Abhi was waiting in his room for her, holding Emma in his arms.

Abhi (looking towards the door in anticipation) - Where did this Fuggy go...??? Don't know what she bought for me this time...!!!

He placed Emma on the bed carefully and bend in front of his bed. He dragged the box out and grabbed the key from the cupboard. He smiled as soon as he unlocked it. There were many toys and cards were there. He picked one and smiled seeing it the date on it. This was the first card she gave it to him on his birthday. He still remembered when she came and gave it to him with a toothy smile and how he refused to take it from her.She left it on the table saying that it was for him. Without anyone's notice, he took it and placed it in here.

He laughed slightly to remembered her broken teeth space. She was 6 at that time and after almost 10 years also he has it with him. And after that year this thing followed, she always brought something for him on his birthday and he refused to take it but eventually, he was the one who hid it in his secret box. He was waiting eagerly for this year's present. He got alert hearing the sound of her footsteps and shut the box immediately and pretend to sit on his bed annoyed.

Pragya (rushing excitedly)- Surpriseeeeee.....!!!

His eyes widen as he saw her standing in front of him in a T-shirt, nothing else. It was coming just above her knees. He gulped looking at her as she took a slow step towards him.

Pragya (twirling around) - So, How am I looking..??

Abhi (jerking from her reverie) - What the hell are you wearing...??

Pragya (innocently)- T-Shirt...!!!

Abhi (sarcastically)- O, I didn't see that...!!!

Pragya (confused) - How...?? I am standing here only..!!! Then how didn't you see your T-Shirt...???

His jaw dropped as soon as the words escaped her lips. She was wearing his T-Shirt and he didn't even realize that. How dumb he is..!!! He looked at her from toe to head taking his time to memorize every tiny detail.

Pragya (coming towards him and open the side lamp) - Now You can see it...???

He came out from his trance as he glanced at her annoyed.

Abhi - Why are you wearing my T-Shirt...??? No actually, Why are you wearing only a damn T-Shirt in the first place..??

Pragya bit her lips nervously and his gaze flared for a second. He tightens his fist as he fixed his eyes on his face not bothering to see her little-exposed legs.

Pragya - I saw in a movie. The girl came wearing boy's shirt on his birthday to give him the surprise. And then she walked like this (she walked towards him pointedly and he took the step back) Then she traced her index finger from his forehead to the jaw (she did exactly as she spoke and he gulped audibly) Then she asked him (making her tone seductive) Did you like it, baby...???

He looked at her with wide eyes and jerked her hand. He grabbed Emma and rushed opposite side of the bed. She stared at him shocked.

Abhi (sternly)- Don't you ever see that type of movie again...!!

Pragya (pouting) - Why..?? Is it not good..?? But that boy was really happy when she did that..!! I thought you will be happy too.

Abhi (mumbling)- Today I was thinking her as a mature girl and she proved me wrong again..!!!

Abhi (gravely)- I am not happy. In fact, I am mad...!!! (little-raised voice) Mad at you that how can you be so dumb..!!!

She shuddered slightly as a layer of water form in her eyes.

Pragya (in a whisper) - I did this to make you happy on your birthday, to tell you that you are special.

He sighed listening to her and shut his eyes calming himself.

Abhi (trying to divert her mind, said cockily)- I know I am special, no need to tell me that..!!! (then narrowing his eyes) And btw, when did you get this T-Shirt out of my cupboard..??

Pragya (smiled sheepishly)- Yesterday..!! When you were out with Aalu.

Abhi (without humor) - I want it back...!!!

Pragya (instantly)- No, It's mine now..!!

Abhi (raised his brow) - And why so...??

Pragya (grinning) -Because I am your would be wife and what's yours is mine..!! And What's mine...(smirked) obviously it's mine...!!!

His jaw dropped as she giggled loudly. He looked at her lost for a second but jerked immediately.

Abhi (in an irked way) - You will not be my wife ever. So Stop dreaming about that.

Pragya (confidently) - One day I will be, I promise.

He scoffed but a happy feeling was dancing inside his chest as he saw her so confident about that.

Abhi - Will you leave now..?? It's almost 2 in the morning.

Pragya (nodded in no) - Naah...there's still some movie left.

He shook his head annoyed. After their last conversation, she rushed to get changed then came back with a movie and popcorn in her hand and forced him to watch it with her. He tried to get rid of her but she was stubborn as hell.

Abhi (rudely) - Then watch it at your home, not here..!!

Pragya (smiling) - This is my home...!!!

Abhi - No, this is my home...!!! And now leave me alone..!! I need to sleep..!! If you forgot We have school tomorrow...!!(looked at the watch) I mean today..!!

Pragya (widened her eyes) - Shit...!! I forgot..!!!

She mumbled something under her breath frantically.

She stood up and about to go but turned and gave a tight kiss on his cheek.

Pragya (happily) - Happiest birthday Abhi...!!!!

He placed his hand on his cheek feeling numb as she rushed outside yelling a loud " Good night Hubby "

" I am not " he yelled back but smiled ruffling his hair with his fingers. He went towards his cupboard and sigh in relief to saw the diary still in the corner. He grabbed the pen and the diary and sat on his study table scribbling on it.

Present, 6 months before

A tear tripped down from her eyes as she turned the next page. She doesn't know what to say after learning that he wrote every tiny detail of their conversations and he had the cards which she gave him every year on his birthday in their childhood.

Pragya (with a sad smile) - Why did you hide it from me Abhi..?? Why did you always act rudely with me when you himself were relishing the moments between us..? What were you so afraid of..?

She glanced at her surrounding to see the decoration and her birthday cake on the table.

She turned the next page an read it intently. She sighed when she read after few pages that how he came into her room on her birthday to wish her at night but when she confronted him in the morning how did he react.

Diary Part

Pragya (excited with a bright smile)- Thank you Abhi. Thank you so much..!!

Abhi (look at her frowning )- For what...????

Pragya (smiling ear to ear)- For wishing me on my birthday...!!

Abhi felt nervous but cover his expression well.

Abhi (with a mock laugh) - And when I did that...????

Pragya (her smile disappear little but she manage to say)- You came to my room at night, I was sleeping. Then you wished me and left before I wake up. (unsure) That was you naa....???

Abhi (pertaining a blank face)- Are you really dumb or are you trying it just in front of me. Why the hell do you think I will come to your room just to wish you, your birthday, which I don't even remember before you mentioned it.

Pragya (felt hurt but said determined)- I know it was you...!! I can never misjudged your presence Abhi.

Abhi (cold voice) -  Stop Dreaming about me Fuggy. Just remember one thing, That day will never come when I will wish you your birthday, because I hate your presence around me, So you can think how much I hate the day you came into this world. Now stop bothering me and out of my room. Now...!!!

Tears escaped from her eyes as she look at him heartbroken. He looked at her tear stricken face and turn his back towards her. She left the room with teary eyes as he pull his hair in frustration. No matter how much he denied that he has a thing for her, Her tears always has the effect on him that he wanted to destroy himself just to make her smile, But ironically he is always the one who brings tears in her eyes.

All your life you think the person you love, hate you but after so many years finding it out that it hurt him as well when he hurt you made your heart cried out loud. There were so many emotions flowing inside her that she doesn't know what to express.

Her sadness, for missing them being together.

Her agony, that she was unaware of it all.

Her anger, that he wasted so many years.

Her hurt, that he didn't believe that she worth to know it.

Her happiness, that he cared for her not just hate her.

And the last

Her love, which can never reduce whatever happens..!!
