Secret admirers

This is dedicated to: KeefeFoster

Her original idea was a secret Santa. But, due to circumstances I have to change it up a bit. Christmas is not celebrated by elves sadly. Also, it isn't Christmas season in real life right now and I'm super ocd about stuff being perfect, lol. It will be following the same-ish storyline so bare with me.

Also, humans, I am typing on my phone. Bare with me on that too.

                Sophie POV.
.  When Sophie entered Foxfire, she got a sudden childish bounce in her step.
It was the last day of school!

Sophie was finishing up her 6th year at Foxfire, which meant that next year she would be moving into the silver towers for further deepening in her studies. Her friends, Dex and Biana, are a grade behind her, and would therefore not be moving to the towers with her till the next year.

After they started school back up after leaving Alluventure, the professors had found out that Sophie was a year older than her classmates. So they moved her up a grade. As if she wasn't already failing at the time as a level three.

But that didn't matter to her anymore, in fact now she was only a grade behind her other friends, Keefe, Fitz, Tam and Linh. So they would be in the towers at the same time, just in separate grades.

As Sophie made her way to her locker,  two little first year girls giggled and smiled at Sophie while waving. She heard one of them whisper to the other as they passed, "That's Sophie Foster. Like the Sophie Foster." They both sighed in unison and walked past.

Sophie arrived at her locker and before looking through her overfilled gift bag of presents attached to the door she licked the lock. Mmm, She thought to herself, Mallowmelt! One of her teachers must of have taken pity on them for their last day.  With the taste lingering on her tongue, she opened up her locker.

Upon opening, a letter fell out. Bending over, Sophie picked up the letter and tried to find any trace of who it had come from. She flipped it over and over, and finally, with a sigh, she opened the letter. It read:

Dear Foster,  (It must be Keefe, she thought)

My present isn't something that can be put into your sack. It is waiting for you in the place where we first met. Come when you see this note. The present has been waiting for a long time. (Wait... what? She thought, how could a present be wait for a long time???)

                                                                                                                 -Keefe-

Completely forgetting about her sack full of presents, she closed her locker and practically ran to the oh too familiar hallway where she had met the mischievous Keefe. Out of breath, she finally arrived. And, of course, he was leaning against the wall like he had done so long ago.

When he saw her, he got up off the wall and made his way toward her. There was nobody around. Everyone was downstairs looking through their presents on the locker floors. They were the only ones up here.

"So." Sophie started. "Where is this mysterious present that's been waiting soooo long?" She said it a little jokingly and he laughed. "Well, It's a surprise... obviously..." He sounded almost... nervous. Sophie wondered why? "Close you eyes and I'll give it to you." He said softly.

Without responding, Sophie closed her eyes and waited. And waited. Then suddenly she felt something soft and warm touch her lips. She froze like a board and kept her eyes shut. When the soft tingly lips left hers, she opened her eyes.

Keefe was only a few inches away from her. He looked into her eyes and waited for a response.

  But, Sophie didn't respond.

She kissed him again.
