Dear Lavanya,

What is love? Kya pyaar dosti hai? How do you determine that you're in love with someone? Is love that easy?

I have given a lot of thought to this. Love feels like both sides of the coin, at the same time. It's freeing, yet it's binding. It's selfless, and selfish. It feels fictional at times, and at other times, it feels like the most real feeling in the world. At times, you're a happy child in love, and simultaneously you're an adult, planning your future.

Aai-Baba's love tells me love is all about responsibilities and taking care of families together in a team. Tai-Jiju's love taught me that love is courageous. Aaji-Ajoba's love feels like two people living together for years and getting habituated to each other is love.

How does one feeling have so many shades? And how does one realise that they're in love?

I am actually confused, and I am pretty sure I have no idea what I am typing in this draft. Ben is giving me weird looks as the sound of the keys clacking is the only noise in our room. So, I guess I'll get some sleep. Bye (:
