In the sprawling fields of Bangtan Livestock, the days were filled with sunshine, laughter, and the gentle rustle of the wind through the trees. But as with any community, disagreements sometimes arose among the animals. And when they did, it was up to Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi, and Seokjin to keep the peace.
One afternoon, tensions were running high among the older goats.
The baby goats, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook, being baby goats, were oblivious, more focused on their game than the surrounding situation. The guard dogs situated at various sections of the field, had their eyes scanning for signs of coyotes, ears perked up to catch any sounds of danger.
The two of the older goats, Taemin and Seungmin, began to butt heads, their disagreement escalating into a full-blown physical altercation.
The other goats wisely kept their distance, knowing that it was best to let the guard dogs handle the situation. Unfortunately, Jimin hopped right in the way of the two goats, who were locked in fight. Having absolutely no time to react to the baby goat's sudden arrival, Taemin ended up knocking Jimin over with a force that was meant for the older goat.
The young goat let out a pained cry as he was knocked over by the force of the impact, his small frame no match for the larger goat.
Hoseok's head whipped around at the distressed cry and he sprang into action at the sound. Rushing to the young goat's side, he gently nuzzled him, his warm brown eyes filled with concern.
"Are you okay, Jimin?" Hoseok asked softly, nosing him as he scanned for any injury, his voice gentle and reassuring.
Jimin winced as he tried to get back on his feet, his side throbbing with pain.
"It hurts," he murmured, his voice shaky.
Hoseok gently picked Jimin up and padded over to the other side of the field, away from the fight scene. Jungkook and Taehyung followed their hyung, concerned for their brother. Hoseok trusted Namjoon and Yoongi to handle the fight situation as he gently lowered Jimin to the grass and gave him a soothing lick.
Meanwhile, Namjoon and Yoongi had heard Jimin's cry and wasted no time in intervening. With stern barks and imposing stances, they managed to separate Taemin and Seungmin.
Once the situation was under control, Namjoon and Yoongi made their way over to where Hoseok was comforting Jimin. Their expressions were stern, and their eyes flashed with a mixture of anger and concern.
"Are you alright, Jimin?" Namjoon asked, his deep voice filled with worry.
Yoongi's usually stoic expression softened as he knelt down beside Jimin, his eyes gentle. "Are you hurt, little one?" he asked, his voice laced with genuine concern.
Jimin nodded weakly, his eyes brimming with tears. "It doesn't hurt much now but...that was scary," he said softly.
Hoseok lowered himself to the ground, wrapping himself around Jimin's smaller frame, as if shielding him from the world, offering him comfort and support.
"You're safe now, baby. We won't let anything happen to you," he said firmly, his voice filled with determination.
Namjoon and Yoongi exchanged a meaningful look before turning their attention to the older goats who had caused the commotion. With stern gazes and no-nonsense attitudes, they made it clear that such behavior would not be tolerated.
"We won't stand for this kind of behavior," Namjoon growled, his voice firm and authoritative. "You need to learn to resolve your differences peacefully."
Yoongi nodded in agreement, his eyes flashing with determination. "You should be ashamed of yourselves for what happened right now," he warned, his voice low and menacing.
"I didn't mean to hit him. He got in the way, I had no time to react," Taemin confessed, lookimg thoroughly ashamed at having hurt a baby.
"That doesn't matter. All this could have been avoided if you had just settled your differences peacefully, rather than choosing violence," said Yoongi, his glare on the two older goats who had begun the fight.
"What example are you setting for these young ones? They learn through observation. What you do is what they will pick up. What exactly are you teaching them, that physical altercation is the answer to a conflict?" Namjoon growled.
"No," the two goats mumbled, heads hung low.
Yoongi sighed.
"Take this as a learning. It wasn't either of you who got hurt by the altercation, but one of the babies that did. That's the last thing we all want. Now set aside your conflicts or if there is any, communicate with one another and settle it peacefully.
With sheepish expressions, they nodded in understanding, promising to do better in the future.
"I'm really sorry, Jiminie," said Taemin, softly and gently pressing his face against the baby's in apology.
Jimin's tail wagged slightly as he rubbed his head against the other goat's. "It's fine, hyung. I forgive you."
Hoseok smiled fondly at the little one curled up against him, resting his head over the other's and giving him a tiny lick.
And as the sun began to set on another day at Bangtan Livestock, peace was restored once more.
The end.
