Game of Phones

Mary's POV (Fun new pov)

"Why do we always stay all night when we go to Messy's All Night Barbecue?" Henry asked all of us as we trudged our way back Junk'N'Stuff with messed up hair and clothes. "Look what it does to Airy."

We all turned to find Henry and I dragging her unconscious body across the floor.

"It's called all night for a reason," Bella groaned through her sleep.

"I hope Bork took care of Violet okay," I mentioned as I pulled my daughter to her feet and she groaned loudly as I placed her on my back.

"Bork loves babies," Schwoz assured me.

"Why do you guys always buy the t-shirts?" Charlotte asked my husband and Henry, who had sauced covered t-shirts from the barbecue place. Ray's shirt was a bit small and looked like a crop top on him.

"Why do you always buy them before we eat?" Piper asked as we all stepped over two young girls and into the store.

"I have a better question, why does Ray always get meat crazy and threaten to fire anybody who leaves early?" Jasper added on.

"Or anyone who tries to order a salad," Schwoz finished as he shut the door behind him. "Peeper."

"Yeah, who orders a salad at a meat place?" I asked Piper, dropping Bella on the sofa and she groaned loudly, curling herself up to sleep.

"It was a pulled pork sandwich with Culshaw," Piper reasoned.

"If it has lettuce, it's a salad!" Ray snapped and I nodded.

"Yeah, dawg, salad shamers!" Henry laughed and they went for a hi-five but failed horribly.

"Is Airy alive?" Henry asked us and we looked over to find Bella had rolled off the sofa and was face-first into the floor.

"Yeah," I nodded and took another look. "Jasper, check her pulse."

"On it," Jasper said and checked her pulse on her neck. "She's good."

"Thank you, I get worried sometimes," Henry remarked.

"Hey, did anyone else step over two girls just now?" Charlotte asked us and I thought for a moment, remembering the two girls I stepped over outside.

"When?" Jasper asked and everyone else didn't recall the two girls outside.

This led to Ray opening the store door and we followed him to find two young girls laying outside the store.

"Oh yeah, girls," Ray pointed and the brunette looked up at us, while the blonde didn't move her eyes from the ground. We sort of mumbled about stuff for a bit, before I kneeled down to the girls.

"Why are you two here?" I asked them.

"We're looking for Captain Man," the blonde informed us, finally turning her head and I could see cloudiness in her blue eyes.

Ray laughed, sitting down, "Captain Man? What? In a junk store? Haha! That's crazy! Right guys?!"

All of us agreed while laughing and Ray leaned in toward Schwoz, "get the memory wiper."

Suddenly, the two girls stood up and glared at us.

"You think that's funny?!" The brunette snapped and all of us backed into the store with the girls following us. I felt Ray take my shoulders as the girls stood in front of us. "Well, do you?"

"Keep laughing and see what happens!" The blonde snarled at us, cracking her knuckles.

"We need to find Captain Man," the brunette informed us again and held up two chains. "And we're not unchaining ourselves until we do.

"Look, I'm sorry, little girls, but obviously none of us are Captain Man," Henry informed them. "I mean look at us."

"Yeah, look at her," I pointed to Bella, who still hadn't moved from her last position.

"I can't look at you," the blonde mentioned and waved a hand in front of her eyes. "I'm blind."

"I'm sorry," I say and she glares at me, which confused me on how she knew where I was exactly.

"Whatever," she mumbled, folding her arms.

"Just to point it out, I could be Captain Man," Ray pointed out and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Yes, but you're not," Henry denied.

"I'm just saying, if any of us could be Captain Man, obviously it would be-"

"Me!" Schwoz grinned.

"No," Ray denied.

"I'm okay!" Schwoz exclaimed.

"Shut your filthy mouth, Schwoz!" Ray threatened and I pulled Schwoz back as Henry held Ray back.

"Woah, Woah! Hey, hey!" Henry said to Ray, calming him down.

"Hey, what makes you two think Captain Man would be in front of this random store?" Charlotte asked the girls.

"Someone on the internet plotted the locations of all of Captain Man's missions, divided them by their response time, and used Doddle Maps to determine that he must live somewhere near this store," the brunette explained and all of us pretended to be in shock and not believe her, even if she is one hundred percent spot on.

After mumbling about how crazy the girls are and Schwoz walking away to find the memory wiper, Jasper spoke from behind the counter.

"If you need to talk to Captain Man, why don't you just call his hotline?"

"We can't," the blonde replied.

"Of course you can!" I smile.

"24 hours!" Henry said.

"We don't have a phone, okay?!" Both girls exclaimed and we became silent.

"We're phoneless," the brunette continued and all of us gasped with shock.

"The horror," I say.

"You poor things," Piper said, shaking her head. "Phonlessness is a big problem here in Swellview.'

All of us agreed as Piper sat the two girls down on the hand chair so we can talk to them.

"Tell us how this happened," Piper told them.

"My name is Lula Elena Chapa De Silva," the brunette introduced herself and Ray groaned.

"I'm gonna call you Tammy."

(That's my name but spelled differently)

"Call me Chapa," the brunette corrected.

"Okay," Ray shrugged and pulled out a piece of bread from his pocket, eating it.

"And I'm Terra Stevens," the blonde introduced. "Just Terra.

"See, that's a simpler name," Ray mentioned and Chapa glared at him.

"We both once had a phone, it was our firsts," Terra began with a smile. "Mine was a special phone for blind people, like myself."

All of us 'awwed" at her statement and I took her hand, "must've been beautiful."

"Gorgeous," Terra said.

"I still remember my first phone," Piper mentioned.

"The four of us went everywhere together," Chapa said, taking Terra's hand. "We were so happy, but then, a boy stole them!"

Piper gasped as the girls stood and I rose to my feet with shock.

"No!" I gasped.

"He took them to video chat a puppy and call his grandmother from the hospital at the same time," Terra explained. "And we believed him."

"We were so young," Chapa said with sorrow.

"When did this happen?" Henry asked them.

"Last month," Terra said and we mumbled about the time length of the missing phones.

"Since then, we've walked from town to town looking for el chico que robó nuestros phones," Chapa explained and this left some of us confused.

"What?" Henry said.

"The boy who stole our phones," I informed them and they understood me.

"You speak Spanish?" Chapa asked me and I smiled.

"I'm Mexican," I told her and we fist-bumped. "Spanish buddies!"

"You're Mexican?" Ray asked me and I rolled my eyes with a sigh.

"Yes, Ray, I am," I told him. "One of the first things I told you."

"As I've mentioned before, you have to tell me three times for me to remember," he remarked to me.

"How about the eight times I've told you?" I shot back.

"I wasn't listening then," He shrugged and walked up to Chapa and Terra.

"Well, that sounds all very terrible, uh, good luck finding your lollipops, Tammy and Tessa," Ray told the girls, shoving them out the door.

"Our names are Terra and Chapa," Terra snarled at Ray, who had thrown the chains out the door and shut the door in their faces.

"Hey!" The girls yelled as Ray locked the door and stood there as the girls tried to unlock it, but couldn't.

"Problem solved," Ray said and I gave him a look, folding my arms. "Hey, who else wants to get down on some more barbecue, huh?"

"Barbecue!"

We all jumped back when we heard Bella gasp, lifting her head up.

"That wakes her up, of course," Henry said. "Not my offer of having a Once Upon A Time marathon with her."

"Give me five minutes to hose off out back!" Jasper exclaimed, rushing to the back.

"We're not leaving until we talk to Captain Man," Terra called.

"Dude, we can't just leave these girls chained up outside the store," Henry reasoned.

"They'll leave," Ray shrugged.

"Come on!" The girls called.

"It'll track a lot of attention," I shrugged, knowing how much Ray loves attention.

"Please, no one in Swellview's gonna care about these girls and their phones," Ray scoffed.

——

~Later; Man Cave~

"Swellview cares." Trent, on the news, began and I grinned at my husband as a pic of Chapa and Terra appeared on the screen. "About these girls and their phones."

"I told you so," I bragged and he covered my mouthing, pushing me back.

"First time in my life I've ever been wrong about anything," Ray mentioned and this caused an argument to break out from us, pointing out every mistake he has made.

"You are basically a walking mistake," Bella called out in between everyone's call out and I snickered as I sat down next to her and Violet, who was in Bella's arms.

"Ehhhhh," Ray silenced us. "News."

Ray unmuted the news and Trent continued, "All of Swellview is rallying behind Lula Elena Chapa De Silva and Terra Stevens, whose phones were stolen by a boy. It's gone. KLVY's own, Mary Gapperman, has even taken a vow of silence, promising not to speak until Captain Man agrees to help track down the thief."

"That's right, Trent," Mary smiled and I rolled my eyes at the dumb blonde I, unfortunately, share a name with.

"Uh, Mary, you're not supposed to talk," Trent informed her.

"I won't," Mary responded. "Until the phone is found. Vow of silence."

"Then shut up," I muttered, squeezing my piece of bread until it got smashed into pieces.

"Hey, what did that bread ever do to you?" Bella asked me and I let go of the bread, wiping my hands clean.

Charlotte went up to Ray and muted the news, "this story is not going away."

"You should help them," Schwoz suggested and I nodded.

"No, superheroes don't care about missing phones," Ray scoffed.

"Looks like Kid Danger does," Jasper mentioned and we looked toward the screen to find Kid Danger with Chapa and Terra inside the store with Bryan, a reporter.

Charlotte unmuted the news.

"-thank you, Mary, and good luck with that vow," Bryan spoke. "I'm here with Kid Danger, who cares."

"I sure do, Bryan," Henry remarked.

"And where is Captain Man?" Bryan asked.

"Being stubborn," I remarked to myself, but Ray heard me.

"You are so sassy today," Ray mentioned and I shook my head.

"When am I not?"

"I don't know," Kid Danger shrugged.

"I guess he doesn't care," Bryan said and he and Kid Danger pointed at the screen before Ray paused it.

"Give me some burnt toast," Ray began.

"What?" Schwoz asked.

"Yeah, what?" Piper asked.

"Yeah, what?" I asked him.

"Yeah, what?" Bella asked.

"Burnt!" He snapped loudly, making Charlotte lean back and wipe her face of spit. "Toast!"

——

"Kid Danger, you've just committed to helping these girls find their phones no matter what it takes," Bryan told Henry, still interviewing him, Chapa, and Terra.

"That's right," Henry nodded.

"So, tell us, what's your perfect Sunday?" Bryan randomly asked Henry and Bella leaned forward, curious of his answer.

"Wow, uh, great question, Bryan, uh..." Henry trailed off, thinking of an answer. "I love a good brunch with my beautiful girlfriend."

Bella smiled with relief and leaned back, satisfied with his answer.

Suddenly, a voice echoed from outside the store, and in walked Captain Man, confusing the four of them.

"Time out, time out, time in, sorry, I'm late I was stoping a meteor from destroying the Earth," Ray apologized, smiling like nothing happened. "Which you can see by my face."

"You smell like burnt toast," Henry pointed out and I made a face.

"Wonder why," I mumbled, tossing a piece of burnt toast to the side.

"That's what meteors smell like," Ray reasoned.

"That can't be true," Henry argued.

"Well, you weren't there," Ray argued back

"Well, you're an idiot, so," Henry reasoned back.

"Captain Man, will you commit right here, right now, to helping these girls find their phones?" Bryan asked Ray, who took the microphone and approached the camera.

"Bryan, I would commit murder-"

"Woah, hey, hey!" Henry called as he and Bryan pulled him back.

"Then do it," Terra mumbled.

"That's just how committed I am," Ray shrugged and took a bite of his burnt toast.

"Dude, that's burnt toast," Henry informed his boss.

"It's a... piece of meteor," Ray sheepishly replied and Henry had enough of his boss.

"Oh my god, okay, I'm out," Henry waved to the camera, walking out the door.

"Where are you going? Why are you walking away? You afraid of the facts? Huh? Afraid of science? You know what meteors look like," Ray told his sidekick, following him out the door leaving the two girls and Bryan.

"Space fact: Meteors can be sliced," Bryan smiled to the camera.

-The Following Day-

Arabella's POV (Back to normal- I mean weird)

I was in the Man Cave with Charlotte, my mom, Violet, Piper, Schwoz, and Jasper. Jasper was chaining himself to the tube for some unknown reason and Schwoz was messing with a banana and pineapple and some Plutonium gas. I'm still out of it from the overnight at Messy's, like my stomach is dead and I think I've been hearing colors. Pink has said some very unkind things to me and green is just a nasty color to hear.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Charlotte asked Schwoz.

"I chained myself up to the tube pad, like those girls up in Junk'N'Stuff," Jasper answered, thinking she was talking to him. "Gonna stay here until Ray responds to my list of demands."

"I was talking to Schwoz, I don't care what you're doing," Charlotte responded and I bumped her shoulder.

"Charlotte, be nice to Jasper," I told Charlotte and smiled at the boy. "What you doing Jasper?"

"Well, you see, Bella-"

"You know how pineapples are great, but they're too hard to peel?" Schwoz asked, interrupting Jasper and I sighed, shaking my head.

"This is why I don't try to be nice."

"Tell me about it, there's gotta be a better way," Piper gasped with fake excitement, picking up a pineapple and I gave her a look.

"Really?" My mom asked Piper, setting down Violet's baby bottle and rocking her gently.

"Go along with it," Piper mumbled as Charlotte chimed in.

"There is, they sell peelers at every grocery store that-"

"The only possible solution is to crossbreed a pineapple with a banana to make a... Pinana," Schwoz explained to us and I wasn't opposed to that idea.

"I wanna try that," I mentioned and Charlotte gave me a look. "What? It sounds weird and I am the definition of weird."

"Does anyone know where Ray is?" Jasper asked, tugging at the chain, "this chain is starting to get itchy."

(I change the word cuz idk how to spell)

"They're up in Junk'N'Stuff," I informed Jasper.

"They tracking down that package thief that glitter bombed them about a month ago," Charlotte continued for me and I chuckled.

"Still have that picture as my screen saver," I stated.

"Why?" Jasper asked.

"Well, he's friends with a lot of other thieves around town and they think he might know something about Chapa and Terra's stolen cellphones," my mom reasoned with him and seconds later, seductive music began to play. I looked over at Schwoz, who was swaying to the music and watching the pineapple and banana inside the case together. I turned away once he covered the case with a red tarp and I shook my head, rolling my eyes.

"Well, they better hurry up, because I got a list of demands, wanna hear them?" Jasper asked.

"No!" Charlotte denied.

"I do not," Schwoz added.

"I'd rather watch a pineapple and banana try to make love," I mentioned. "Gosh, that sounds so wrong."

"What gives that away, sweetie?" My mom asked me with sarcasm and I furrowed my eyebrows at her.

"Demand number one!" Jasper announced and I sighed, "I demand to be heard!"

Right on cue, Charlotte shut the tube on Jasper and he gasped. "Come on!"

She pushed the button again and he got shot up, which alarmed me cuz of the chain that was attached to him. The tube raised up and moments later the chain came back down with Jaspers pants attached to it, but zero Jasper.

"Aw, my pants!"

All five of us laughed and praised Charlotte for her actions.

——

A bit later, Henry and my dad returned and we were playing cards with Schwoz and Piper, while my mom and Charlotte were setting up a meeting with the phone thief that stole Chapa and Terra's phones. Violet was asleep. Just want to put this out there that if anyone were to steal my phone you would end up with my fist in your face and other places.

Don't touch my phone, thank you.

"Okay, while you guys were playing cards, Char and I set up a meeting to buy the stolen phones," my mom informed us.

"Noice," Henry and I say together before Piper slammed down her cards.

"Euchre, suckers!" Piper called out and I groaned, throwing my cards down in anger.

"I hate this game!" I say and felt Henry wrap his arm around my shoulders as Piper and my dad hi-fived.

"NERDS!" The two of them shouted, before getting up and walking away.

"I never win this game," I pout and Henry kisses my cheek.

"You were playing Go Fish, babe," he told me and I pushed his face away from me.

"Don't judge me, Hart," I mumble, before getting up from my seat. He chuckled as he got up and faced my mom and Char with me next to him.

"So, uh, when's this phone thief gonna be here?" Henry asked the girls.

"He said he won't bring stolen phones inside city limits, so he wants to meet near that desert area between Swellview and Neighborville," Charlotte explained.

"No Man's Land?" I questioned and I got a nod from my mom.

"Oh, smart," Piper said as she checked out Schwoz's attempt at two fruits breeding. "There are no laws out in No Man's Land, so anything goes."

"How do you know about No Man's Land?" My dad asked Piper.

"Oh, I used to sell knock-off Captain Man keychains out there. Made bank!" Piper chuckled and pulled out a knock-off keychain. "Still got some if anyone's interested." She pressed the keychain's button, which activated a voice.

"I'm oh so good!"

I laughed, remembering those keychains. I actually had one until my dad took it away, cuz it's a knock off and he hates those.

Minus my dad, we were interested in buying one, but my dad stepped in with his hand out.

"Give it!" He demanded and we pouted with sorrow as he took it from her. "It's an unlicensed product, it goes in the knock-off bin."

The voice activated again as he tossed it inside the bin of other knock-off items and pulled out a knock-off shirt with his face on it that said 'Get'er done!'

"Get'er done?!" My dad read and I laughed with Piper, who approached my dad.

"Made bank off those too!"

My dad threw the shirt back and Piper continued to laugh with me giggling under my breath.

"Stop laughing, Bella," my dad ordered and I hid behind Henry.

"I'm not laughing."

——

-The Next Day-

I was in the Man Cave with Henry, my mom, Violet, Schwoz, and Jasper. My mom was feeding Violet as Schwoz, Henry, and I were looking over these blueprints they took off a villain they fought last night. Mission was failed successfully I guess, they didn't get the phones back, but they got blueprints for a weapon that can destroy my father. Just saying that these blueprints are more important than some phones, but that's just me.

Jasper was chained up to the sprocket, but I didn't really care.

"Hey, did Schwoz ever combine that pineapple and banana?" Jasper asked from the sprocket and I chuckled, remembering Schwoz's creation.

"Yeah, but you don't want one, dude," Henry remarked.

"It's disturbing," I mentioned, not removing my sight off the blueprints. It's strange, these plans are for a toaster, not a destructive weapon.

I think I need to destroy every toaster.

"Yeah, that fly got into the mixing cage and turned it into a freak of nature," Schwoz explained and I lifted up the creation which was a pineapple mixed with a banana, but it had wings and was very much alive.

"Bring it over, I wanna see," Jasper called.

"Just take those chains off and get one yourself," I told him, putting the thing down and scooting closer to Henry, who put his arm around me.

"No, I am staying right here until Ray meets my demands and there's nothing anyone can do to make me move," Jasper declared before I heard a yelp and saw the sprocket lift up into the ceiling. My dad walked out, not even noticing he could've killed Jasper.

"What did you make of those blueprints, Schwoz?" My dad asked, going up to my mom and taking her shoulders gently. "Can that weapon really destroy me?"

I could see the paleness enter my mom's face at the thought of her husband getting destroy and I felt the exact same way.

Neither of us can lose him. I can't lose my father.

"I don't know what they're talking about," Schwoz shrugged. "These blueprints aren't for an Omega weapon, they're for a toaster."

"Babe, can a toaster destroy you?" My mom asked my dad, who shrugged.

"I don't know, but tomorrow, we should destroy all the toasters in Swellview just to be safe," my dad declared and I nodded with determination.

"I'll go to the store with a gun and shoot every toaster in sight," I mention and my mom touched my arm.

"I'll join you," my mom said and we grinned at each other.

No toaster gonna destroy my dad.

"Those are my girls," my dad sighed happily, kissing my mom's cheek. "But not with Violet."

"Never," the two of us denied.

"There's some kind of weird stain on here," Schwoz mentioned, scratching a small stain on the blueprint.

"I'll help," I offered, leaning in and scratching the weird stain with him.

"So, my demands," Jasper began, but none of us listened. "I demand that you let me finish my sentence-"

"Who's Kim Danvers?" My mom randomly asked and my eyes grew at the memory of the woman my dad dated a couple of years ago.

"An awful woman," my dad scoffed and my mom smiled. "I thought I deleted her contact, but I must've missed it. You're the only woman I love."

My mom blushed as he kissed her cheek, giving her a sweet smile.

"Delete her number," my mom ordered him and he jumped, taking out his phone.

"On it," he said. "I'll never call Kim Danvers again-"

"Calling Kim Danvers, again,"

I snickered as my dad panicked and earned a heavy glare from his wife.

"Hey!" Kim answered and my mom stared at him, waiting to see how he would respond.

"Hi, Kim," he greeted nervously, watching his wife stare at him with a death gaze. "Again."

"Hang up on this b-"

All of us jumped back when a large, blue hologram of a weapon appeared in front of us. My mouth fell open at the sight and Henry and I scooted onto the back of the couch with his arms around me. My mom and dad were holding each other with Violet in between their arms and we stared at the hologram with shock.

"I'm never gonna call you back," my dad told Kim before my mom took his phone and tossed it to the side.

That doesn't look like a toaster to me.

Up Next: Remember The Crimes (bring tissues friends)

Chapters Remaining: 4 or 5

Guys... the ending is about to be here. We have Remember The Crimes and then the final chapters of the series before we are finished.

I'm not crying, you are, shut up.

Remember The Crimes will involve, Henry and Bella, Ray and Bella, and Mary and Bella moments. I'll try to include some Jasper and Charlotte as well, but I'll see as the chapter goes on.

Also, we got to meet Chapa and someone else, Terra. Terra is a real-life version of Toph, but blonde. If I were to make a Danger Force story she would've been the oc, which is why she's here. Is her appearance small, yes, but she is important. I'll publish her character info after this chapter, so you can see what she's about and who she is.

She will appear in the chapter where Henry and Bella return in Danger Force, so that's another place you'll find her.

Also, don't ship her with anyone. If she were to like someone, it wouldn't be Bose :)

Shoutout to spencers-hart she has an incredible Henry Danger fanfic that you should go check out. Her writing is amazing, I'm a little jealous of how good she is ngl haha. So, go read her all her books and follow her too (I recognize some of you there already)
