i like the way italics look.

i like the way writing feels.

i like the way my keyboard buzzes when i'm typing on my phone, where i write all my stories. the way each letter vibrates just enough that you know you hit the key. it's a completely normal thing but it feels so nice to me.

i like creating characters. i like developing their personalities and knowing that no one like them exists on this planet. for now, they are mine. they're my friends and they are here for me.

i like sharing my characters. i feel like it makes them more real. they are no longer mine and they are no longer exclusively my friends but people know them and people relate to them and they differ from them. they are a part of the world now.

i like writing.
