Chapter 26
I'm starting to get a little lazy with these author's notes. Just ignore me...

He didn't get up. He didn't move anymore at all. "I was hoping he'd last long enough to see you die. I was planning on making him watch me turn you into a nasod, but I guess that won't be happening. Well, I think I want the honors of killing the girl, so I guess I should probably tell you, Q-Proto, that they really didn't know where Apple was," Wally said as he looked on in amusement. Q-Proto froze.
"Target expired. Termination complete," Q-Proto said. No emotions showed on her face, but if it were at all possible, she might have been feeling regret.
"Add...you can't be dead right? You promised me that we'd go looking for my real parents remember, so you can die here," (y/n) said. She hadn't moved from her spot as she watched Add, hoping he'd get up but he didn't. When he still didn't move, she began to cry. No, she rolled herself into a ball and sobbed.
"Well, Q-Proto. It seems that you have to go find Apple right now. I guess we'll be parting ways," Wally said. (Y/n) could hear him walking across the floor and heading towards her.
"I will take my leave, but something tells me that someone will be dying soon," Q-Proto said. Her footsteps echoed away as Wally's got closer.
"I'm going to enjoy killing you," Wally said, ignoring Q-Proto's last statement. He then kicked her and she cried out but (y/n) didn't fight back. She didn't have the will to go on anymore after seeing Add die right before her eyes. It was her fault anyway having gotten hurt during the battle, so she just kept her eyes shut tight and stayed rolled into a ball taking every hit. Then the Wally stopped.
"I think I'm going to go ahead and end you now," Wally spoke. (Y/n) hadn't been paying attention. Her thoughts wandered to what Add had told her. He wanted to take her somewhere really pretty that she was sure to like. The thought crossed her mind that maybe she'd have to die before seeing it.
"Die!!" she heard someone shout but it wasn't Wally it was the familiar voice of Add. (Y/n)'s eyes shot open and she watched as Add punched Wally square in the face. He stuck a contraption to his head and clicked a button on what seemed to be a timer.
"The nanite explosive," (y/n) whispered. The timer had three seconds on it. Wally's last words were "but how?" and then the devise activated and fried every brain cell he had. Pure rage stained Add's face as he looked down at Wally. He ripped the timer from his wrist and threw it at him. Then Add turned his attention to (y/n) who was now relieved that he was actually not dead at all. He walked over to her, knelt down beside her, and carefully lifted her up into a hug. "I thought you died," (y/n) whispered.
"I was only setting the timer. I planed on using it on Q-Proto just like you wanted me to but she didn't attack me. She said I was dead even though I wasn't. I guess she realized that Wally was evil," Add spoke as he ran his fingers through (y/n)'s hair. She started to cry again. "What's the matter?" he asked.
"Nothing. I'm just glad that you're okay," (y/n) replied. Add actually sat down and pulled her completely into his lap before resting his head on her shoulder.
"I can't be killed easily. You should know that," he said. They sat there like that for a while since they were both exhausted and had both almost died. (Y/n)'s nanotechnology healing affect was slowly taking care of her earlier wounds.
"We still have to fight your parents. I kind of don't want to," Add noted, breaking the silence that had been there for a while.
"They're no parents of mine. We don't have to fight them if you don't want to. I honestly never want to see them again," (y/n) said.
"Yeah me neither," Add agreed. Then there was silence again. It wasn't awkward. Instead, it was the uncomfortable kind of silence that settled in when one got tired. "You all healed up yet?"
"I think so. The nanites in my bloodstream should have had enough time by now to at least allow me to be mobile again," (y/n) replied.
"Okay then." Add picked her up like a child and proceeded to carry her out of the underground hideout.
"Add put me down. You are in no condition to be carrying me," (y/n) scolded.
"I don't want to put you down, so you're just going to have to deal with it," he said in response.
(Y/n) flicked his cheek in response. "Ow, stop that!" Add complained.
"Put me down," (y/n) repeated. Add got tired of her flicking his cheek, so he finally put her down when they were finally on the surface. "Where to?" Add only shrugged in response.
"Can we at least find an inn somewhere. I really want to go to sleep," (y/n) said.
"Only if you let me carry you there," Add said. He smirked at her when she looked at him.
"Fine then. Have it you're way, but when you get tired of carrying me, you can't put me down," (y/n) said. He carried her piggyback style around the city of Elder. Instead of going strait to an inn like (y/n) wanted to, Add carried her all around Elder and to the El Search Party's base. (Y/n) was too tired to pay attention anymore. She was already half asleep when Add knocked on the door. She had closed her eyes, but she still heard part of the conversation.
Someone answered the door. "What are you of all people doing here?" a familiar voice said.
"Chill flame head. I just came to ask for a favor," Add replied.
"Flame head? What kind of name is that?" the voice commented.
"Elesis, who's at the door?!" someone else shouted.
"Can (y/n) sleep on your couch. We just came back from dealing with Wally. She's tired and I don't feel like walking back to any of those inns," Add said casually.
"What?" Elesis said. Perhaps she was still wondering why Add was even there to begin with despite his obvious explaination.
"Add? What are you doing here?" Elsword said probably coming to the door. (Y/n) recognized his voice. Then she drifted off to sleep but woke up again.
"Yeah whatever just don't bother her and I won't bother you," she heard Add say. She wasn't sleeping on his shoulder anymore. Instead she was covered in a blanket and resting on a soft pillow. (Y/n) was too tired to open her eyes so she went back to sleep and again she woke up.
"Why does that girl matter to you so much?" she heard Elesis ask.
"That's none of your business," she heard Add say with irritation. She couldn't help but slightly smile as she went back to sleep.
