        She was sleeping so peacefully that Add worried if she was actually okay. He'd convinced Elesis and the rest of the El Search Party to let him stay with (y/n) while she slept. Apparently, it wasn't the first time that (y/n) came to visit the El Search Party so she was welcome there. But Add...not so much. He sat on the floor in front the couch that (y/n) was sleeping on while glaring at any of the El Search Party members that entered the room, except for Lu and Ciel of course. They were the only El Search Party members that didn't get on his nerves, and they were still watching Shadow for him.

      "How much longer are you going to stay here?" Elesis asked as she walked into the room. Add glared at her too, and turned his attention back to (y/n), ignoring Elesis' question. "Hey, I'm talking to you. Don't ignore me." She went over to Add an sat next to him on the floor. He continued to ignore her and kept his focus on (y/n).

        "What do you want?" he finally asked without even looking in her direction.

        "I wanted to apologize for tying to kill both of you. I realize now that you and her aren't that bad at all," Elesis said.

        "So what? That doesn't make up for all of those times you tried killing us," Add spoke. He had actually nearly been killed by Elesis a long time ago before he even met (y/n).

        Just as Add got lost in thought, (y/n) stirred in her sleep causing some of her hair to fall into her face. Add unconsciously brushed the hair back out of her face. When he realized what he'd done, he faught hard not to let it show on his face. "Why does that girl matter to you so much?" Elesis asked.

        "That's none of your business," Add said with irritation. He noticed that (y/n) suddenly smiled in her sleep. Had she noticed his irritation? Wasn't she supposed to be asleep?

        "She's special to you isn't she?" Elesis asked.

        "She's more than special," Add muttered to where Elesis couldn't hear him. There was a silence in the room for a while.

        "When you showed up just now, I found myself thinking about something," Elesis said breaking the silence.

        "Okay? It doesn't have anything to do with me," Add said hoping that Elesis would go away and leave him alone with (y/n).

        "Actually it does have something to do with you. I remembered the day I almost killed you way back then, and I still didn't understand why I hadn't finished you off," Elesis said. Add remembered that day too. He had been new at using his dynamos at the time. They still had a few errors that Add had to fix, but that wasn't what almost got him killed. He was also new at running from the law since he had lived in a library where running from the law wasn't necessary.

       Add was in the forests of Elder sleeping under a tree right after a storm. His clothes were wet, he was hungry and without food, and of course he was attempting to hide from the Red Knights. He hadn't even heard of the El Search Party yet. It was Elesis who'd woken him up from his sleep. She was traveling alone as a member of the El Search Party. Add had been startled awake and Elesis had her sword pressed to his neck.

        "Your eyes stopped me. You looked at me a certain way. I could tell that not only did you want to live, but you had lived a rough life so far. They didn't hold fear, but they didn't hold agression either. I guess I decided not to kill you after that," Elesis said.

        "Why are you telling me this?" Add asked. He was very uneasy now, and he slightly scooted away from Elesis without her noticing.

        "It didn't just end there. I've always had the desire for you to live. I've never really wanted you dead even when I tried forcing myself into believing that I did," Elesis was saying. She gotten a little closer to him when he wasn't paying attention. Then Eve entered the room. Add had never been so glad to see the queen of nasods.

        "Elesis, I've been sent a distress call. It's from Apple. She has been taken hostage and the cost for her release is Add," Eve said. She held no emotion on her face which reminded Add of Q-Proto, but he could tell that there were several differences between the two.

         "What? Why is Add the price for Apple's release?" Elesis demanded.

         "Apparently, Apple is being held hostage by (y/n)'s parents. They wish for Add to take Apple's place as their hostage. I know not of their true motives," Eve said.

       "Damn it," Add muttered with a sigh. He didn't want to, but he'd have to wake (y/n) up.

         "Are you sure they want Add? Wouldn't it make more sense for (y/n) to be who they're after?" Elesis reasoned as she stood. Add ignored the rest of her conversation with Eve. He turned his attention back to (y/n), bothered merely by the thought of her having to be woken from her sleep because of her stupid parents.

       "(Y/n)..." he whispered as he took her hand in his and put it to his cheek. Her hand was warm against his cold skin. "Wake up, (y/n)," he whispered a little louder this time. She opened her eyes sleepily and stared at him.

        "You have enough energy to beat the crap out of your adoptive parents? They've kidnapped someone and I'm sure they still want me dead," Add said to her.

      "When do we leave?" she asked with a short yawn.

        "We leave now. I bet they're still in Altera too," Add spoke. (Y/n) sat up and Add released her hand, but she kept it in the same spot for a few seconds before moving her hand away. She yawned and stretched a little before she stood up and began to neatly fold the blankets that she'd been using.

        "Elesis...thank you for letting me sleep on the couch. We'll be back later or something," (y/n) said when she was done. She didn't know that Add was to be taken to her parents for a hostage exchange. She also didn't know about Elesis' or Eve's knowledge in the matter. Add would tell her what he wanted her to know when they got outside.

        "Come on let's go," Add said as he stood and headed towards the door. He felt himself being watched and didn't like the feeling. He was glad when he and (y/n) finally left the El Search Party's base and headed out the door. "Your parents have kidnapped Apple and they want me in exchange for her. There's no doubt in my mind that they want me dead, so they can get you. But I won't let that happen. We're going to take them out quickly so that we don't have to worry. Then if you want to, we can come back and visit the El Search Party. After that, I really want to find that place. I want you to see it with me."

      "Since when did we have a schedule?" (y/n) joked. She was laughing a little as the two of them walked to the Cobo Express. They would be taking the train for a second time.

Time for me to get that next chapter written. I am so ready for these chapters that come up next. I usually breeze through them so I will probably finish this book this week or next week. Until next time you fabulous readers!
