Your POV

I had gotten the brain out of our Vic in just a few minutes. After that was done and he was now brainless I handed it over to Liv who looked to be making Brain Parmesan? I shuddered a little before I started to draw blood for screening and cutting him open to check and make sure what was left of his insides, were still in order.

I looked at the guy for a moment before I shook my head. What kind of monster could have done this? And to another human being? What was the point? I know that most killings are usually over money or sex, but this guy? He didn't look like he could hurt a fly. Possibly just the wrong place at the wrong time, sort of thing. 

After all the screenings and autopsy were completed I went into Ravi's office to tell him I had finished once the body was in the cooler. He looked up at me from the case file and smiled gently. 

"Finished so soon?" He asked and I nodded.

"I've always been pretty quick," I said before a smell hit me. 

"What is that?" I asked and he looked over to Liv who was busy pouring hot sauce all over her dinner. We went out to get a closer look and I nearly gagged.

I had seen zombies eating brains in movies and games but, real-life feasting was new to me. I looked at Ravi who wasn't phased by the sight. 

"How does that not bother you?" I asked and grabbed Shrugged and shook his head. 

"One gets used to it after a while"

"Gets used to that? You're insane!" I said and he chuckled as he looked at me. 

"You will I promise, don't worry. For now, try not to lose your lunch on the nice floor" he joked and laughed again.

I felt my stomach churn a little as I looked to see Liv wave at me happily. After she had finished and the smell had left the morgue we looked at her as she closed her eyes. That was before she sighed gently. 

"What's supposed to happen?" I asked and Liv looked at me.

"Usually I gain personality traits of whoever's brain I ate, I get flashbacks from before they died too, but nothing's happening," she said and I nodded.

 "How long does it usually take?" I asked and she shrugged.

"Should be anytime now" Ravi said. I nodded

 "Damnit," I said and crossed my arms. 

Liv seemed to freeze and hold her breath as I looked to Ravi and then back to her as she released her breath. 

"What was it?" He asked.

She looked at us and smiles gently. "The vic was playing a video game and then died as someone walked in and started to yell at him, his girlfriend maybe? He called her Chelsea" she said and I looked at Ravi.

"Thanks how the visions work" I said and thought for a moment. 

"So you have to have something happen to trigger them?" I asked and they nodded. 

"Who would have thought being a zombie would be cool?" I asked and that's when Clive walked in and they told him of her vision.

He nodded as he looked at the two after writing something down on his notepad.

 "The Vic's mother mentioned a Chelsea, she said they had a bit of a falling out a bit before he died. I'll see if I can dig something up, keep the visions coming Liv!" He said as he went back up the stairs.

I looked at the two for a moment before I sighed gently. 

"You guys wanna get something to eat?" I asked and they nodded as they looked at me. 

"Well, I'll eat. This one just did." Ravi said as he grabbed his coat and Liv rolled her eyes. 

We left the morgue shortly after and went to get something to eat at a local diner. After we sat down I looked around and sighed gently.

 "Son of a-" I said before I shook my head. They looked at me and rose a brow. 

"What is it?" Liv asked.

"I forgot to get a damn place to stay, how could I have been so irresponsible?" I asked and they thought for a moment before Liv spoke up. 

"I think Ravi has an empty guest room" Ravi looked at her for a moment before he smiled gently. 

"I do have another guest room, but I do have a roommate currently," he said and I rose a brow. 

"Who's that?" I asked and then it was Liv's turn to have the look.

 "Liv's ex-fiance." he said and I did a dramatic gasp. 

"Tell me more," I said and leaned forward as he started to tell me the tale of Liv and this, Major.

Would you look at that! I'm not dead, well undead at least. I know I've been gone for a long while, but I've been seeing a lot of votes and comments on this story (since I forgot about it). I've been trying to get everything I need to for this year since I'll be graduating in a couple of months. I know, excuses, excuses. But! I'm working on rewatching the 4th season so I'll be able to have more ideas, I hope. I'm thinking that this book won't follow a lot of the storyline that the show has, so if it gets confusing that's why, so bear with me.
