"Hey! (Y/N/N)! What do you think the first task will be?" Adrian shouted down the corridor as he ran to catch up with you. He slung his arm over your shoulder as you walked out into the sunny courtyard.
              "I don't know, Pucey! How the hell am I supposed to know?" You shot back as you shifted under the weight of his arm. He laughed as he leaned into you, putting most of his weight on the arm wrapped around you. Groaning, you pushed him away.
            "Oh...I don't know...maybe because your boyfriend is one of the competitors!" Adrian replied as he grinned.
             "He doesn't even know what it'll be. They're not telling them," You stated as you walked over to an empty bench.
             "Speak of the devil! There he is!" Adrian whispered as he gestured to the other side of the courtyard. You followed his gaze and rolled your eyes impatiently. Your boyfriend was laying down on one of the stone benches, laughing with his friends.
             "Yeah...He never seems that happy when he's with me," You sighed as you turned your gaze away from Cedric.
             "I don't believe that! You should see the way he stares at you in the Great Hall when you're not looking! He looks at you with more love than is physically possible to feel!" Adrian replied as he hugged you tightly. You sat there for a while, your eyes squeezed shut. What were you supposed to say.
             "That's not what I meant, Adrian. I know that he loves me but when we're together he's so overprotective that we don't ever get a chance to just enjoy ourselves. But looking at him with his friends, he seems so carefree. I wish he'd let go like that when we're together. I miss hearing the sound of his laugh. I miss seeing his smile and the way his eyes light up when he does. I miss all of it. It was almost easier when we weren't dating," You whispered to Adrian after a long moment of silence. Adrian nudged you gently.
             "You're going to have a lot of explaining to do! He heard all of that!" Adrian replied as your head shot up.
             Cedric was standing a few feet away from you and it looked as if his heart had just been shattered into pieces. You gasped and pulled out of Adrian's embrace.
             He gestured up towards your room and you nodded slowly. Then he disappeared. You turned back to your brother, sighing.
             "Do you think he's mad?" You asked nervously as you shouldered your bag. Adrian shook his head earnestly.
             "No, I don't think he's mad, not at you, anyway. But I think he's mad at himself for not giving you what you want. I think he's mad at himself for not paying enough attention to you!" Adrian replied as he stood up and grabbed his own bag.
             "I can't believe I said that! I can't believe he heard that! I'm sorry Adrian! I've gotta go!" You shouted as you turned around and ran towards your dormitory.
             You pushed open the door to the bedroom only to find Cedric laying on the bed, crying. You shook your head and sat down on the mattress next to him. You threaded your fingers through his taffy colored curls and kissed his forehead.
             "Cedric? Babe? Why are you crying?" You whispered as you caressed his cheek gently. He pressed your palm to his face and held it there.
             "You're right! I'm a terrible boyfriend! I can't believe I've treated you so horribly!" Cedric wailed as he shifted his head into your lap. You cradled his head gently as you stared down at him sadly.
             "Ced! You're not a terrible boyfriend! You're the best boyfriend anyone could ever had!" You reasoned and you wound his curls around your nimble fingers.
             "But I make you unhappy! What kind of boyfriend has more fun with his friends than with the love of his life?!" Cedric cried as he threw his head back in frustration making you cry out in pain. He sat up abruptly, a look of horror crossing his features.
             "It's okay! I'm okay! I wasn't expecting you to do that! It's alright! Cedric! You don't make me unhappy! And plenty of people prefer their friend's company! We spend practically every minute of every day together! We sleep together! We do everything together!" You reassured as you kissed your boyfriend's forehead gently.
               "I want to make you happy but I want to keep you safe! And I want to be happy! What the hell am I saying?! I am happy! I just need to let go and put down the protective walls! I'm so sorry my love! I'm so sorry!" Cedric cried as he leaned in.
               "Don't apologize! I'm not angry!" You replied as you grabbed his face in your hands firmly and kissed him passionately. He sighed into the kiss as his cold fingers slipped underneath the hem of your shirt. You gasped and pulled away in surprise.
               "I'll try and do better! The next visit to Hogsmeade we have, I'll take you out on a real date a Madame Puddifoot's Tea Shope!" Cedric insisted. You shook your head.
               "Please don't! I hate that place! I'd much rather us play an improvised game of Quidditch or just make out in a secluded area," You teased as Cedric smiled.
               "I like your idea much better than I like mine! We could go swimming in the Black Lake! I don't think we'd die if we don't go too far out," Cedric replied, making both of you laugh lightly.
               "I'd like that! But I want to know why you were standing behind me? One minute you were talking to your friends and the next thing I know you're listening to every word I'm saying!" You stated as you caressed Cedric's cheek lovingly.
               "Potter! He wanted to talk to me! He had found out what the first task was going to be! As much as I hate him, he did me a huge favor! I have two weeks before the first task and I need all of that time to prepare!" Cedric replied as he averted his eyes.
               "What's the first task?" You asked curiously as Cedric removed your hand from his cheek and pulled you onto his lap. He shook his head and sighed.
               You wrapped your arms around him and leaned into his chest as he bit his lip nervously. "Dragons! I have to battle a dragon!"
