~Ouran Oneshot~ 💖
This is dedicated to one of mah besties and ✨GAWGEOUS✨ waifu Dramione_4_lyf~
It's been a pretty long time since I last updated this bewk, and I figured the best thing to write would be something fun!! \(^o^)/
To those of you reading this and don't know what this is about, basically mah lovely waifu and I have been RPing the wonderful anime Ouran High School Host Club and we made OCs and just all that gud shiz (it's also AU)! Then I got inspired and it made me wanna write this short story about my OC, Kira Takahashi.
The story is set in one of the many scenarios we've come up with where it's the future and the Host Club members have all graduated and moved on in life. Kira's ex-boyfriends, Kyoya and Mori, still secretly harbour feelings for her though and this lil oneshot will be in their perspective based on how *I* portray 'em!
Also, FYI, Kira's a renowned athlete/figure skater in the future and the vid below is just an example of what she can do (the vid also features one of my fave figure skaters Yuzuru Hanyu) 😄

"Master Kyoya, Morinozuka-sama has arrived."
"Yes, thank you. Please let him in." Kyoya nodded, the maid bowing before going to fetch Mori. Several moments later, there was a faint knock on the door and then it was opened.
"Lovely to see you again, Mori-senpai." Kyoya smiled genuinely.
"You, too, Kyoya." Mori replied simply. Even after five years have passed, he was still the silent type. But it was obvious that Mori cared a lot about the Host Club, even after they've all graduated and went their separate ways.
As for Kyoya, it was truly just second nature for him to keep tabs on everyone. He was the 'Mommy' of the Host Club, as a certain dumb blonde formerly referred to him as. But, really, he just wanted to keep in touch with his bestfriends.
"Please have a seat. The Olympics will be starting soon."
Mori did as he was told, plopping down on the lavishly comfortable leather couch. Kyoya then pressed a button on his desk, the blinds on his windows automatically rolling shut before he grabbed a remote and turned on the flat screen TV. The commercials were still on, so Kyoya went to the side of the spacious room and began preparing some drinks for the both of them.
Normally, the two men would be seen as quite an unusual pair to be spending time alone--especially watching the Olympics together. Kyoya didn't seem to be the type to enjoy watching such things, and Mori only seemed to be interested in martial arts.
But a long time ago, they made a promise to each other. A promise about a certain feisty, redheaded vixen. That even when said vixen has ceased all forms of communication with them, Kyoya and Mori still wanted to support her even on the sidelines without her knowledge.
And so here they both were, on their day offs. Kyoya was the CEO of his own widely successful business now and Mori was the upcoming new head of his family. It was rare for them to have some time off, and yet they chose to spend it by staying true to their promise.
As Mori's dark eyes blankly focused on the commercials, he then felt a cool sensation pressing against his cheek. He looked up, seeing Kyoya holding out a glass of liquor.
"Thanks." He murmured, grabbing the glass and taking a sip. Just as Kyoya settled in next to him, the Olympics were back on.
It was finally the figure skating segment, and Kyoya and Mori stayed quiet the whole time. But the silence was easy; both men finding some much needed solace in it as the sounds of applause and various music filled the room.
"Our next skater representing Japan: Kira Takahashi!"
THAT certainly got their attention, making them both visibly perk up. Their intense gazes followed a beautiful young woman in a sparkly and flowy purple dress as she skated onto the scene.
"Here's Kira Takahashi, beloved figure skater and athletic champion." The TV commentator rambled. "She suffered some injuries a while back, so now we will see if that will affect her performance for today."
Kyoya frowned, while Mori remained stone faced. Yet if one looked closely enough, they'll notice a tiny twitch on Mori's lips. They both knew about Kira's previous injuries. Hell, the whole WORLD knew. And, given Kira's occupation, it was natural for her to suffer some injuries every now and then. Luckily, though, she had a speedy recovery. But that still didn't ease the worry and tension Kyoya and Mori possessed.
So, instead, they both decided to focus on something else in an attempt to not be too concerned. Their eyes caught sight of her hair; it was short now, but it made her appear more mature and much prettier than ever. Her body has filled out, no longer that of a teenager's and now of a grown woman's. She also didn't care about the scars on her body anymore, finally able to find confidence and comfort in her own skin.
Kyoya and Mori's hearts clenched at that. A great sense of pride washed over them, happy that Kira was at last content on the path that she chose. And, as much as it still pained them, perhaps it was all for the best that they parted ways...
They were soon snapped back to reality when Kira's chosen music started. The music consisted of a sultry kind of guitar solo, and Kira quite effortlessly glided on the ice.
Kyoya and Mori were completely transfixed, and if they didn't have enough self control then their mouths would be goofily hanging agape. Kira was the embodiment of grace and elegance, yet she held a certain power and precision as she danced and skillfully did her flips. They've been watching her for years now, but they would never tire admiring their gorgeous princess that set the ice she skated on FIRE.
Finally, the song faded away and Kira successfully finished her last move. The crowd erupted into deafening cheers, and Kira's bright smile reached all the way up to her ears as she bowed and thanked everyone.
As she skated back to the sidelines, she was greeted by fans screaming her name from the seats above and some were even throwing all sorts of gifts and flowers to her. But it was her coach who approached her; he was an older gentleman, but very handsome and also a former respected figure skater hailing from Russia.
There have been plenty of rumours about Kira Takahashi's elusive love life, and her coach was only one of the many different men that people speculate that she's dating. And, of course, the reason why didn't go unnoticed for Kyoya and Mori. Kyoya's glasses flashed and Mori's brows furrowed ever so slightly when the coach's arm wrapped around Kira's slender waist as he expressed how proud he was of her.
When the results came out, Kira was crying tears of joy at her near perfect scores. It was a new record! Her coach pulled her in for a hug, and Kira wrapped her arms around his neck tightly as she bawled. And due to her overwhelming emotions, her shapeshifting abilities went a little out of control and two cute cat ears popped out of her head.
Kyoya abruptly turned off the TV. Without the TV's light and the blinds closed, the room was quite dim. Him and Mori stayed silent for a few beats until, unexpectedly, Mori was the first to break the ice.
"We need to get her back."
Kyoya paused, slowly turning his head to look at Mori. Mori's expression was determined, staring right back at Kyoya with an unflinching fire in his eyes.
"How do you propose we do that?" Kyoya asked. He tried his best to sound monotone, but a hint of excitement slipped in his cool voice.
"I heard that Kira will be back here in Japan in two weeks, same as Tamaki. We can invite her to the Host Club reunion."
Kyoya was just about to agree before he stopped himself, shaking his head. "Mori-senpai, we can't. We broke up a long time ago, and I don't want to force Kira into something she doesn't want."
Mori's gaze dropped, but quickly met Kyoya's again. "What if...we're not forcing her?" He questioned softly. "What if she still wants us just as much as we want her? It can't hurt to try. The worst she can do is reject the invitation."
"That's exactly what I'm afraid of." Kyoya sighed deeply, propping his glasses. "I can face a lot of things, but Kira is one of the few that I have too much to lose over. We already lost her once, I don't think I can lose her again. It's enough for me to support her like this, even in the shadows."
"Are you sure?" Mori pressed. And for such a simple question, the answer wasn't. "Kyoya, you don't think I've noticed the girls Asuka has been setting you up with based on your request? They all have red hair."
"So?"
Mori didn't respond, only stared at Kyoya pointedly. Kyoya sighed again in defeat, laying back against the couch as he looked up at the ceiling.
"This is ridiculous."
"Well, when both of us first got into the relationship with Kira at the same time, we also thought it was ridiculous." Mori countered. "And yet... It was the best damn thing that ever happened to us."
Kyoya sat back up, facing Mori. And Kyoya Ootori--who always had something to say--couldn't form any words, as much as he desperately wanted to. For the first time in his life, he was...terrified. His anxiety ate away at him, which was extremely strange for the typically composed and emotionless ravenette.
Mori's eyes were level with Kyoya's, the taller male trying to decipher what Kyoya's answer would be. When the cold silence dragged on for way too long, Mori let out a heavy sigh of his own then stood up and walked out of the door.
But neither of them expected that Kira would be receiving an invitation from a certain adorable shortie who has an unhealthy obsession with cake...
^^^Adult Kira in the future! Just imagine her with amber eyes :3
