"See?!" Jasper beamed and Henry gave Mr. Curtis a look.

——

Saturday Night

Henry eventually agreed to have a party and it was in full swing. We had invited a bunch of our friends over along with Zack inviting over a bunch of his fellow manicurists over. I called Mary's sister, who is a professional manicurist, and she came over to help with the party. I was also doing people's nails and I was charging them a good eighty bucks for each mani.

During the night, I was taking a break and went up to Henry.

"Hey," I greeted and Henry kissed my lips.

"Hey, babe," he greeted, "great party, huh?"

"It's amazing," I smile, "I would be surprised if we don't make the money."

"You know, I was thinking," Henry began.

"That's never good," I joke and he nudges my arm, making me chuckle.

"I was thinking, you should stay over tonight, ya know?" He asked me and I smiled with a blush.

"And maybe kiss a little?" I asked.

"If you're lucky."

"I feel lucky," I giggle and Henry leaned down, kissing me.

I'm very lucky.

——

A little bit later, Charlotte, Piper, Jasper, and I had collected enough money to fix the toy car. It was actually a lot easier than I had thought, I guess people like having their nails done.

I rushed outside to find Henry talking to some dude, who seemed very bored.

"Henry! We did it!"

"Did what?!" He shot up.

"Look!" I smile and showed him the three thousand bucks in my hands. "Three thousand dollars. And Piper and Charlotte are collecting more money right now."

"Aw, man," Henry chuckled, taking the money, "okay problem solved."

"Yeah, unless there's also some unforeseen complication," I shrugged.

"Right," Henry said then shook his head, before we headed back inside and gave Mr. Curtis the cash for the toy car.

"Twenty nine-hundred and sixty, twenty nine-hundred and eighty. Three thousand." Henry counted, placing down the last couple hundred bucks. "Right there, three thousand dollars."

"Yeah, you can count it if you want," Jasper told him.

"I just counted it," Henry remarked and Mr. Curtis shoved the money into his pocket, before sitting back and relaxing. "Come on, man! I really need this!"

"Alright!" The man exclaimed, "open my tool box."

Henry opened his tool box and Mr. Curtis pulled out a tool as Jasper handed him the car. Mr Curtis flipped the car over and we waited for him to finish.

"So, uh, how long-"

"Done!" Mr. Curtis smiles and we were shocked.

"You're done?" I asked him.

"Yeah, push the green button on the remote and move the joystick forward." Mr. Curtis instructed and I picked up the remote.

"Um, okay," I say and pushed the green button on the remote and pushed the joystick forward, causing the car's wheel to spin and the headlights to turn on.

"Ta-da!" Mr. Curtis smiles and the three of us cheered.

"Wow!" I laughed.

"It works!" Jasper beamed.

"Oh my god, you're like a genius- wait, you charged me three thousand bucks and then you fix it in five seconds?" Henry asked him with slight irritation.

"Rubber duck," Mr. Curtis shrugged and laughed.

I giggled as Henry was confused.

"What? No, no, no, no, no! That's not cool! That's not cool man, why is he laughing like that?!"

"Henry!"

I turned and Piper and Charlotte were approaching us.

"Don't point at me like that! Don't!" Henry groaned and pulled me over to the girls.

"Henry!"

"Yeah, what's up?" Henry asked his sister.

"Mom and dad just called," Piper told him.

"Yeah, so?" Henry questioned.

"They're on their way here!"

My eyes grew with shock.

"What? No, no, no! They're in Toronto," Henry protested.

"Nu-uh," Piper denied, "when they were changing planes to Chicago, dad went to the men's room and dropped his passport in the toilet!"

"Why didn't he just reach in and grab it?!" Henry asked.

"He tried, but it was an auto flusher!" Piper exclaimed and I shook my head.

"Oh my god!" Henry gasped.

"Those are the worst!" I chime in.

"His arm got stuck in the toilet, so they had to call the fire department to pull it out," Piper explained.

"So, mom and dad bailed on their trip?!" Henry asked her.

"Yeah, they just called from Nacho Ball and said they'll be home soon!" Piper remarked.

"Wait, wait, wait! Which Nacho Ball?!" Henry asked her with panic, "the close one or the nice one?!"

Piper grabbed Henry's jacket, "the close one!"

Henry yelled with panic and paced into the kitchen, "okay! Okay, okay! Jasper, turn off the music!"

"Okay!" Jasper shut off the music and everyone became silent.

"Okay! Everyone please listen up! Please!" Henry announced, gaining everyone's attention, "I need everyone to grab their stuff and get out immediately!" Nobody listened and Henry gestured once again to make a point, and then a few more times.

"Why?!" Oliver asked him.

"Uh, cuz-"

"Cuz, the snakes got loose!" I yelled and everyone began to flee from the house, taking their stuff.

"Henry, your parents just pulled up in the driveway!" Jasper informed Henry, looking out the window.

"Okay, everyone go out the back door! Back door!" Henry yelled and everyone rushed to the back door, "Airy, Charlotte!"

Charlotte and I went up to Henry.

"Go outside and try to stall my parents!"

"Okay!" We said and rushed out the door to stall his parents.

Charlotte and I stalled Henry's parents as long as we could, before they got curious. Charlotte had left and I ran back inside to see the house was completely clean and nothing was suspicious looking.

"They're right behind me!" I exclaimed and Henry gestured me over to the couch.

"Sit! Sit!" I ran over and sat next to Henry. He threw his arm around my shoulders and I leaned into his body.

The door opened and Mr and Mrs. Hart walked in.

"We're home!"

"We're back!"

"Hey!

"Hiya!" I smiled, "why you back so early?"

"I don't want to talk about it," Mr. Hart remarked.

"Just don't smell your father's arm," Mrs. Hart told us and I grinned.

"Noted."

"That's a deal.

"I'm gonna go wash my arm," Mr. Hart told us.

"Have fun," Henry smiled as his father walked away.

"I don't think they noticed," I muttered to Henry and he pulled me closer to him.

"Me neither."

"Henry."

We turned and saw Henry's mom in the kitchen.

"Yeah, mom?"

"Can I see you in the kitchen?" She asked him, "Bella, sweetie, you just sit there and look pretty."

"Okay," I shrugged as Henry got up and I became nervous.

"Uh, yeah, sure," Henry walked over to his mother and I crawled over to the back of the couch to listen, "hey, what's up?"

"There's a problem," she began and my eyes grew.

Crap.

"Problem?" Henry asked.

"With my egg," she said and lifted up her egg. I leaned closer and noticed a small crack on it.

Uh-oh.

"What do you mean?" Henry asked her.

"It's cracked. My egg is cracked," she pointed.

"Well, I mean you can still eat it, right?" Henry chuckled.

"No, Henry, I can't still eat it," she denied and handed him the egg, before walking passed him. "I'm way upset with you," she walked away after that and I gave her a soft smile.

"Goodnight, Mrs. Hart."

"Goodnight, Arabella."

She left our sight after that and Henry looked at the egg closely, before looking at me and shrugged.

"Rubber duck!"

He tossed the egg behind him and walked back over to me.

Sometimes you just gotta say, rubber duck.
