Does It Hurt When I Touch It?

"Are they going to let you see him before the first task?" Terence asked quietly as you walked down to a newly built arena. You bit your lip but nodded slowly.
"Dumbeldore said that he refused to compete unless he could see me first," You replied as you stumbled down the steep hill. Terence offered you his arm as Adrian slid to a stop in front of you, almost making you fall forward on top of him.
"Is he stupid? He'd give up a chance to compete in a competition that's going to go down in history just to see a girl?! No offense (Y/N/N)!" Adrian asked in disbelief. You scowled as you punched him in the arm, making his stagger backwards.
"He's doing it for love ! And I'm more important to him that stupid competition! But now we know how it'd be if you were competing!" You shot back. Terence laughed as he stopped at a fork in the path.
"We'll save you a seat! Wish Pretty-Boy luck for us!" Terence shouted as you made your way towards a white tent. You inhaled sharply before you pushed open the flap to the tent. Before you had even stepped inside, you were enveloped in a tight hug.
"Baby! Oh My God! Oh Baby Girl! Oh My God! Oh My God! Hold Me!" Cedric sighed as you wrapped your arms gently around his torso. He buried his face in the crook of your neck and inhaled.
He pulled back after a minute and led you into the center of the tent. Three sets of eyes had now turned to stare at you, making you shift uncomfortably.
"Vot is she doing in here? Vis tent is for Champions only! Vot does she think she's doing?" Viktor Krum asked, suddnely outraged by your presence. Cedric sneered at Krum and stepped in front of you protectively. You shook your head impatiently.
"Watch your mouth! She happens to be my girlfrined!" Cedric shot back angirly as he wrapped his arm around your waist protectively.
"Wait! Zis is your girlfriend? You chose her over me?!" Fleur asked in disbelief as Cedric continued to frown.
"Yeah! And I'd make the same decision a million times over again! Now if you'll excuse me I want to make sure I have enough time with my girl!" Cedric stated angirly as he pulled you into a secluded part of the tent, sperate by another canvas flap.
"Are you okay?" You asked as Cedric sat down on a small cot in front of you. Sighing, he pulled you onto his lap and held you in his arms tightly.
"You smell amazing! Like jasmine and white roses!" Cedric whispered as he inhaled. You sighed, shaking your head.
"And you're avoiding my question! What's going on?" You asked as you pushed a few of his curls out of his eyes. He sighed and turned away from you.
"I'm scared! I'm supposed to battle a dragon and that's not considered mortal danger! I'm scared that I'll never come back! I'm scared that I won't make it through this task and I won't be able to crawl into bed next to you tonight! I'm scared I'll never be able to kiss your soft lips again. That I'll never get to see your beautiful smile or hear your melodic voice and that infatuating laugh of yours again!I'm so scared of what's going to happen!" Cedric whispered fearfully.
"Don't think like that! You've been preparing all week! Everything's going to be fine! And I will be right out there, cheering you on, louder than anyone else!" You replied gently. Cedric nodded and kissed you softly as you looped your index fingers behind his ears, holding the kiss a bit longer.
"Thank you, baby! I've gotta go but I'll see you after the task! I hope! But remember I love you!" Cedric choked out as you pulled yourself off of his lap.
"I love you too! Stay safe and don't do anything stupid! Now, go out there and kick that dragon's ass! I'll be proud of you no matter what happens!" You replied as you kissed him once more as you slipped out the back of the tent and set off to find Terence.

                               -Time Skip-

"Oh My God! Oh My God! Oh My God! Oh My God! Oh My God! Oh My God!" You shouted as you gripped Terence's hand tightly. You stared in horror as your boyfriend ducked behind a rock barely being missed by a giant ball of fire. The dragon seemed to have lost interest in the rock your boyfriend had transfigured into a large dog.
He was so close. Just a few more inches. He peered out from behind the rock and before you had a chance to think, he ran out from behind it and scooped up the egg. The entire audience cheered as he began to run towards the door of the statium.
His sudden movment caught the eye of the dragon and another fireball was sent in his direction. But this time it didn't miss. He screamed as the scoarching flames connected with his face. He held onto the egg tightly as the skin on his cheek was charred and pushed through the exit of the arena.
You gasped and were on your feet before Terence could stop you. Not waiting to watch the rest of the competitiors, you ran out of the arena and towards the tent.
By the time you reached the tent, Madame Pomfrey was already tending to your boyfriend's face, as Krum and Harry stood around him. Cedric sat up, as soon as he saw you, despite Madame Pomfrey's protests. You ran to his side as he wrapped you in his safe and tight embrace.
"Hey! It's alright! I'm okay! Don't worry about me!" Cedric reassured you as he wiped a few tears off of your cheeks.
"Oh My God! Cedric! You could've been killed! Oh My God! I was so worried!" You exclaimed as Cedric smiled weakly. You pulled back to examine the burn on his face. You turned away.
"It's alright, baby! I'll survive! Won't I, Madame Pomfrey?" Cedric asked in an effort to ease your nerves. The nurse nodded but frowned as your fingers wandered up to your boyfrined's burnt cheek. She opened her mouth to protest but Cedric held his hand up to stop her from saying anything and let you touch his cheek, gently.
"Does it hurt when I touch it?" You asked as you carefully moved the tips of your fingers over the burn in a quick fleeting movement. He shrugged nonchalantly as you pressed a gentle kiss to the deep burn. But as soon as your lips came in conatct with the charred skin, the burn disappeared before your eyes. Cedric's eyes widened as he moved his own hand up to his cheek, making him smile brightly.
"Oh My God! Baby! How did you do that? Oh My God! I told you! I don't need a nurse when you can do all the work! All you have to do is kiss me and make me feel better! I told you! You've healed me, baby!" Cedric exclaimed as he pressed a passionate kiss to your lips.
