"Gukkie, hurry up!" Taehyung shouts from the front door, his voice giddy with excitement. Jeongguk smiles to himself before going downstairs.

"Woah, calm down, tiger," he says jokingly in which he earns a playful slap in the arm.

"Am I the only one who's excited to go out with you?" Taehyung asks, lips turning into a pout. Jeongguk couldn't help himself but chuckle at how adorable his husband looks like right now.

"I'm beyond excited too, in case that's what you wanted to hear."

"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

Jeongguk lets himself be dragged outside by Taehyung. He looks at his husband adoringly, a smile creeping on his face once again.

Taehyung never fails on making Jeongguk smile.

"Will you still be here when I wake up?" Jeongguk asks, facing Taehyung amidst the dark; their naked bodies in proximate with each other.

"I'll be here, darling." Tae smiles softly, his fingers instantly reach out to play with the fringe on Jeongguk's damp hair.

"You promise?" Jeongguk sounds vulnerable, as if he's letting his guard down- showing Taehyung how afraid he is to wake up next to an empty spot on their bed, just like any other day.

"I promise, Gukkie."

And it was enough for Jeongguk. The promise, the assurance, anything that Taehyung would say to ease his mind will always be enough for him.

"Your fingers are freezing." Jeongguk points out, emitting a soft chuckle from Taehyung. The younger reaches out to stop Taehyung from moving his fingers any further, and then he brings it close to his lips.

"I love kissing you and your hands."

"I figured."

"Let's go to sleep, baby. Don't worry, I'll keep you warm again tonight."

"I know you will, Gukkie. I know you will."
