Chapter 9
Here we are, another chapter. Time to see what Ciel's true intentions are folks!

Add didn't know why but Ciel just seemed trustworthy. His entire presence screamed it, yet Add refused to let his guard down. He couldn't risk any possibility of (y/n) getting hurt because of his mistake. She loved him now, so he had to make sure that nothing happened to her. The trio walked in silence as they went to the park which only made the situation all the more awkward.
Nobody said anything until Shiro got loose. "Hey, Shiro come back!" (y/n) said as she went after the cat. They were both going through the park gates, so Add let (y/n) get Shiro while he watched Ciel to make sure he didn't try anything.
"You're very cautious aren't you?" Ciel commented as they continued.
"Could you blame me? I can't afford for my research to be interrupted by my capture," Add spoke. Perhaps if Add talked to Ciel more, he might be able to figure him out.
"Can I ask you something, Add?" Ciel asked while they watched (y/n) chase Shiro around the park. No one else was there yet since it was still so early in the morning.
"What do you want to know?" Add inquired rather than simply answering. Shiro finally decided to stop and let (y/n) pick him up.
"Well, I wanted to know why you're so focused on researching nasods when you know it's against national laws. I personally don't think it's wrong to do, but every person that I've met that researches nasods usually don't have good intentions. I can tell that you're different though. I was curious about why you're so into nasods," Ciel said. Hearing Ciel say that he didn't think researching nasods was wrong really shocked Add but he didn't let it show.
(Y/n) was walking back towards the two of them now with Shiro in her arms. "I research nasods because I want to. Nasods are a part of one of the most amazing races on this planet. Why wouldn't I want to know more about them?" Add answered nonchalantly as he watched her return.
"I am glad to hear that. I was hoping you weren't like other researchers." Ciel seemed satisfied with the answer and questioned him no further.
Just then, (y/n) walked up to them. "I've got Shiro secured. What are we going to do now that we're here?" (y/n) said. Add hadn't really thought about that until then.
"Shiro is a nice name for a cat," Ciel mused.
"You avoided my question entirely," (y/n) commented with warning in her tone. It seems she wasn't as off guard as she seemed.
"My apologies. There is actually something that I want to tell the two of you. It isn't good news. We can talk by the fountain so you won't be too focused on what I'm going to say," Ciel said. He wore a dreary expression. Add looked to (y/n) for her answer and she nodded in reply. The three made their way to the fountain and sat on its edge with Add separating Ciel from (y/n).
"I'm going to be blunt about this. You're both on death penalty now for your supposed crimes," Ciel said. Only the sound of the fountain behind them could be heard after he had spoken those words. "That means that the next time you both encounter a member of the El Search Party, they'll have to kill you," he continued after a short moment of silence.
There was another moment of silence to follow. "Will you kill us the next time we meet...Ciel?" (y/n) asked hopefully. Ciel shook his head.
"Killing you both is the last thing I want to do. I honestly don't think you are criminals. Unfortunately, if the situation arises, I will have to fight you," he replied. Add was starting to like this Ciel person even more. He understood that Add wasn't the bad guy here.
"But why are you telling us this? You're a member of the El Search Party so you shouldn't be telling us things like this. You're technically our enemy," Add said.
"You're right. I am your enemy. After today, it's unlikely that we'll be able to talk like this again. As for your question, I told you already that you two aren't bad for wanting to research nasods. If you had evil intentions, only then would I have the desire to follow my orders. For now, just heed my warning. I don't want to see anyone innocent die because their ideals weren't accepted," Ciel responded.
"There's one more thing I should tell you. It's about the poison," Ciel was saying but then he immediately became quiet. "Run!" he suddenly hissed. It was a bit confusing but Add got the mesaage. "I'll stall them for as long as I can. I can tell that your style isn't running but you'll have to just this once," Ciel said as Add pulled (y/n) by the arm and got ready to speed away. (Y/n) held on to Shiro so Add decided that it would be best if he simply carried her to safety.
"Thank you...Ciel. You're not that bad for an enemy," Add said with his back turned to Ciel. He stepped onto his dynamos with (y/n) and left. Going to the lab was not an option. (Y/n) had already turned it into the cat tattoo, so it would take time to reestablish it. They would have to leave Elder immediately without a plan of travel. The forest would be the first place they'd search. To try outsmarting them, Add decided to go to the opposite destination, the Cobo Express station.
"We're taking the train at a time like this?" (y/n) questioned as she was released. Add only pulled her along in response. The train was the last place that the El Search Party expected them to be. It was also the first place they'd search for clues about their location once they figured out that they weren't in the forest. That being said, Add got two tickets to Feita. They would have to get to Altera themselves from there.
It was almost too easy getting on the train. No one asked any questions about their identities and no one dared to question Add's dynamos.
He and (y/n) got a seat at the back of the train where no one seemed to want to go. Add flinched when (y/n) leaned her head onto his shoulder. He hadn't meant to but he still hadn't let his guard down so the sudden contact startled him. "What do you think he meant by poison?" (y/n) asked as the train began to leave the station. Add didn't know for sure, but he had a pretty good idea of what Ciel meant. The AP Search Party meant to kill them although stooping to such levels was disturbing.
