I'm Hunter! Hunter Davies!
"Hey babe! Looking beautiful as always! We missed you!" Adrian shouted as he walked towards your small table. You smiled as you jumped to your feet and threw your arms around your brother. Terence smirked at you from behind as he pulled you into his own loving embrace.
"Where's Matthew?" You asked as you peered down the crowded streets of Diagon Alley. Terence shook his head as he sank into a chair next to your boyfriend, bouncing nervously. Adrian retrieved a chair and plopped down next to you.
"We didn't bring him because he doesn't need to hear about your life being threatened!" Terence replied gruffly as he pulled a bottled water out of his bag. Adrian leaned back in his chair and stared off into space as he bit his lip.
"Oh God! I don't even know how on Earth did you get yourself into this one? And why is it that someone is always trying to rip you two apart? Have you ever thought about just calling it quit-"
"Wait! Wait a minute? Are you telling me that you don't think we're right for each other? I'm not going to break up with my boyfriend just because some jealous psychopath threatened to kill me if I didn't!" You interrupted, cutting Adrian off. Terence let out an exasperated sigh.
"We're not saying that you're not right for each other at all! As a matter of fact, we think you're too perfect for each other! And I don't know! Maybe that's why life keeps throwing all of this crap at you but you have to ask yourself are you happy in a relationship where people are constantly trying to tear you apart?" Terence asked.
"I...I...I...Of course...I..." You stuttered out as you looked around wildly as if this were some kind of joke. Terence bit his lip as you struggled to find your words. Your eyes flickered to your boyfriend but his eyes were anywhere but on you.
"All we're saying is that maybe you should take a bit of a break. Would it hurt to try dating someone else for a while? It might-" Adrian began slowly.
"Oh My God! Oh My God! I...I can't...Oh My God! How could you?! Oh My God!" You stood up abruptly and grabbed your purse. You sent a maniacal glare at them before you took of running down the street. You pushed your way through the crowds holding in the urge to cry.
Tears blurred your eyes as you continued to make your way back towards the pub. You wiped away a few stray water droplets only to run right into someone. You staggered backwards rubbing your head as someone caught you in their arms.
"Woah! Are you okay?" The boy asked as he brushed a few stray strands of hair out of your face. You looked up only to be met with a pair of bright blue eyes. The boy smiled as he helped you regain your balance. You looked away, embarrassed.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry. I should go-" You stammered out as you rushed to wipe away a few more tears and started back towards the Leakey Cauldron. The boy caught your wrist and peered down at you in deep concern. You stared back at him.
"Wait! You're not okay! If you were okay you wouldn't be crying! Where are you headed? The Leakey Cauldron? Come on! Let me buy you a Butterbeer," the boy offered as he held out his hand for you. Grasping his hand in your own nervously you let him lead you towards the small pub.
He held open the door for you as you stepped into the dimly lit restaurant. He pulled out a stool for you at the bar as he sat down next to you and ordered two Butterbeers from the bartender. You gave him a weak smile as he turned towards you and handed you your drink. You wrapped your hands around the steaming mug as you drank the warm liquid. The Butterbeer slipped down your throat making you slip into a fleeting state of contentment.
"I'm Hunter by the way! Hunter Davies! I don't know if you know my twin brother Roger? You seem awful familiar," Hunter added as he sipped his own drink. You smiled shyly.
"I seem to be getting that a lot lately. I'm (Y/N). (Y/N) Middlebrook," you replied as you laughed lightly. Hunter's eyes lit up in recognition.
"(Y/N) Middlebrook? As in the Slytherin Team Captain? You're practically Slytherin Royalty at Hogwarts! Everyone knows who you are!" Hunter stated. You averted your eyes, trying to hide the blush on your cheeks.
"Everyone seems to be saying that lately but it's not as great as you would think," you stated solemnly, the blush still burning on your cheeks. Hunter smiled.
"Has anyone ever told you how cute you look when you blush?" Hunter asked as he leaned in a little bit closer.
"Are you flirting with me?" You teased as your cheeks became even more red. Hunter smirked as he leaned in even closer. You bit your lip nervously.
"So what if I am?" He whispered as he set a hand on your knee. You shivered as you stared at Hunter. He smiled as his face got closer and closer to your own. You leaned in but stopped yourself at the last minute. You couldn't do it.
"I have a boyfriend!" You blurted out just as Hunter's lips were about to touch your own. His mouth hovered only millimeters from yours before he slumped back in defeat. You began to cry again as you covered your eyes with your hands.
"No! Don't cry! That was really fast! I shouldn't have done that! I'm so sorry!" Hunter panicked as he bit his lip nervously. You shook your head sadly.
"It wasn't you! This is all my fault! I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have led you on like that! Oh My God!" You cried as Hunter held your hand in his own.
"You didn't lead me on! I just saw a beautiful girl and I thought I'd take my chances! You're boyfriend is very lucky and I hope he knows that!" Hunter replied as he laughed and let go of your hand and set his cup back down on the bar.
"I don't know if he feels that way, we're on a bit of a rough patch right now," You mumbled as you played with the hem of your dress skirt.
"What happened?" Hunter asked earnestly as he looked at you with the upmost utter concern making you smile weakly. Should you tell him?
"My brothers were telling me that maybe it's time I moved on and see other people. I expected him to say something but all he did was sit there and stare at the ground. It just makes me feel like he doesn't want me," you sobbed quietly.
"I can't reassure you that he does want you but I can say that if he doesn't, he sure is missing out on a lot. I would kill to be with a girl like you. And if he's unhappy in your relationship then he's not worth your time! Your (Y/N) Middlebrook for God's Sake! Damn girl! You can have any guy you want!" Hunter exclaimed.
You smiled as you threw your arms around him, catching him off guard. His arms wound around you as he hugged you back. You pulled back and beamed.
"Thank you! You've just given me the best advice anyone could've possible given me! Really Hunter! Thank you so much! I need to go but would you keep in touch with me when we get back to school in the fall?" You asked as you looked at Hunter.
"Of course I will! And if you're ever in need of a new boyfriend, hit me up!" He smirked as he bent down and kissed your cheek. You smiled as you watched him disappear out of the pub. And then out of the corner of your eye you saw him.
