This time Add gets to tell his story. That's right! If you didn't know the story of Add, then you'll know part of it now!

        "I think I was very happy as a child. To be honest, I don't really remember much of what happened way back then. What I do remember was that I had the greatest mother in the world," Add said with a sad smile as he stared off into space. He was probably thinking about his mother. "I remember this one day when my mother and I were sitting in a meadow right outside of town. That's one of my best memories of her. After those memories, the only thing I can remember is losing her," Add said.

        His hands became fists and he frowned at the thought. (Y/n) could tell how painful it was for him to bring up something that he'd tried to keep in the past.

        Add glanced at her and must have seen her concerned look because his expression changed. "We didn't really have much to be honest. My parents had saved up their money for nasod research long before I came along. Whatever money they set aside from that was what we used to survive. Despite that, I only remember the time before my enslavement being nothing but happiness," Add said with a sigh.

        He unconsciously put a hand to the necklace that he constantly wore. "When I was enslaved, they treated me far worse than a slave should be treated. They broke me. I had never felt so terribly in my entire life up until that moment. It was because of this that I so desperately wanted to escape. Eventually, I did but damage had already been done. I got a scar around my neck from that awful place. It really bugs me so I keep it covered," Add said. He flinched when (y/n) grabbed the hand that he had to his neck. She pulled it down and just held his hand.

        Add looked at her wondering why she had done that, but still continued his story despite not knowing. "When I escaped, I ended up getting trapped in a library. I had all types of things to my disposal and I was able to endlessly research nasods...but I felt so lonely at times. There was no one else there with me. I was alone. I was eventually able to escape but the time I spent there...it changed me so much," Add said.

        Now he knew the purpose of (y/n)'s gesture. Saying that had helped him figure it out. By holding his hand, she was comforting him with simple contact. "I did do something else though. I made a deal with this person named Wally. He built nasods. After I learned of the codes that the nasod queen Eve possessed, I betrayed him. He said that he'd get back at me by killing anyone that I cared about. At the time, I wasn't worried about it because I had no one to care for. Now I have you...and now he'll kill you," Add said.

        He was shaking. The thought of losing (y/n) was a bit too much for him. He truly did love her and she made his life better just by being around. He didn't absolutely need her, but when she came along, Add started to remember what it felt like to be cared about.

        "It's your turn to make me a promise," Add said as he looked (y/n) in the eyes. "Promise me...if someone ever tries to take you away from me...you'll fight them with every fiber of your being. I don't want you to be taken away like they were." (Y/n) nodded and leaned her head on his shoulder.

        "I promise, Add. You won't have to worry about me ever giving up if that ever happens," she said reassuringly. He was grateful that she made that promise to him. "You were right. You do understand my pain but yours was far worse. I'm so selfish for believing that I had it worse off than you," (y/n) said. She let his hand go and stood up to stretch. "Well now that that's done, what are we going to do now?" (y/n) asked.

        Add already knew what he had to do although he didn't know if that's what (y/n) wanted to do. "We'll move to Altera. It isn't safe for you here in Elder," Add said. He decided not to tell (y/n) the part if his plan that might make her upset.

        "To Altera? Did you just say Altera?" she said. Add couldn't tell if she was happy or mad about it. She was expressionless as she spoke.

        "Yes, I said Altera," he replied hoping that the decision itself hadn't upset her.

        "Altera is a nasod gold mine! There are nasods all around Altera! We could have plenty of data at our disposal! This is awesome! You're the best Add!" (y/n) said as she smiled and twirled around in joy. Add couldn't help but feel guilty though. She was already planning on going exploring in Alteta which made his job harder. She wasn't going to be allowed to leave the laboratory for a long time once they got to Altera.

        "The first thing that we should do is find something that will help you out in improving your dynamos even more. Then we can look for a rare nasod afterwards! I heard rumors about the nasods there and from what I know, they'll be amazing!" (y/n) said. She seemed so happy about the whole idea which only made Add feel worse.

        "We'll leave whenever you're ready to go. You should do as much as you can in Elder before we leave because you won't be coming back for a while," Add said. (Y/n) wasn't even phased by the fact that she wouldn't be returning for a while.

        "We can go anywhere in Elder?" she asked. The emphasis that she put on "anywhere" and the clear warning in her voice made Add hesitant to answer her.

        "Yes, we can go anywhere in Elder for as long as you want to be there. After that, we'll head to Altera," Add responded. (Y/n) grinned almost mischievously and Add wondered if he'd rubbed off on her a bit too much. "Something tells me that something weird is going to happen," he thought to himself with a sigh.

        And even after telling her his entire story, another wave of guilt hit him when he realized that he'd kept a certain detail about his past hidden. He wasn't from (y/n)'s time period and Add didn't want her to know that.
