Chapter 1: Living the good life

Each chapter there will be a song you can listen to for atmosphere! I recommended listening to them ^

Allen lay flat out of the sofa, chip packets everywhere. He was burping and being disgusting.

Alisa leaned up against the wall. Her life had changed so much. She was no longer, Abby Lee Millers daughter, hidden in the shadow, living in fear of her mom and her dad. The day Lifetime approached Abby, forcing her to have Alisa on the AUDC Season 2, was the best day of her life. She got to have a summer with some of her now best friends in the world, completely free of her monster mother, Abby. She was good at hiding what happened at home, and kept it a secret.

As the days moved on, she found her self near the day of AUDC Season 2. She was finally going to be out in the public eye. People were going to know Abby had a daughter. Abby had no choice, Lifetime did. After a full summer of freedom, Abby was charging with anger. Her daughter didn't deserve any of this. Allen, her husband, agreed. Their daughter deserved nothing more than her childhood.

When she thought about it, Alisa really didn't have a childhood. She was homeschooled her whole life. She managed to go to the studio when she was young until dance moms began. Abby couldn't risk letting anyone know that she had a daughter. Of course, she thought that daughter was no where near Maddie's level, therefore horrible.

Alisa spent most of the years from when she was 4, in basements. She was used to it. And by the time she had any freedom, at 15, it had already affected her enough. Abby and Allen were never any kind to her, from the moment she was alive. But at 4, was when she really began to get hurt.

Alisa leaned back, thinking. That AUDC changed her life. She told some of her best friends, Kalani, Maddie and Brooke about it. And Paige, but Paige was always someone she trusted. They in turn told their moms.

People began to suspect something was up, when Alisa threw the entire competition to go 'Stay' with her dad. She was meant to fall on stage on purpose, but her friends told her not to. She believed them, and ended up the next week being forced by Abby to pretend she wanted to go home. Very few people believed it was from the heart, as Abby was glaring at her, and she was crying.

Little did she think, shed be back a week later, Bruises and scars all over. She covered them with long sleeves, but the scar on her face would not be covered. She tried hiding it. She hardly would speak in fear. Her eyes were puffy and souless from crying, and she was shaking. She hardly got any sleep, and didn't even have a slight amount of energy. It hadn't been that bad since before summer, and it wasn't okay.

But what scared her most, was that Alisa had called the police. And Allen may be going to jail. Allen said that he was going to get her, but that was a future problem. She had Abby to deal with now. Kalani was sweet and took her to her dorm, even though kalani was sick. Alisa told kalani everything. Although they were going to keep everything anoyomous, it didn't matter. Abby would still blame her.

Alisa was in fear the next few days. Abby's voice made her want to run. Abby was angry. And angrier then ever before. She bailed out Allen, so he never went to jail. But Abby was still going to kill Alisa. There was no proof, she was the one who told, but Abby needed someone to blame, why not the innocent 15 year old, she had broken years ago?

Those two weeks, were the worst. Abby wouldn't let her eat, and she had cameras. She had a 'private' with Abby every day. And those moments killed her.

But then came the faithful, life changing day. The same day Abby bailed Allen out. The same day Allen revealed Alisa did indeed bring him to prison. Abby was beyond angry. She called Alisa in, and was the most violent she had ever been. It probably wasn't the best idea for Abby, The moms already suspected her, and she was in an office. It wasn't like at home, a secluded basement where she taped the mouth to keep quiet. She couldn't do that here.

Alisa didn't even fight back. She took it, and now looking back on it, what if she had told someone earlier? Would things still turn out as well as they did? The moms heard it, and they walked towards the office. Alisa was forced to pretend they were having a private, crying.

Abby lied and lied. She was crying because Abby was yelling, so on. The moms believed none of it, and Brooke took her out of the room. Brooke was persuading her to call the police, Alisas worst nightmare. I mean, look what happened when she told the police on Allen.

She finally was persuaded, and that afternoon, Abby was taken to jail. For one year. Alisa couldn't believe it. She was free. She stayed with Gia for sometime, who wasn't nice to Alisa, As she was Abby's best friend who believed her every word, that Brooke broke, but it was a step up from Abby and Allen. About a month previous to Abby's release, she moved back in with her dad. Maddie and Brooke decided to join her, to make sure Abby didn't eat her.

Really, that day defined her life. She felt free now. Allen was never violent, without his wife, and she lived with two of her best friends. She was 16 now, and she had a year of freedom. It was all she could ask for. She had forgotten about her mother.

Maddie skipped over and sat next to her. She to, had changed. Allen was her dad's boss, and he did things to her. Took away her innocence. But he had stopped while Abby was in jail.

Maddie was different to Alisa. Alisa just took the constant pain from her parents and other people. She expected it by now. Whereas Maddie rebelled, making everything worse for her.

"Heya" Alisa smiled to Maddie
Maddie sat down, "Hey!"

Allen walked over and laid on them.

"OW DAD PLEASE" Alisa squeaked at the fat man on top of her. Did I say Allen was fat? He was very fat. He didn't hurt the children, like abusing, but he still sat on them.

"BROOKIIEE" Maddie screamed.

Brooke skipped out from the kitchen, giggling. She had always felt bad for Alisa and Maddie, but she had never been abused before. She was new to all of this.

So there they were, a normal day, planning for Maddie's upcoming 16th birthday.
Alisa, was being happy and bubbly, her true personality. The one she hardly ever got to show. Hidden behind 16 years of sadness.
Maddie was being a the smart-ass, sweet, hilarious girl she was. She never really hid anything behind her two years, but she still was calmer.
Brooke was being the annoying 20 year old that broke Gia.

Perhaps the Miller family, was gonna be happy now. For the first time ever, maybe this happiness would stay.
