No! I'm Done! This is Sabotage!
There was a knock on the door and you sighed with complete relief. You set your book down and moved to answer the door. You turned the handle quietly but no one was there. Instead of seeing your boyfriend standing in the doorway, you saw a bouquet of white roses laying on the ground. You smiled as you bent down to pick up the flowers. Cedric could be so romantic when he wanted to be.
You closed the door absentmindedly as you reached for the note tucked in between the petals of one of the roses. You unfolded the small piece of parchment and read it quickly. But there was no romantic love note. Instead the words tore your heart into millions of broken pieces. The roses fell from you hands as you began to shake violently.
Moving towards the hallway you flung the door open and peered down the dimly lit corridor only to find it empty. Cedric should've been home by now. Where was he?
You closed your eyes and tried to calm you breathing. You internally screamed as you slammed the door shut.
You turned around only to come to the most horrific scene you had ever scene. All the color drained from your face. You couldn't breathe. Every single one of the pictures that were hanging on Cedric's wall had been ripped off and torn to shreds. Replacing the moving memories was a message written in dripping green paint. Stay away from him or you pay the ultimate price!
A piercing scream erupted from your lips as you fell to the ground crying your eyes out. What the hell was happening? Footsteps ponded the stairs as someone ran up the steps. You rocked yourself back and forth violently, wanting the nightmare to end.
The bedroom door was flung open with a great amount of force but you didn't dare turn around to see who it was. You couldn't. There was a long penetrating silence before someone spoke.
"Oh My God! Baby! Are you okay?!" Cedric yelled as he slammed the door shut and scrambled to get to you. You continued to sob as your boyfriend picked you up and cradled you in his arms as he made his way to the bed. What was happening?
You rubbed your temples as Cedric set you down on his mattress. You couldn't take this! What the hell was going on? Your boyfriend rubbed your back lovingly as he stared at you in deep concern. You were losing your ever loving mind.
Cedric finally looked up and for the first time noticed all of his pictures torn off the wall. He gasped as he fell to his knees in defeat and began picking up what was left of all the shredded memories. You shook your head and stared off into space.
He got up off the floor and turned to face you. His eyes were red rimmed and tears were streaming down his face as he held a few of the ripped pictures in his shaking hands. He looked at you as if you might disappear from sight right before his eyes.
"What happened?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper. You shook your head and stood up to wrap your arms around his torso as he cried.
"I don't know! But I think I have a pretty good guess as to who did it!" You replied through clenched teeth and balled fists as you gestured to the wall behind him. Cedric turned around again and did a double take when he saw the green paint.
"Oh My God! Oh My God! Baby! Did she hurt you?! Were you in here when she did this?! How could she do this? I can't believe this!" Cedric exclaimed as he shook with rage. You shook your head as you rubbed his biceps to calm him down.
"No, she didn't physically hurt me, but I can't say as much for what she did emotionally! Look at this! Oh My God! Cedric? Did you send me flowers earlier?" You asked suddenly as Cedric stared at you.
"No I didn't! Why? Did someone send you flowers? Was it another guy?" Cedric asked as he seethed with rage.
You shook your head and pulled away from your boyfriend. You bent down and picked up the discarded bouquet of flowers and the scrap bit of parchment.
You handed him the roses and the scrap of paper. He took it gingerly and began to read, the emotions dancing clearly on his face. You bit your lip nervously.
His head shot up as anger coursed through his veins. He through the flowers across the room at such force that they hit the wall and fell to the ground, showering the whole room in white pedals. He braced himself against his bed frame and cursed. You approached him cautiously as you set a hand on his back, gently.
"Cedric! Please! It's okay! I'm okay! I'm still here! I'm not going anywhere! Please! I'm begging you to calm down!" You pleaded as you rubbed your boyfriend's back. You could practically feel the tension and the hatred running through him.
"No! I'm done! This is sabotage! She threatened your life and she's lucky I don't march in there and give her a taste of her own medicine! I'm done! No one threatens your life and gets away with it! Come on! Get your stuff together! We're leaving!" Cedric growled as he straightened up and flung open the lid to your trunk in a fit of rage.
"What do you mean we're leaving? Where are we going to go?" You asked as Cedric tossed some of your dresses into the open trunk. He shook his head and averted his pale eyes as he exhaled.
"Before we left for Holiday, I talked to Adrian and Terence, in case something went wrong we would both go to stay with them. And something just happened so get your things together while I pack my own trunk. We're leaving!"
You wanted to protest but you knew better than to argue with him. He pulled a few books out of his bedside table, including the picture album you had given him for Christmas. He set them in the bottom of his empty trunk, along with his broom, robes, a few stray pictures of you, his toothbrush, and all of his clothes.
You closed your own trunk and handed it to him as he placed it by the door. He looked back over at you and wiped your tears away with his thumbs. He grasped your face in his strong hands as he placed a soft kiss on your lips and nodded.
"We'll be okay! I promise! Nothing will happen to you! You're everything to me and I swear I'll protect you with everything I have!" Cedric whispered as he levitated both trunks. You nodded and picked up the scrap of parchment from the flowers.
"Just in case we need to use it against her," You sighed as you tucked it into your pocket. Cedric inhaled sharply but offered you his hand. You took as he squeezed your palm reassuringly. You were safe as long as you were with him but that didn't stop Cho's words form echoing in your head.
He says your the prettiest rose in his garden but your nothing but a thorn in his side. He says you have a pure heart but we know your heart is black with rage and hatred. He says your his princess but your nothing but a peasant. You had your chance to be something special. But your time has expired and mine is well overdue. Stay away from Cedric unless you don't want to live to see another day.
