Broken Armed and Dangerous

Arabella's POV

I was in the Man Cave with Schwoz, Jasper, and Charlotte and we were watching the news about a report about the Playground Pooper, while Henry and my dad were out fighting Mr. Karate. Mary wasn't here, because she has been working extra shifts at her job, because she isn't making as much money as before due to her boss being unreasonable and cut her paycheck in half. Instead of working four days a week in the morning, she's working six days a week from 9 to 5 which is something she can't handle. She's able to handle it at the moment, but I can tell she's struggling and needs to do something about her unreasonable boss. Mary's always there to help us, but she believes she can handle everything on her own and be independent. If I've learned anything from her, is that there's nothing wrong with needing a little help.

Even I struggle with getting the help I need, but I'm getting better.

"That's right, Mary," Trent told Mary, "the National Society of Names just released this year's list of the most popular baby names; Kaycee and Abigail top the charts."

If I ever have a child, I won't name it Kaycee or Abigail. I'll probably name it Ruby, if it's a girl, or Ryder, if it's a boy.

"And for the third year in a row, the least popular baby name is Hornface," Mary informed and I raised my eyebrow, "Hornface."

"Makes sense," Trent stated.

"An our number two story tonight, the Playground Pooper has struck again," Mary continued and the four of us chuckled.

"The Playground police suddenly have more duties than usually, because someone or something has been using the Swellview Playgrounds every night as a toilet, " Trent explained and the four of us laughed. "The police have piles of evidence, but have yet to catch the prankster despite being flushed with clues."

"Has the news always been this funny?" Jasper asked us and I grinned in amusement.

The alarmed blared and I saw my dad and Henry land in the the Man Cave. I turned and saw Henry holding his arm in pain and my smile faded at the sight.

"We've got a bad situation here, people!" My dad announced and I set down my tennis ball filled with pudding.

"What happened?" I asked going up to Henry and my dad.

"We know," Charlotte sighed getting up. "The Playground Pooper has strung again."

Schwoz, Jasper, my dad, and I laughed out loud and Henry didn't crack a smile.

"No way, really?!" My dad laughed.

"No, actually, it's a little bit of a different bad situation-"

"Shhhhh!" My dad shushed Henry, hitting his arm and Henry cringed in pain. "I wanna see this!"

"Ow!" Henry cried and I gently touched his arm in worry.

My dad unmuted the tv and Trent was on the screen, "the police have no idea who is doing the dumping, an angry teen, a large baby, Mary, no one knows."

"It's a real Poo Done It!" Mary added and the five of us chuckled.

"It's probably Jasper," my dad mentioned and I giggled.

"Probably," I agree.

"What?!" Jasper gasped.

"I was just going to say that," Schwoz said.

"It's not me!" Jasper protested.

"I don't know, Jasper," Charlotte shrugged. "It just smells like something you would do."

Charlotte, my dad, Schwoz, and I laughed as Jasper got up and argued over us.

"Alright! Jokes over!" Jasper called and we stopped laughing.

"I'm not joking, I seriously think it's you," my dad seriously said and Jasper turned to him with a look of disbelief.

"Okay, guys, can we focus on what happened to me, please?" Henry pleaded and I looked up at him in worry, still holding his arm.

"Ahhh, they're talking about you!" My dad announced, hitting Henry's arm and I whacked his hand away.

"Ow!" Henry cried and we looked at the screen to see a picture of Kid Danger on the screen.

"In non-funny news, witnesses say Kid Danger while teaming up with Captain Man to fight super criminal Dr. Karate, broke his arm this evening," Mary announced and Jasper gasped as my mouth fell open  in shock.

"Oh my," I say in shock, "my poor baby."

"You broke your arm?!" Jasper gasped.

"That's what is been trying to tell you guys!" Henry protested and Schwoz went up to him. "Dr. Karate, karate chopped my arm."

"Well, that make sense," I shrugged.

"I bet you still wish you had your superpower," Jasper mentioned and I glared at him.

"Yeah!"

"Because if you still had your super fast reflexes, you could've just-" Jasper scoffed. "Moved out of the way."

"Jasper, please!" I begged as Schwoz checked Henry's arm.

"Alright, I got it!" Henry exclaimed.

"Guys, this is really bad," Charlotte stated.

"It's just a broken arm, you cut it off it will grow right back," Schwoz remarked and my eyes grew.

"What?! No!" Henry and I gasped.

"That's not how arms work," Charlotte told Schwoz.

"Oh, right, that's a starfish," Schwoz nodded and I took Henry's arm from him holding it gently.

"Listen, what's bad is that if everyone in Swellview knows that Kid Danger broke his arm tonight, then Henry Hart suddenly shows up to school tomorrow morning with a broken arm. Then any idiot can put two and two together and figure out that Henry is Kid Danger," Charlotte explained.

"Oh, I don't know," Schwoz shrugged. "I don't think anyone's gonna put any-"

Mary suddenly gasped on the tv, "I just put two and two together."

"Oh really?" Trent chuckled.

"People should look out for someone who's about Kid Danger's height, about Kid Danger's age, who has a newly broken arm, because that boy would be..." Mary trailed off, thinking really hard with her single brain cell that's barely hanging on.

"Keep going, Mary," Trent encouraged.

"The Playground Pooper?"

"Oh! So close!" Trent sighed, "no, Mary, that boy would be Kid Danger."

All of us groaned loudly.

"See!" Charlotte exclaimed.

"Okay! We have a really big problem on our hands," Schwoz declared.

"I agree, how are we gonna get Jasper to stop pooping in playgrounds," my dad nodded and I flicked his head.

"It's not me!"

——

Later, Schwoz was scanning Henry's arm to see what part of his arm is broken and Jasper, Charlotte, and I were searching the Man Cave for a large sweater and fake arms. I made sure we didn't search my room, because a have a bunch of Henry's sweaters and shirts in there and I don't anyone else to have them. They're mine and only mine.

"Hey!" Jasper called as we walked out of the sprocket, "we found the case of fake arms!"

"Where was it?" Schwoz asked us.

"Right by that big jar of real legs!" I told Schwoz with a smile and Jasper took the case from my hands.

"Why do you have a jar of real legs?" Schwoz asked Schwoz and I went up to Mary, who had returned from work not to long ago. I can tell she's tired and exhausted from working a lot.

"A guy owed me twenty bucks and he payed me in legs," Schwoz simply explained.

"And this is the biggest sweater I could find," Charlotte told them, holding up a large sweater. "It was just in a drawer, not near any body parts. Thank god."

She tossed the sweater to Schwoz and I tapped Mary's shoulder.

"You okay?" I asked her and she nodded.

"Just tired," she mumbled and I rubbed her shoulder.

"Okay, we give Henry one of these fake arms and then we hid his cast with a sweater from when Ray really loved horses," Schwoz explained, showing off the horse design on the large sweater.

"Oh, yeah! I used to race them!" Ray smiled, "they always beat me though."

"I wonder why," I muttered and Mary grinned.

Schwoz opens the case to reveal a bunch of arms with different colors and sizes, "okay, I got a bunch of different arm options for you, but we have to find just the right one. So...fake arm fashion show!"

We all cheered, minus Henry, as Schwoz waved a few fake arms around.

——

Mary, my dad, Jasper, Charlotte, Schwoz, and I sat on the couch and waited anxiously for Henry to walk out with a fake arm to see if it would work.

Henry walked out from behind the curtain and his fake arm looked pretty real and the sweater did a nice job covering the cast up. Not to mention, that sweater probably gives great cuddles and hugs.

All of us liked it and Henry nodded with a smile.

"Seems good," Henry said and I sighed.

"Man, I really thought that would take longer," I said with disappointment.

"Me too, but sometimes the first arm just feels right," my dad mentioned and we all agreed with him. "So, once again, this probably is solved."

"Once again, this problem is not solved," Henry protested. "Dude, this sweater and fake arm may work for like a day, but it's not gonna fool people for long. I mean look at this thing." Henry flung the arm around and it flopped making me giggle.

"Floppy arm," I said and Mary chuckled with me.

"Try tucking it into your pocket," Jasper advised.

"Or hook your thumb through you belt loop," Ray suggested and put his thumbs through his belt loops. "That's what I do whenever I wanna look cool and tough. Right, Mary?"

Mary just stared at him, "no."

"Okay."

"Try this Henry," Jasper said and him and my dad posed together, making weird noises and I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, I'm not doing that," Henry denied.

"Thank you," I sighed quietly.

"Your loss," my dad shrugged.

"Or..." Charlotte began and stood up. "Tomorrow morning at school, we stage a fake accident where can pretend Henry breaks his fake arm in front of everyone."

"Yes, and then I'll have an excuse for my broken arm and people won't think I'm Kid Danger," Henry added.

"Exactly!" Charlotte nodded.

"Okay!"

"And we do something simple," I remarked, standing up. "Like, Jasper accidentally closes your fake arm into his locker. Done!"

"Problem actually solved," Henry said and we fist bumped.

"Perfect!"

"Woo!"

"I like it!"

"Yawn!"

We turned to my dad, who was drinking his soda and I raised an eyebrow.

"Uh, what?" Henry asked him.

"Oh, I said 'yawn,'" my dad repeated, putting his soda down. "Cause that plan puts me to sleep."

"Oh, I'm sorry, dad?" I apologized with confusion.

"I mean, it's boring," my dad shrugged. "It will work, probably great, but where's the funny?"

Mary rolled her eyes and stood up, "she's not trying to be funny."

"Mission accomplished," my dad remarked and I folded my arms.

"I've got a better, funnier idea," my dad smirked and turned to Schwoz.

"Let's hear it!" Jasper called bumping Henry's arm.

"Still got that trebuchet?" My dad asked Schwoz, who laughed and I shook my head as Schwoz walked away, "we're doing the trebuchet."

"No, don't," I protested. "Remember what happened to me when I was nine?"

"What's a trebuchet? Where's he going? And Jasper, will you please stop hitting my fake arm!" Henry pleaded Jasper, who was hitting Henry's fake arm.

"We'll handle it, you don't have to worry about anything," my dad assured us and I raised my eyebrow.

"That makes me worry about everything," Henry mentioned.

"Me to," Charlotte nodded. "Like, what happened to Bella when she was nine?"

"I-"

"I flung her across town with it and she landed in the Swellview Pool," my dad laughed and I glared at him. "It was absolutely hilarious!"

Him and Schwoz laughed and Charlotte gave me a look of disbelief.

"Oh my gosh," she said and I sighed.

"You did not!" Henry chuckled and I hit his stomach.

"It wasn't funny!"

"Yes, it was!" My dad laughed and I even saw Mary smirking.

"Imagine if I didn't land in the pool," I told him.

"But you did," my dad argued and I snarled at him. "And afterwards, you were laughing."

"I was crying!" I exclaimed and Jasper held me back, "don't touch me."

Jasper let me go and I huffed.

"Sorry, honey," Henry muttered and I flicked his head. "But that sounds pretty funny."

I sighed and sat down on the couch with a pout.

"Listen, all you gotta do, is meet me, Schwoz, and Mary at school tomorrow and we'll trebuch-show you an accident that's way funnier then my daughter's," my dad chuckled and I rolled my eyes.

"If you put me in that thing again, I swear-"

"I won't, Cookie," my dad cut me off and I exhaled. "Maybe."

"What!" I exclaimed, getting up and Mary held me back.

"Whatever, I'm tired, I'm going home," Henry declared, before kissing my lips and headed to the elevator door.

"Me too," Mary sighed. "I'm exhausted."

"I'm out like Jasper's belly button," Charlotte agreed and followed them both.

Jasper scoffed, "way out!"

He followed them and I leaned on the couch.

"Can I go with Mary and practice my singing with her?" I asked my dad, who nodded.

"Sure," he said and I smiled, going up to Mary.

"Practice singing?" She asked me and I took her hand.

"We gotta talk about this money thing," I muttered to her and she sighed.

"That's an adult thing," she replied.

"No, it's a 'I don't want to worry anyone about my issues' thing," I remarked and she didn't respond back to me.

"Henry! Don't let your parents see your cast when you get home!" Schwoz advised Henry.

"I won't!" Henry told him and whacked his fake arm on the elevator button.

"Because then they will know that you're Kid Danger," Schwoz continued as we walked into the elevator.

"Yeah, I realize that," Henry said.

"Yeah, and we have to wipe their memories again," Schwoz added and this caught all of our attention.

Again?

"I said I realize- wait, again?!" Henry questioned him.

"I don't know," Schwoz grinned and Jasper joined us in the elevator.

"Hey, Jasper! Catch!"

My dad tossed Jasper some toilet paper and Jasper was confused.

"What's this for?"

"In case you pass a playground on your way home," my dad joked and lifted his leg with a laugh.

"I am not the Playground Pooper!" Jasper protested.

"Yeah, okay, dude!" My dad chuckled.

"But I am keeping this, because I think we're out at home!" Jasper called back and I giggled, before the doors closed.

——

Mary and I arrived at her house and she was definitely in a mood, which was unusual.

"Mary, we gotta talk about this," I began and she purposely ignored me as she walked into the kitchen. "Mary!"

She groaned and turned to me, "what?!"

"Don't snap at me!" I exclaimed, "I'm trying to help you!"

"Maybe I don't need your help!" She snapped and I leaned back with my face softening, "this doesn't concern you anyway."

"Doesn't concern me?" I asked and chuckled, "you're dating my father, so really this should concern my father and by that logic should concern me."

Mary didn't look at me and got out a water bottle from the fridge, "this is an adult thing, and I can handle it on my own."

"For how long?" I asked her, "like, how long has this been going on?"

She shrugged looking down at her shoes, "a month...maybe two."

"What?" I asked her and got closer to her, "and you just decided to tell me last week?"

"Look who's talking, you decided to tell me about your stomach issues a month after it started," she argued with me.

"Okay, don't bring my personal problems into this," I shoot back and her eyebrows furrowed. "This is about you and your life."

"So was yours!"

"Mary Ann Carman!" I exclaimed and she stared at me with her brown eyes, "you do a wonderful job helping others out with their issues, but there comes a time when you need help with yours."

Mary looked away with annoyance and didn't respond to me.

"And I'm not going to leave until you agree to let me and my dad help you," I added. "And I know for a fact, that my dad will drop everything to make sure you are okay."

Mary looked back at me and rolled her eyes, "okay, fine."

I smiled with success, "thank you, you just saved me from a long and exhausting speech there."

Mary chuckled and walked by me into her living room, "wanna know why I didn't want help?"

"Yeah?"

"Because my mother told me to be independent and that needing help from others was weak and stupid," she explained to me as she sat down on the couch and I joined her. "Of course, I thought that was stupid and believed that everyone needs help in their life, which is why I'm a guidance counselor/tutor/vocal coach and love helping people with their personal problems. But now, I'm in a situation where I need help and I never got that help when I was a kid."

"You're mother didn't help you?" I asked her.

"When I turned eight, she made me do everything on my own and focused on my little sister who had just been born," she explained. "This would explain why my mother and I never really got along and we fought a lot. Our relationship was very unhealthy and my father died when I was ten, so I didn't have a father to run to and I took the blame for everything my siblings did and dealt with the consequences my mother gave me. Felt like she hated me."

I never really took the time to realize how hard it was for Mary when she was growing up. Her father dying when she was ten, her mother being incredibly hard on her, and then having to protect her younger siblings from any harsh punishment that she always dealt with. Mary's always the first to come to me when I have issues, but she never talks about her issues and it's heartbreaking to me. I mean, she's basically my mother at this point.

"I'm so sorry, Mary," I apologized to and she shrugged.

"But now, I'm here and no longer have to deal with my mother," she chuckled and I gave her a sympathetic smile. "I just never got the help I needed as a child, so it's hard to understand what it's like."

"I get it," I nodded. "But now, you have all the help you can get. You're dating Captain Man for goodness sake!"

She laughed at this, "yeah, sometimes I think he helps me a little too much."

I chuckled, "he's willing to do anything to make sure you're okay."

"I know," She smiles. "I'm a lucky girl."

"And he's a lucky guy," I remark. "So, I want you to go and tell him the issues, and maybe he can do something about it."

"Is he gonna go all Captain Man about this and force my boss to change her payments?" She asked and I shrugged.

"Honestly, I can't say, but he'll help you out," I told her and Mary nodded.

I stared at Mary and she was thinking about something else.

"Is there something else?" I asked her and she looked at me with uncertainty.

"Kind of," she stuttered nervously.

"Like what? Is it about your job?" I asked her and she couldn't disagree.

"I mean... in a way," she laughed nervously and I gave her a look

"What is it?"

She didn't respond and just quickly led me upstairs and into her bathroom. She pulled out something from the cabinet and it was an object; I gasped at the sight and smiled brightly.

"Oh my god, Mary!"

"I know," she chuckled and I could see the fear and happiness inside her brown eyes. "But, how's Ray gonna react?"

——

The following day I got to school earlier then I wanted to, because my father, Schwoz, and Mary were here posing as the Swellview Flinging Society. They were wearing ridiculous costumes, considering my dad looks like Lord Farquaad from Shrek, while Mary was dressed as Fiona and Schwoz was dressed similar to my dad. A normal person would cringe upon this whole thing, and then there's me who encouraged the costumes and took a bunch of pictures to cherish the moment.

On a totally unrelated note, I'm beyond excited for Mary and what she told me last night. It's scary and exciting all at the same time, and I can't wait to see my dad's reaction when she tells him the news.

I saw Henry and Charlotte walk in and they were already annoyed by the set up by my dad, Mary, and Schwoz. Moments later, they launched the trebuchet and a watermelon flew across the school and hit the wall near the stairs. The crowed cheered and applauded the three, who smiled and hi-fived one another.

I went up to them as my dad pulled Henry aside and I chuckled at Mary.

"What's up, Fiona?" I joked and she flicked my forehead. "Eh!"

"I don't need the sass," she remarked and Charlotte grinned. "Doing this, because I needed a reason to wear this again."

I gave her a look and she shook her head, "don't ask."

"Wasn't going to," I told her and I listened to my dad and Henry's conversation.

"Here's the plan, you go stand by the stairs, we fling a basketball at ya, it hits ya in your fake arm, and you pretend like it's broken," my dad laughed and Henry gave him a look. "It will be a lot funnier then Bella's idea."

"What if the basketball doesn't hit-"

"And break!" My dad pushed Henry away and I rolled my eyes as I followed him and Charlotte over to the lockers.

"We are members of the Swellview Flinging Society!" My dad announced in a horrible accent.

"We show and fling many things with the trebuchet!" Schwoz announced, gesturing to the large trebuchet behind them with my dad and Mary.

"That's your dad and your soon to be mom," Henry snickered to me.

"I know," I replied. "And I'm proud to say I'm their daughter."

Henry chuckled and Charlotte grinned in amusement. I looked at Henry's sweater and made a face, which caused him to make a face.

"What?"

"I wanna hug you, but I don't wanna hurt your arm," I whispered to him and he smiled.

"Come here," he gestured and I gently hugged him with his good arm wrapping around my back. I snuggled into his chest and smiled happily at the contact. "Happy?"

"Very."

"Aw," Charlotte smiled and snapped a pic of us before we pulled away and I held Henry's good arm with our hands intertwining. "As your best friend, it's my job to take all the cute and over the top pictures of the two of you."

"Thank you," I smiled at her, resting my chin on Henry's shoulder.

Suddenly, Jasper ran up to us with big news.

"Hey, you guys! Check it out!" He exclaimed with excitement.

"Hey, pooper!"

"What's the pooping?"

"What's the poops?"

Jasper got out his tablet, "I know who the playground pooper is!"

"So do we," Charlotte and I say.

"It's you," Henry told him.

"No, it's not," Jasper denied. "I go on toilets, I've been potty trained for four years."

I made a face, "wait..."

So, he has been potty trained since he was thirteen? Ya know, with Jasper, I cannot say I'm surprised.

"Just look at this!" Jasper showed us a video on Splashface of the Playground Pooper, "this is the Playground Pooper walking through some carnations and I'm allergic to carnations, so it can't be me!"

"Those look like roses," Charlotte pointed out.

"What?!" Jasper asked and Henry looked at the video.

"Yeah, those are North American Sugar Roses, bro." Henry informed Jasper, "I know my flowers."

"He does, he went to flower camp," Charlotte agreed

"Yeah, dude, it was sick!" Henry grinned.

"That explains why he knows what my favorite flower is," I mention with a smile.

"The Royal Lily," he told me, sweetly and I nodded.

"Aw," I giggle and he gives me a sweet Eskimo kiss.

Jasper groaned with irritation, before walking away and I grinned at him.

"The flinging is about to commence!" I heard Mary announce in her surprising and amazing accent.

"Everyone should stand where they're supposed to stand," my dad added, but specifically looked at Henry.

"Gotta go," Henry told Charlotte and I, before he walked over to the stairs and Charlotte and I moved away.

"For everyone must be careful for when the basketball is shot, it'll travel so fast it may break someone's arm," Schwoz explained and the crowd cheered.

Ms. Shapen walked out, "hold it right there, fancy pants!"

Leronge looked down at his fancy pants and made a face.

"Not you, Leronge!" Me. Shapen exclaimed and he walked away.

"What the heck is going on here?" Ms. Shapen asked my dad, Schwoz, and Mary.

"We be the Swellview Flinging Society!" Mary informed her as they posed.

"We are flingers! We fling!" Schwoz beamed.

"Well, go do your flinging somewhere else," Ms. Shapen objected. "These kids should be in classrooms pretending to listening to their teachers."

"Look, you want to fling a basketball at a wall?" My dad asked her in his normal voice.

"Course I do! Get out of my way!" Ms. Shapen shoved passed my dad and over to the trebuchet.

"Along me to explain it!" Schwoz offered.

"Relax, Leonardo, I've used a trebuchet in a school before," Ms. Shapen chuckled before grabbing the rope.

"Um, just let me-"

"FIRE IN THE HOLE!" Ms. Shapen yelled out, before launching the basketball. It's aim was off and it whacked me right in the face, causing me to yell and fall to the floor.

"Bella," Charlotte called and came up to me as the crowed gasped. I was very dazed and a little lightheaded, but I wasn't injured, thankfully.

"Princess, you okay?" Henry asked me with worry and I couldn't exactly see right, so I grabbed his arm, but it was the fake one. "No, no, no!"

I yanked out his fake arm and the crowd gasped in shock. Charlotte helped me stand up and I looked to see Henry no longer had his fake arm.

Oh no.

"Uhhhhh-Ahhhhhh!" Henry yelled out, "Airy, just pulled off my real arm! Next time you see me, I'll probably have a cast."

Melvin picked up the fake arm, "this arm is fake! It's a fake arm!"

The crowd gasped in confusion and I rubbed my head that will probably have a bruise when I wake up tomorrow.

Piper went up to Henry, "why were you wearing a fake arm?"

"I wasn't- I was just-"

Piper grabbed Henry's sweater and began to take it off, ignoring Henry's protest and ripped it off to reveal Henry's blue cast.

The crowd gasped at the sight.

"You've got a broken arm!" Piper gasped.

"Oh my god! Henry Hart is Kid Danger!" Melvin exclaimed and everyone in the school began to mutter and gasp in shock.

I stared at my father with narrowed eyes, "so much better than my plan."

——

Everyone was freaking out that Henry was Kid Danger and Piper was panicking about it. She may have just come to the realization that her biggest crush is her brother and it's traumatizing her.

"Why were you hiding your broken arm? We have a right to know!" Melvin argued with Henry, who was getting a little irked about it as the crowd got loud and protested.

"Okay, listen everybody!" Henry called out, removing his sling. "I'm not Kid Danger, okay? Stop poking me, Melvin!"

Henry snatched the arm from Melvin and slapped him with it twice, causing the crowd to gasp again.

"Okay, I have the arm! I get to speak now!" Henry announced.

"Shhhh! Shhh!" A random boy shushed.

"Thank you!" Henry told him, "now, as I was saying, I'm not Kid Danger."

"Prove it!"

"I will prove it, Melvin!" Henry shot back, "as soon as I... think of something."

Jasper ran over to Henry and whispered something in his ear, before rushing over to the janitors closet.

"I will be back with answers!" Henry announcer, "till then... Melvin has the arm."

Melvin caught the arm as Henry walked into the janitor closet and Melvin posed with it.

Charlotte and I shared a look, before following Henry into the closet.

"-we know you're not the Playground Pooper," I heard Henry tell Jasper as we walked in and shut the door.

"I know I'm not, but what if you are," Jasper remarked.

"I'm not," Henry objected.

"What if you are?"

"But I'm not."

"What if you are?"

"But I'm not."

"What if you are?"

"What are you talking about?!" Charlotte exclaimed.

"Just watch the footage!" Jasper told us and we watched the video.

"Dude, we've all seen the footage," I told Jasper, before the door opened and my dad and Mary walked in.

"You've got a big problem on your hands," my dad told Henry.

"Huge one," Mary nodded.

"I know that, thank you," Henry sarcastically replied.

"Guys! Listen!" Jasper called, "what if Henry was the Playground Pooper?"

"That's impossible, it's you!" Mary argued.

"No, it's not!" Jasper protested.

Schwoz suddenly popped out of the trash can, which scared all of us and made me grab Henry and Mary grab my dad.

"How did you get in there?" Charlotte asked as I let go of Henry and I exhaled.

"You're lucky you weren't next to me," Mary mentioned with relief and my dad let her go.

"Wasn't easy," Schwoz grinned. "I have an idea that will solve all of of Henry's problems."

"So do I," Jasper chimed in.

"Clog it, Pooper!" My dad ordered him, "whatcha got, Schwoz?"

"We set off a memory wave, and everyone within a three block radius has no memory of any of it," Schwoz explained. "Or anything else in their lives."

"Well, maybe," I shrugged.

"I mean..." Mary nodded.

"Maybe," Henry said.

"It's simple," Charlotte thought.

"But, what's funny about it?" My dad asked, "like, when am I going 'haha?'"

"Guys! I have a solution!" Jasper beamed, "and it's really funny!"

——

"Okay, there's a lot of speculation that Henry is Kid Danger!" Jasper announced to the crowd of suspicious students.

"He is!" Melvin objected.

"He's not, but he does have something he wants to announce!" Jasper responded and I grinned.

Jasper's plan was no doubt funny, but as Henry's girlfriend I had to contain my laughter for his sake.

"I don't know if I can-"

"Henry Hart, everyone!" Jasper announced, pushing Henry forward.

The six of us applauded Henry as he stepped forward awkwardly.

"Thank you, I, uh-" a student pushed a podium in front of Henry and smiled at him. "Oh, right, my sister's podium, glad that's here," Leronge put a microphone on the podium. "And a microphone, thank you, Leronge!"

A sign language interpreter slid next to him and used sign language with everything Henry said. How ironic is it that the sign language club is meeting today?

"And a sign language interpreter," Henry continued. "Great! Okay, uh, I know there's a lot of speculation that due to my broken arm, I am Kid Danger."

Piper yelled in agony.

"But the fact of the matter is, I'm not Kid Danger, because..." Henry trailed off, not wanting to admit the next sentence and I went up to him for support. "I am...well...I am the Playground Pooper."

I bit my lip and snickered which made Henry flick my cheek.

The crowd gasped in shock and I walked away, doing the sign for 'poop.' My dad and Schwoz smiled and did it as well, which made me giggle.

"So, you're Kid Danger and the Playground Pooper?" Melvin asked Henry.

"What? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No," Henry denied. "I'm just the Playground Pooper."

"Okay, this is funny," my dad whispered and I nodded with a smile.

"I shouldn't be laughing, but I am," I snickered and Mary giggled under her hand.

The crowed gasped, before chanting 'prove it' over and over again. My dad joined in, but Mary stopped him and he backed away.

Jasper got out the video footage and showed it to the crowd.

"As you can see in the security camera footage of me doing what I love," Henry began and I bit my lip, shaking my head. "It's time stamped, which means that at the exact same time Kid Danger, whoever he is, was getting his arm broken by Dr. Karate. I was on the playground."

"Pooping?" Melvin asked.

"Yes, Melvin, thank you, I was pooping," Henry bitterly finished and I grinned again.

The crowd gasped in disgust and I turned to see my dad, Schwoz, and Mary doing the sign for pooping again, which made me chuckle.

"So, obviously, I'm not Kid Danger," Henry concluded. "Okay, please respect my privacy as I seek help during this difficult time, thank you."

I went up to Henry, but Melvin stopped him.

"Wait!" Melvin called, "how'd you break your arm then?"

The crowd went 'ooooo' and Henry shared a look with me before speaking.

"Yes, how did I break my arm?" Henry asked, "uhhhhh, after I did my thing! I slipped!"

I snickered and Henry flicked my cheek again.

"On poop?" Melvin asked.

"Yes, Melvin, on poop," Henry nodded.

The crowd began to laugh at Henry and I rubbed his back.

"Henry is the Playground Pooper and he slipped on his own poop and broke his arm!" Melvin laughed.

"No one likes you, Melvin! No one likes you!" Henry protested and Jasper pushed him back to take the microphone. I leaned up and kissed Henry's cheek, which made him smile a little.

"Shhh," I shushed him and he hugged me. "It's okay, baby."

"No further questions," Jasper told the crowd and turned away.

Up Next: An Original Chapter🥺💔

Can y'all guess what Mary showed Bella and what it means?😌💕

Knight and Danger will be skipped and I will be doing an original chapter next. The original chapter will be heartbreaking, and I'm sorry this was bound to happen at some point.

It won't last for long, don't worry.
