Relax! We're on Holiday!
"Come on (Y/N)! Let's go! Aren't you excited?! This is going to be amazing!" You rolled your eyes, staring at your energetic boyfriend, as he dragged you deeper into the woods. You sighed, annoyed.
"Cedric! You're going to pull my arm out of its socket!" He paused, loosening his grip. You rubbed your shoulder, wincing.
"Sorry, baby girl! I'm just excited. It's the first day of Holiday! And this is our first official date! I don't count sitting on the floor of the astronomy tower at 2:30 AM a date." You smirked, kissing his cheek, causing him to blush tomato red. He was right, though. Your fourth year at Hogwarts had just ended, Summer Holiday was just beginning and you still hadn't been on a proper date.
You had only been dating Cedric for a little over 3 weeks, but there were still a million complications. Your relationship was to be kept a complete secret. Your father was an extremely abusive man and if he ever found out, there was no telling what he would do, but it wouldn't be good. Your mother had allowed you to stay with Cedric over the summer holiday, lying to your father about where you were. For all he knew, you were staying with your Aunt Ella over Holiday.
Cedric began to pull you faster, snapping you back to reality. You sighed. "I'm coming. But it would be easier for me to walk if you weren't so determined on breaking my arm." Cedric scowled, playfully.
"Oh, we won't be walking any further." You looked around, confused. He was kidding right. Your brows knitted together, concerned.
"You're joking? We're in the middle of nowhere! This is what you call a date?!" He laughed as you slapped his arm.
"Of course not! I meant we don't need to walk anymore. We're taking a port key." Realization hit. You mentally face-palmed. Why hadn't you thought of that? Once again, you surveyed your surroundings.
"That makes sense! But one question...Where is it?" Cedric's grin got wider. Your insides churned. This can't be good.
"Up there!" He pointed toward a massive oak tree on the right side of the path. Your mouth fell open. Oh. My. God.
"So let me get this straight. You want to take me out on our first date, you told me to dress nice..."You gestured to the green dress that fell to your knees. "...And now you want me to climb a damn tree! What the hell were you thinking?!" He chuckled to himself.
"Yeah. I suppose I could've thought that through a bit better." You scowled.
"Yeah! I suppose you could've!" You snapped, flicking him on the forehead. He caught your wrist, kissing your fingertips. You rolled your eyes. Ha! Not this time!
"Come on, baby! It'll be worth it! I promise! Now, I'll climb up first then I can help you if you need it." You scoffed but nodded. He started scaling the massive trunk as you watched from below. When he reached a solid branch, he held out his hand for you, which was just low enough for you to grab. He grunted, as he hoisted you up. You looked back down, suddenly dizzy. This is a bad idea.
"You better hope I don't fall!" You commented as he helped steady you on the branch. His hand gripped your waist tightly.
"Don't worry! We'll be fine. We just have to climb up one more branch. Piece of cake." You let out an exasperated sigh.
"I don't know, Ced. I don't want to fall and well...die! Slytherin has to win the Quidditch Cup next year! I still can't believe Gryffindor won this year! Stupid Oliver! Stupid Gryffindors! We're going to kick there sorry asses next time! Just wait!" Your muscles burned with the familiar ache of competition.
Cedric laughed as he helped you up to the next branch. "(Y/N)! Relax! We're on Holiday! We're supposed to be having fun. Just let loose a bit. Now, take my hand and hold on tight." You shot him an unsure glance before intertwining your fingers with his. He grabbed a bright red apple and the world around you began to disappear into a blur. You clamped your (E/C) eyes shut. Here we go again! Another day! Another adventure!
