"Oh My God! This feels so surreal! I keep pinching myself just to be sure that I'm not dreaming!" You whispered as you let Cedric pull you into bed next to him. He smiled as he kissed you gently.
             "What does? Us?" Cedric asked as he wrapped his arms around you tightly. You sighed as you shook your head.
             "Not us per say but the general idea that we're engaged!" You exclaimed as you lifted your hand to admire your engagement ring. He smiled as he held your hand in his and kissed your knuckles softly.
               "Were you surprised?" Cedric asked as he buried his face into your hair. You shivered as he inhaled sharply.
               "Oh My God! Yeah! We broke up yesterday and the last thing I expected you to do was propose to me!"
               "I was hoping it'd be a surprise! And I was so distracted trying to make the proposal perfect that I didn't even tell you how gorgeous you looked in that dress! I saw you when you walked into the hall earlier with Davies but you didn't even glance in my direction. Not that I can blame you for ignoring me after the way I treated you. I'm so sorry! But I saw him kiss you!" Cedric cried as he sobbed into your shoulder making you sigh.
               "It didn't mean anything, Ced! And why does it matter now? I'm yours!" You replied as you turned over and pressed a firm kiss to his lips.
               "I just can't wrap my head around the fact that on the day that I planned my proposal I almost lost you to another!" Cedric shouted angrily as he raked his hands through all of his taffy colored curls.
               "Cedric! Don't be ridiculous! If I was even remotely interested in Davies I wouldn't have agreed to marry you!" You replied as you sat up and stared at him.
               "Baby! He kissed you! He kissed my girlfriend! Did you like it?" He asked as he sat up and turned himself away from you in complete shame.
               "Cedric James Diggory! Are you even listening to yourself?! Your talking insanity! And need I remind you that I was not your girlfriend at the time! But it doesn't matter! I love you! That's why I agreed to marry you! And besides, before I agreed to go to the ball with Hunter, I told him that I was still in love with you!" You replied as your wrapped your arms around your Cedric's torso and rested your head on his back lovingly.
               "Y-You did? Y-You were still in l-love with me even after you broke up with me?" Cedric asked as he stared at you in disbelief. You sighed but nodded slowly.
               "Don't be an idiot! I will never stop loving you! Never! Now we need to get some rest! Tomorrow's Christmas! And I know we'll want to do something special for that!" You replied as you kissed him softly and helped him back underneath the covers.
               "You're right! I'm sorry! But everything will be better now that we don't have to hide our love for one another and now that we're engaged!" Cedric yawned as he pulled you back against his strong chest and kissed the top of your head softly.
               "Don't forget that I have to go to McGonagall's office tomorrow morning but after that I'm all yours!" You replied as you leaned into him.
               "You've always been mine, baby girl! But don't worry, my love, it'll give me some time to get your gift together!" Cedric teased as he yawned again.
               "Aw Ced! You didn't have to get me a gift! You must've spent Hundreds of Galleons on my engagement ring!" You replied as you once again stared down at the diamond. Cedric laughed lightly as he smiled down at your hand and admired the ring.
               "It was no trouble at all! The ring might've been expensive but I wanted to make sure that you had the absolute best when I finally proposed!"
               "Ced, you said that you've been sleeping with my ring under our pillows since the summer holidays! How-"
               "Do you remember when I asked you dance in my back garden?" Cedric asked as he stretched out his long legs.
               "Yes, that was one of the best dates you had ever planned! I loved that day! Well, up until the part in which my life was threatened!" You replied sadly.
                "And I told you I wouldn't be back until late because I had to run into town to get something. Well it took me so long because of the long walk and that something happened to be the ring you're wearing on your finger," Cedric smirked.
               "Aw! Cedric! Thank you!" You replied as Cedric nodded sleepily. He sat up once again to lean over and kiss you again.
               "Don't thank me, baby girl! I should be thanking you for agreeing to marry me! For making me the happiest man on earth! Now get some rest, my darling fiancé!" Cedric whispered as he tucked the blankets in around you and kissed you one more time.

-Time Skip-

               "Please have a seat Ms. Middlebrook! We have quite a bit to discuss!" Professor McGonagall replied as she gestrued to a seat across from her own.
               "Excuse me Ma'am but what exactly is going on?" You asked earnestly as you took a seat across from your Professor.
               "Well, as you know Ms. Middlebrook, the second task is in a few months but I find this necessary to tell you now! In the second task we will take a treasure of sorts from each one of our Champions and they will be tasked with retrieving them! And you will be Mr. Diggory's treasure!"
               "I'm sorry! I must've heard you incorrectly! I'm his treasure?" You asked in both complete shock and disbelief. Professor McGonagall laughed lightly.
               "You see, as your Professors, are given the job as to finding the one person who means the most to each one of our Champions, which is quite the task if I may add! But Mr. Diggory was particularly easy to pick for! You, my dear, are Mr. Diggory's most valued treasure! Which I don't doubt for a minute!"
               "I'm still not sure that I'm following," You replied as your brows knitted together in complete confusion.
               "All you need to know is that, the evening before the second task, we will be taking you and putting you under a sleeping curse! We will then hide you and it will be Mr. Diggory's job to find you and bring you back safely. Don't worry, no harm shall come to you during the task!"
               "Um...Alright...Not to question you Professor but wouldn't it be much easier to use a material object rather than a person?" You asked in confusion.
               "You see, that's what I thought! But a human has much more value to a person than a simple material object! And you are a prime example! Would it be a safe bet to make that you are more important to Mr. Diggory than anything he owns?"
               "Yes, I suppose that's rather accurate," You replied quietly as you wrung out your hands in your lap nervously.
               "Exactly! Once our Champions realize what we have taken, their drive to find their treasure will make for a much better prize! Trust me! It'll be okay!"
               "Cedric will panic when I don't come back that night and when he can't find me in the morning before the task! You saw how he reacted during the first task!"
               "Well I'd personally be a bit concerned if he didn't worry! You are his fiancé after all!" Professor McGonagall beamed as you shook your head sadly.
               "I'm afraid you don't understand, Professor! Ced won't be able to compete! He's too overprotective!" You exclaimed.
               "And that's precisely why I'm warning you now! That gives you two months to come up with a believable excuse! As for the time in between, Mr. Diggory will, most likely confide in you about the clue to the next task! But you have to swear that you won't tell him, or anyone else, what I have just revealed to you today, or else Mr. Diggory will be disqualified! Am I understood Ms. Middlebrook?" Professor McGonagall asked sternly as you nodded slowly and gave her your word.
               You bit your lip nervously as you left McGonagall's office. There was a lot riding on your shoulder's. But the hardest part would be hiding it from Ced- Smack!
