You couldn't think straight! You just kept thinking of everything you had lost. You didn't know if fixing this was the right thing to do but your heart continued to propel you towards him. Your heart was craving him. A force that was undeniable. You had to get to him. And as fast as you possibly could.
Your mind was spinning and everything rushed by in a blur. You weren't exactly sure which direction you were headed in but you knew it was toward Cedric. It had to be towards Cedric. You shook your head trying to clear the fog haunting and clouding your brain. You lost track of everything around you and ran smack into something.
Staggering backwards, you massaged your temples, trying to blink away the pain from the impact. You heard someone gasp but you couldn't quite place the sound. It wasn't until you heard his voice, that you came crashing back down to Earth. "(Y/N)? Baby? What are you doing here? Why aren't you asleep it's 2 in the morning?"
You looked up at him, eyes glassy with tears. He peered back down at you, his own vision blurred. You stepped toward him, balling a fistful of his shirt in your hand. He looked down as you gathered his yellow cotton t-shirt into your palm. Without thinking, you yanked him towards you. Your lips collided with his and you felt like you were home.
He nipped at your bottom lip, letting out a soft moan as he kissed you more passionately. You pulled away gasping for air, but he didn't let you get very far. You had enough time to take a single breath before his lips were slanted over yours once more. His hands gripped your waist tightly, as your own wandered their way into his curls. You set an index finger in between your lips, stopping the kiss. His eyes were screaming in pain but he kissed your finger, before pulling back. He set his forehead on yours, staring into your (E/C) eyes, losing himself. He caressed your cheek as you held tightly to his waist line.
"I don't want to break up baby girl! I want this to last forever! I want us to last forever! I want us to fall deeper and deeper in love with each passing day! With each passing minute! With each passing second! I want us to have a future! I don't want us to keep running into these problems that tear us apart! I don't want to have to keep running back to each other and pour out all of our deepest regrets and mistakes! I want us to get it right the first time! I want us to have a relationship so strong that not even fear could rip us apart! I don't want to loose you! I'm the stupidest git on the face of this Earth for continuously letting you down, but I want you to know that you're the only girl for me! You're all I want!"
You wrapped your arms around his torso and he immediately responded by setting his hands at the small of your back and resting his head on top of your own. "I need you. I can't believe I said all of those things outside. I was just so hurt. I didn't know what to do. I've never felt an emotion as strong as what I feel for you. And it has to be love. I don't know what else it could be. But I don't know anything about love. This is all so incredibly overwhelming to me! I don't have a family that loves me. But I have you. And you're the only thing that has stayed constant. My feelings for you are the only things I'm completely sure of. I love you. Forever and always."

"I'm so sorry Cedric! I don't want us to break up. I was so stupid to throw it all away. I was afraid that I had lost you forever. You don't need to prove anything to me. I don't know why I said that. I was just so heartbroken. But I can feel your love. Every time I'm near you. Every time I see you. Every single time. Without fail. Cedric smiled softly, before he sank to the ground. He landed on one knee. You stumbled back. What was he doing. He pulled out a ribbon, hidden underneath his shirt collar. It was tied delicately around his neck and from it hung a ring. A ring with an emerald set in white gold and the smallest engraving inside the band. "You kept it?"
"Of course I did. And I vowed never to take it off until I could return it to it's rightful place on your finger." He slipped the ring off of the string and held it in between his thumb and index finger. "With this ring, I, Cedric Diggory vow to love you, (Y/N) Middlebrook, until the end of time. Because..." He slid the ring back onto your finger and stood up, setting his hands on your waist once more. "...together we have a love more powerful than magic. A love more powerful than all the magic in all of England. In all the world. Because we belong together. Because we're (Y/N) and Cedric. And nothing can change that."
