This Is Ours?

"I'll be back in a few minutes, my love! I need to go find Potter!" Cedric shouted as he disappeared back out of the dormitory, now dressed in dry robes. You sighed as you sat down on the your bed and closed your eyes. Today was Christmas Day.
"Baby..." You whispered sadly as you shook your head and lifted yourself off the bed. You opened your wardrobe and pulled out the most elegant red dress.
You sighed. The dress had been your mother's. It was the dress she had worn her last Christmas at Hogwarts. When she had given it to you she asked you to wear it on your last Christmas at Hogwarts. And you couldn't break a promise to her. Not now.
You slipped on the dress and smoothed down the skirt. You walked into the bathroom as you pinned your hair into an elegant bun atop your head. You smiled weakly  as you applied light layer of make up and made your way back down the stairs to the living room. All that was left to do was to wait for your fiancé to get back.

-Time Skip-

It had been five hours and he still hadn't come home. It was almost 9 o'clock. You got up and began to pace. Where was he? You sighed exasperatedly as you leaned against the railing of the window tiredly.
"Oh My God! Baby girl! You look absolutely radiant! I've never seen a woman more beautiful than you!" A voice whispered softly as a pair of arms wrapped themselves around your waist tightly. You spun around angrily and pushed your fiancé away as he frowned deeply.
"WHERE WERE YOU?! I've been waiting for five hours! God Cedric! I thought something happened to you!" You exclaimed angrily before you pulled him to you and kissed him deeply. He chuckled lightly as you pulled back, his arms snaking around your waist.
"Baby! Hey! Calm down! It's okay! I'm right here! I'm sorry I'm back so late! I was planning on coming back earlier but a few of my friends insisted that I go back to the Hufflepuff Common Room with them so they could give me their Christmas gifts! I tried to explain that I needed to get back to you but I lost track of time...I'm so sorry..." Cedric sighed as he pulled you in closer and pressed his lips to your forehead.
"It's alright, Ced! I was just hoping you'd be back a little bit sooner! But I'm glad you got to spend your Christmas with your friends!" You replied as you moved over to the couch and collapsed in front of the fire. Cedric shook his head and moved to sit next to you. He slung his arm around your shoulders and kissed your cheek softly.
"Christmas isn't over yet, my love! And we shouldn't let all this beauty go to waste! Come with me! I've got a bit of a surprise for you!" Cedric whispered softly as he stood up abruptly and held out his hand. You sighed and took your hand, allowing him to pull you to your feet and into his arms. He smiled and kissed your nose before dragging you out the door.
"Ced? Where are we going?" You asked as Cedric turned down an dark corridor and began to lead you up a giant set of stairs.
"Back to where we started!" Cedric replied as he led you up to the astronomy tower. He stopped your midway up the stairs and bent down on the landing.
"Ced? What are you doing? Please! Oh God! Be careful! I don't want you to fall!" You panicked as you set a hand on his back as he pulled out two cloaks. He threw one of the cloaks over his shoulder and wrapped the other one tightly around your shoulders.
"I wouldn't want my girl to freeze to death on Christmas!" Cedric laughed as he pulled you to the top of the staircase, making you gasp.
Cedric smiled as he lead you to the center of the tower and stared at you expectantly. You turned around slowly as you stared up at the ceiling. You threw your head back in laughter as you spun around, your cloak flowing behind you.
It was snowing in the Astronomy Tower! Cedric laughed as he grabbed your waist and threw you up into the air as you laughed ever harder.
"How? How did you do this?" You asked in disbelief as Cedric set you back down and wiped a few snowflakes off your cheeks and kissed you lightly.
"It was a simple charm! But that's not the only surprise," Cedric replied as he kissed again and pulled out a medium sized package. You shot him a questioning look and took the parcel carefully. It was heavy.
You peeled pack the wrapping and shook your head in utter disbelief. You pulled out a glass block and held it up to examine it. "Ced? Is this what I think it is?"
"Yep! Just cast the incantation and watch!" Cedric replied as you pulled out your wand and cast a simple spell. You smiled as the glass block filled itself with your best memories.
You watched as the night of your engagement reappeared before your eyes, making you tear up as Cedric got down on one knee. You smiled and wiped your tears away.
"I have your gift too! But it's back in the dorm!" You whispered as Cedric nodded and followed you back down to the room. You pushed through the portrait hole and ran back up to the bedroom and grabbed a perfectly wrapped package.
"I wasn't really sure what to get you! But I hope this will suffice!" You exclaimed as you thrust the package toward him. He smiled as he leaned down and kissed you.
"I'm sure that whatever it is, it will be amazing!" Cedric replied as he opened the package and stared at it in confusion as he shook his head.
You had given him a moving picture of a quaint little house. You smiled as you hugged him and kissed his cheek gently. "Do you know what it is?"
"Yeah, it's a picture of a house," Cedric replied as he laughed and kissed you lightly. You shook your head as you smirked mischievously.
"Cedric! That's a picture of our house!" You exclaimed as he stared at you in shock. He opened and closed his mouth as he stared down at the picture.
"This is ours? Oh My God! How?" Cedric stuttered out as he picked you up and spun you around again. You laughed as you kissed him passionately.
"Since we're moving to Ireland after we graduate, I figured we needed a place to stay and I hoped you would like the house! Troy had to find one for me and he sent me hundreds of photographs until I decided on the one I thought you would love!"
