Recap: Following Kairav and Manish's arrest, Abhimanyu and Akshara have a verbal spat at Birla house. Akshara reveals that Mahima's words instigated Kairav to run away when he was already suicidal. Swarna reveals that Kunal had asked for Akshara's voice in return of his surgery. Abhimanyu feels abandoned and Akshara gets hurt by his harsh words. She also thinks that he is deliberately hiding the proof of her brother's innocence.

Both are hurt and are now focusing on their cousin/sibling. Akshara vows to get Kairav to justice.

What followed the confrontation was a very long night. Abhimanyu left immediately to meet Manish in the police station and Akshara called the PI she had been working with over the year. Other Birlas retired to their rooms. They had just witnessed the cracks of Abhira's relationship but were somewhere glad to see Anisha getting justice.

Anand was drinking again in memory of his daughter. Harshvardhan left for his home and Manjiri went to the temple to pray for the well-being of her son. Neil and Nishtha were sitting and talking about the situation of their home. Shefali was with her son Shivansh. Parth decided to go and talk to his mother again.

Mahima was in her room talking on the phone.

Mahima: Last time toh Kairav Goenka bhaag gaya tha, iss baar same galti repeat nahi honi chahiye. He better get what he deserves.

Police: Ma'am, aap chinta mt kijiye. Abhi uski acche se khatirdari chal rahi hai.

Mahima: Meri beti ko jaan se mara hai usne, usse uska badla apni jaan se hi dena hoga. Uski life barba-

Parth: Mom!!

Mahima eyed Parth as he stood at her door in disbelief. She ended the call and Parth barged in.

Parth: Ye kya baaten kr rahi thi aap? Mtlb Akshara sach bol rahi thi! Kya aap pehle bhi police ko Kairav ka encounter krne ke liye bribe kr rahi thi??? Bolo na Mom! Apne kiya aisa? Vo bhi Abhimanyu ki surgery wale din!!!

Mahima: Shut up Parth!! Jo mai kr rahi hoon vo tumhe krna chahiye pr tumhe toh apni behen ki maut se koi mtlb hi nahi hai..

Parth rolled his eyes in frustration and it fell on the pendrive on the desk.

Parth: Ye wahi pendrive hai na!? You told me you destroyed it. Achha hua ye thik hai. Maa Anisha ki maut ka dukh hai mujhe pr ek innocent admi ki life aur Abhimanyu ki shadi barbaad ho jayegi. Aap sach mt chupao..

Parth's words had no affect on Mahima. Instead, she shut him up and made him leave. Meanwhile, at the police station, Abhimanyu's request to get Manish released was denied. Dejected, he asked to at least meet Manish for a few minutes.

Manish met Abhimanyu will hostility. It ripped Abhimanyu's heart. He was losing everyone precious to him along with his sanity. He was hurting this whole year but somehow knowing the 'truth' hurt him more.

Akshara could bite off her nails due to the tension that was building inside her. Her heart was bleeding. She had convinced herself over the year that once Abhimanyu hears her out, they'd be fine again but that did not seem like the case. Yet, she had no time to dwell on the matters of the heart when her brother's entire life was at stake. Not to mention Manish was in jail too.

Akhilesh: Bhabhi, aap maa ke pass rukiye. Unki tabyat thik nahi lg rahi hai. yahan hum log sb dekh lenge..

Arohi: haan badimaa, you need rest too.

Swarna was sobbing but they convinced her to go. She needed to rest and someone needed to stay besides Suhasini.

Arohi: Itni raat ko kon available hoga? Tujhe evidence sambhal kr rakhna chahiye tha Akshara!

Akshara was already heartbroken, tensed and frustrated. She chose to ignore Arohi. Her phone rang and she spoke for a minute or so.

Vansh: Kya hua?

Akshara: It was the PI, Shubham. He gave me the evidence in the first place and I called him in case he has copies.

Vansh: and?

Akshara: It was his final copy. No backup!

Vansh: ab?

Arohi: Tune bhai ki medical condition ke baare me kaha tha na? We can try for bail..

Akhilesh: I spoke to a lawyer. Do in court band hai. 3 din se pehle hume bail mil pana bohot mushkil hai...

Akshara: (holds her head) bhai was recovering. I don't know vo ye sb jhel payenge ya nahi...

Vansh: Akshu himmat rakh. Kuch sochte hai hum.

Just then, Akhilesh's phone rang. He attended the call and the Goenka children could see him visibly pale.

Akshara: AG! AG kiska call tha??

Vansh: AG?

Akhilesh: Police station se tha.. Kairav...

Akshara: no!

Goenkas ran inside the corridor of city hospital. They did not stop by the reception as they spotted police men in a corner. Kairav must be in that ward.

Akshara: kya hua hai bhai ko???

Nurse: doctor is checking your brother, please wait.

Akshara: bhai!?

Vansh hugged her close as she sank to the floor. Arohi sat down on the seat. Colour had left her face and all she could feel was shame for her actions.

Akhilesh: bhaisahab?

Police: vo abhi bhi police custody me hai. We cannot let him leave. Protocol hota hai?

Akshara: Ye bhi protocol hai ki kissi ko bina galti itni saza do? Bina saboot unpr ye ilzaam lagane ka haq diya kisne hai aapko!?!?!

Police: (to Vansh) we understand she is saying all this out of pain isliye hum jaane de rahe hai. Do police wale yahan guard karenge. Bhagane ka sochna bhi mt. (to fellow policemen) chalo!

Akshara clutched her heart and thought about her parents. Her brother tried to fill in for them in her life. She had to be there for him. She always told herself to not fall weak but how could she not? Now when he was in the hospital?

The doctor ran outside after a while and shared that Kairav's condition was dicey. He enquired about his medical history. Akhilesh mentioned how he had a major heart surgery when he was a child and Akshara shared about his recent trauma and recovery. The doctor requested them to share the reports with him as soon as possible and Akhilesh left to collect them. Vansh left to meet Manish as he knew he must be tensed about Kairav. The doctor informed them that Kairav was really critical and needed acute care. He was asleep due to medicine and she could see him from afar.

Akshara and Arohi went inside. They gripped each other's hands tightly as they saw Kairav's battered body on the bed. His injuries spoke of his treatment at the police station. Arohi left quickly as she couldn't see all this knowing she had a hand in bringing it upon Kairav. Akshara sat next to him quietly.

Akshara: bhai? Ye kya ho gaya bhai?? Sorry. Mujhe vo saboot sambhal kr rakhne chahiye they. Hosh me ate hi sbse pehle unhe sambhalna chahiye tha. Aap please har mt mano, apko thik hona hoga bhai...

She sobbed. Arohi entered the room fully agitated.

Arohi: maine bahar police walo ki baat suni. Unhe lgta hai bhai natak kr rahe hai. They might not spare him the rest and treatment he needs.

Akshara: (raises her head in fury) Ye sb Birlas ke khareede hue hai.

Arohi: ab? (in mind) I only wanted to be in Mahima Ma'am's good books so that she promotes me and keeps helping me with my license issue. Pr mujhe bhai ki ye halat nahi chahiye thi!

Akshara: ab mai kissi ko nahi chodungi. Mera phone de.

She called her PI.

Akshara: I know it's late but I have one last task for you. Please get me proof of Mahima Birla bribing police and her illegal activities.

Arohi was stunned by the emotionless voice Akshara had but this time she chose to keep quiet. Mahima needed to pay.

Akshara: (kisses Kairav's forehead) I know mai jo krne jaa rahi hoon uske liye apne mana kiya tha bhai pr ab aur nahi. Mai apko aur suffer nahi krne dungi. Vo bhi ek aisi ladki ke liye jisne apse kabhi saccha pyaar kiya hi nahi.

She left the room and saw Akhilesh rush in with his reports. Akshara requested the doctor to take good care of her brother. The doctor assured him that he'd give best treatment to Kairav regardless of what police said. He'd even prepare a detailed report if that'd help Kairav's situation and let him stay at the hospital. Akshara thanked him and left.

Abhimanyu did not sleep a wink that night and so did Akshara as she toiled the entire night to get everything in order. The rest of the Birlas slept sound, unaware of what they had done to an innocent man and that his sister was coming at them for revenge.
