Little Moth
Very Important Authors Note: A few things I would like to run by you guys and hope you will give me you're opinions. First; I have been advised to write another greenflame story as well as continuing writing this one. I have come up with three idea's that I would like to share with you guys. I will be posting them in an authors note and you will be able to vote on which one you would like to read. Either leave a comment or send a private message. Secondly; I have been considering doing a smut scene in this story for a while now, granted it would be farther down the line if I did decide to write it, but let me know what you guys think and if I should write it or not. I wanted to add something to their blooming relationship. Another thing, I know when I write, my swearing tends to get out of hand. The last thing I want is to offend any of you, so I refrained from using cuss words and altered my writing. Now there are a few, choice words still in here, but I wouldn't consider them to be too crude. Be warned that there is a scene involving sexual harassment. If you feel uncomfortable, you can always skip it, but the scene is pretty mild. As always I appreciate all you're lovely lovely comments and really do hope you enjoy this chapter. I apologize for it taking so long to get it out. I do try and write everyday since I have a lot of free time. Again, ill be posting those greenflame story ideas here soon, and you will be able to vote which one you want to see me write. Thank you guys so much...You all are wonderful!! Feel free to ask me any questions you might have, I know my story can be kinda jumbled and hard to understand at times. Let me know what I need to improve as well.
Side note, I just thought the picture up top was so freaking adorable and matched this chapter well. Just had to say it.

When I had awoken...or became conscious within my own mind, I was surrounded by darkness....a darkness that is not only registered through the eyes but is a tangible feeling in my chest. Seemingly stuck in this paralysis, my instincts flashing an internal warning, as thoughts screamed at me to flea, that something was..."off", but my body doesn't respond, it simply can't. I knew that this couldn't be reality. My mind was aware, being able to distinguish this as some kind of vivid dream that I couldnt wake from. Although it was just a figment of my imagination, me being so entranced in my so called "dream land"..the feeling was very real. I felt a palpable sensation in my chest that seemed to spread threw me. The magnitude of it seemed to push with such paralytic force, as I found it harder to think straight. The worst part was that there was nothing visually terrifying, so why was I panicking? It was just...dark. Perhaps that's where the fear came from. The fear of not knowing, the fear of being helpless, unable to move. This dream wasn't like any dream I've had before, or at least that I could remember. I was being smothered in a dark energy, as my body lay involuntarily still. The feeling that accompanied that darkness was strong, almost as if it was being awakened, "not like that makes any sense at all". If there was one thing I knew, it was that I wasn't dead, or in some cursed Realm. There's one memory that keeps repeating in my head. I remember being saved, feeling my heart begin to speed up as someone banged on my chest. I felt the "energy" then too, as I was slowly being brought back. I saw flashes of light, that would appear one second and be gone the next. With every pound on my chest, the light would flare and echoy voices could be heard. Thats when I felt, what I could only dicribe to be "dark energy", spur to life inside me. The sensation wasn't completely foreign, it was like I had felt it before. Feeling the slight buzz in my fingertips, the sudden surge of adrenaline rushed threw my vains as I began to wake. Within a split second I was back, dazed and dizzy. Someone had saved me...had forced my heart to keep beating, had fed my lungs oxygen. The strangled breaths of air entering my lungs as the water hurled out. My eyes had fluttered open. A blurry red blob was all I could see...(which wasn't to far off from my normal 20/60 vision). After a while my eyes focused, thats when I saw him......."Kai". His face shown worry and relief as he intently stared at me, hands shaking and eyes glossy. I only had a moment to study his features. His muscular build, strong jawline, hair messy as beads of water dripped from the spiked strands. His thick eyebrows furrowed against amber eyes. Those were the thoughts that went through my head in my dazed state. Soon after, the hands of unconsciousness gripped me and dark speckles clouded my vision. Everything went black. I don't remember anything after that. When my mind came back to me, the memory had seemed to replay itself, while being stuck in my dream state. I was drifting in and out of awareness, but the darkness never left. All that could be heard was a slight ringing. I felt sick and my head began to hurt, but it wasnt unbearable...at least I didnt think so. It was more of a pressure that seemed to be getting stronger, to the point that my mind would go blank. While falling in and out of awarness, a voice caught my attention, somewhat pulling me back to my senses. My brain trying to decipher whether or not it was in fact real, as it kept getting louder and more panicked. Asking me whats wrong and telling me to wake up. After a moment I was able to feel my body agian and it was being jostled, rather violently. My mind went fuzzy for what felt like the tenth time. Then everything clicked into place, like a light switch that had been turned on, as the darkness ran for cover. One moment I was motionless in the dark, listening to a distant shout and the next, I was awake. My groggy vision caught sight of the fire ninja above me. He looked worried and.....horrified? Feeling instantly anxious upon seeing the look he was giving me, my heart began to pound loudly in my chest. I have a feeling there is so much more going on then I know.

All was well for most the night. Lloyd seemed content laying practically on me. His face snuggled in the crook of my neck, as if he was hidding from the rest of the world. I could feel his even breaths and his soft and fluffy hair tickling my nose, I didn't mind though. Lloyd actually looked genuinely happy, for the first time...ever. He sought comfort in me. Even if he wasn't awake and fully conscious, he didnt fight me or push away, but held on to me. I cant help but feel proud of myself for being the one he leans towards. I was gaining his trust and he felt safe enough with me to be in such a vulnerable position. It had taken me a while before I had finally dozed off. The attack lasted a lot longer then we thought and by the time I had gotten Lloyd safe and warm, it was around 6 o'clock. I must admit, I really enjoyed him being next to me. He was the perfect size to cuddle. His small form fit well in my arms and it kept us both warm. I felt less ...lonely. It was nice to have someone so close in more of an intimate way. Not in the sexual sense or anything like that, but more of the emotional. Ill admit that I care deeply for Lloyd and having that comfortability with him, makes me feel a way that I haven't felt before. I've been with quite a few women in the past, both sexually and emotionally. They were wonderful people, dont get me wrong, but we were always missing something together. The flame just wouldn't light, so I had taken a break from all of it. The feeling I have with Lloyd is something I never had with any of them. Maybe I do ...love him.
Despite everything that had happened the day before, it was one of the best night sleeps I've had in a long while. Everything was peaceful through most the night, until around 4 in the morning. I woke up to Lloyd stirring in his sleep. At first I thought he was just adjusting to get comfortable, but his wiggling continued. I looked over at his face, which was still visible with the light from the moon outside. He looked so distraught. His eye's were closed tightly, his lip quivering as his breathing became more rapid and sloppy. He became very tense, his small knuckles turned white from gripping the sheet.
"Lloyd?.....Lloyd?! Whats wrong?! Come on..you need to wake up, you're dreaming. Its not real". I try, but it wasnt working, I couldnt get to him. His breathing quickly turned into gasping, as he grew more and more frantic. He was muttering things in his sleep that I couldn't understand. Hell, I wasnt even sure if it was English, it was so jumbled. He began tossing and turning, shaking his head. Almost as if he was fighting some unknown foe.
"Lloyd! Wake up!! Its not real, you need to snap out of this!" I was shaking him at this point, unclear of whether it was helping or worsening the situation. His mumbling turned into cries before he let out a heart-wrenching scream. It was a shriek of pain, like he was being ripped apart from the inside. Something wasnt right, the atmosphere felt heavy, even the room grew darker. It seemed to amplify the more Lloyd got upset.
"Lloyd!! ....LLOYD!!" I shouted, as I held his shoulders and shook him hard. His head fell back, going completely limp and motionless, but he had stoped screaming. "Hey, hey, hey...come on, you're alright". I say, while I lightly tapped his cheek with my hand, until I saw the red and green orbs begin to open. I expected a struggle, for him to be spastic, hysterical or afraid, having just gone threw some horrid night terror, but instead he just looked confused and rather weak. Like he had forgotten it all. I wasnt sure whether to feel relieved that he wasn't upset or more concerned at the fact he didnt seem to acknowledge his nightmare.
"Lloyd are you okay?!" I slowly pulled him into a sitting position, while looking him over. Noticing the tear that had slipped down his cheek, making its home at the bottom of his chin. I quickly wiped it away, ridding the stain from his face. He was to dazed to be spooked by the sudden contact. Swaying slightly, like he on the brink of passing out, his body being overly stressed.
"W-what? I dont understand. What happened?........are..you okay?" He asked confused, seeing my concerned expression.
"Do you not remember you're dream? You seemed really upset." I say softly, while placing a hand on his shoulder. Really upset was an understatement, he sounded like he was in agony. I had to wonder how he was unable to recall any of his nightmare, not to mention he had just been sleeping for 9 hours and he looked so grained of energy, like his body was undergoing something strenuous. This couldn't be an ordinary dream. His eyes glanced at my hand on his shoulder, still a little jumpy with the contact but didnt bother to move away from my touch. He didnt look too bothered by it and even if he was I dont think he would have the strength to move without falling.
"I dont know.....there really w-wasnt much to remember. It was just dark... thats it". He says, still trying to grasp what was happening. His words coming out quiet.
"You were...screaming". I say, looking him in the eye, as I rubbed circles on his shoulder with my thumb. His face held a lost expression, as he fiddled with his hands. Clasping and unclasping them, becoming fixated on them, until one moved up to his chest.
"I wasnt anywhere in my dream....there was just nothing. I felt something with me, but the force felt like it was ....apart of me. That's all I remember. I was in and out of awareness". Lloyd said, sounding unsure of himself. "I dont remember screaming...nothing was happening". He said. I was about to question him more but my eye cought sight of a thick and red liquid.
"Oh my gosh!....Lloyd you're bleeding!" I gasped as I saw the blood slowly drip from his nose. He moved his fingers up to touch the crimson liquid, as the blood stained his fingertips.
"Let me help you. We'll get you cleaned up and then ill take you to Sensei. He'll know what to do". I honestly felt more panicked then he looked. I held my hand out for him to take. Once they connected, worry The arose in me again. Im used to hot temperatures, me being the ninja of fire and all, I'm usually a little warmer then the rest of the team, but Lloyd shouldn't be as warm as he is. He was unnaturally warm. I quickly let got and put a forearm on his head.
"You're burning up", I say leaning down to pick him up. Lloyd didnt protest. I had the feeling he still felt weak, as he laid still in my arms, head resting in my chest. As quickly as possible, without shaking Lloyd to much, i made my way to the bathroom, setting him down on the sink. I had grabbed a cloth, wetting it slightly before gently placing it on Lloyd's bloody nose. Wipping away the red fluid that had collected all down his chin. It looked horrible, with the amount of blood that poured out you'd think he broke his nose. Lloyd took the rag and continued to clean his face while I started rummaging through the medicine cabinet. Finding the thermometer, I gently moved his hands and placed the stick in his parted lips. Lloyd looked surprised, while I was busy trying to keep a level head." With a 106° temperature making it hard not to worry, especially since it came out of nowhere. At the same time I didnt want to cause anymore panic.
Lloyd saw my distress, time beginning to catch up with him. He waved a hand at me, gaining my full attention. "I'm okay Kai. I think I'm just gonna take a shower to cool off", he said, doing his best to sound fine, but I could see right through his act.
"This is serious Lloyd. A 106 temp can be dangerous and you just had a chronic nosebleed. You're body is reacting to the stress." I say, folding my arms against my chest while looking at him. He gave me a sincere smile.
"I'm okay thanks to you. I've never had someone jump a puddle for me let alone into an ocean." He says, as his big red and green eyes look into mine. "Can I ask you something?" He says, sounding a little shy but the curiosity overthrowing it.
"Of course, I'm an open book. You can ask me anything." I say giving my best smile, hoping to get a reaction. My mind becoming more distracted by him speaking then the situation. As soon as he looked at my face, I could have sworn I saw a tint of pink flush his cheeks. A part of me hoped that it wasn't just the fever.
"Why did you risk you're life for me?" As he spoke, his eyes focused on everywhere except for my own." I-I mean I know you're a ninja, you're job being to protect overs, fight against evil and whatnot, but you cant save everyone, yet despite how risky it was, you put you're needs aside...for me. I'm the son of you're enemy....well, everyone's enemy. Why care what happens to me? Would the casualty be that great?" He had his eyes pointed at the ground as he spoke, again fiddling with his hands, until I reached out to hold them. What he said hit me like a tun of bricks. The sadness that was very evident in his voice made me want to hug him tightly, but also shake some sense into him. He doesnt believe he deserved to be saved?
"Now you listen to me Lloyd Garmadon," I say sternly. That caught his attention, making his head turn to face me. "You are not a burden. You deserve better and so much more then what you have received. I know you've been treated like trash. It shows in the way you carry yourself. You're afraid to speak out. You may view yourself as nothing but thats not what everyone else sees....that's certainly not what I see. You hide who you are, in fear of getting to close and being hurt. You're shy but not unimportant, small but not weak. Hell, seems to me you're one of the strongest people I've ever met. Having delt with so much in you're life but refusing to let yourself die. You got spunk kid, I can see it. Taking that leap to leave behind you're old life. Going toe to toe with a seven foot tall snake may have been gutsy and stupid....but it was also pretty sick. I can see a little bit of stubbornness, but believe me when I say that you are worth it. If I'm the first person to tell you that, just know that I won't be the last. You just dont see you're potential like I do." I spoke things I knew Lloyd needed to hear and i ment every word. Lloyd looked at me in complete shock. His eye's seemed to shine in the dimly lit bathroom. For a second all the stress and hurt, faded away. I didnt have time to react before I felt Lloyd leap forward, throwing his arms around my neck, engulfing me in a hug. He was on his tippy toes and I couldn't help but chuckle at his attempt to be taller. Wrapping my arms around his waste, I rested my chin on top of his head, as his face was barried in the crook of my neck, letting out small sniffles.
"Oh Lloyd....I didnt mean to upset you". I whisper into his light golden hair, pressing him against me. I made sure to be gentle because of his injuries.
"Upset??....how could I be?" He said pulling away and wiping his eyes. I tried to hide the fact that my face was going red. I must admit though....he looks hella cute in my sweater. Watching him for a couple of moments, I took note of the almost...dreamy look in his eye. I gave him another award winning smile, to which he slightly shook his head. Redirecting his eyes to everywhere but me, his cheeks flushed, seemingly embarrassed have been caught venturing into dream land. "That was he thinking about?"
"Oh umm...I apologize if I made you feel uncomfortable. You just...made me happy, truly happy for the first time in a long time. I cant thank you enough for that. Thanks for staying with me when I needed you". He said as he rubbed his arm. I smile down at him, giving his hair a ruffle.
"No problem kid".

Kai had left Lloyd to shower. After Lloyd had convinced him that he would be fine. Claiming that he was just shaken up a bit after yesterdays events. Lloyd couldn't quiet put his finger on it, but something was off...really off. He didnt want Kai to worry because he had seemed genuinely concerned by his condition, so he lied. Telling Kai that he has night paralysis frequently and that's what that was. Kai seemed to buy it and became a lot more relaxed. He left the bathroom but not before assuring Lloyd that if he needed anything, that all he had to do was call. As Lloyd stepped into the warm water, his thoughts began to melt, as he focused on the sound of the water.
(Lloyd pov)
I stood underneath the running water, occasionally sticking my head in the heavy fall that came from the shower head. It was much taller then me, so I didnt have to duck my head in order to soak my hair. It was relaxing, as I turned the water up to the highest degree without burning myself. I hate cold water, even though it would be beneficial right now, since I was supposed to be bringing down the fever not adding more heat. Putting comfortability before my health, I kept the water warm. The room wasnt cold, yet I was freezing. The steam was quickly fogging up the bathroom. It relaxed my lungs, my airway loosening. I stuck my face underneath the water, letting it run down my chin, taking small breaths on air through my mouth. The transparent liquid dripping off my lips as my mouth parted. My eyelashes felt heavy from the water steadily collecting on them, but I didnt bother to move my head, thats when my mind begain to wonder back to earlier. Yes, my dream was weird and if I didnt know any better id think something was breaking inside me, though id love to be able to pounder on the idea, my mind refuses too. I'm more focused on the detail of me waking up next to Kai. Wearing his warm, oversized sweater that probably fits him quite nicely. I try to ignore the feeling I get in my stomach when I think about it. That I actually liked wearing his shirt and how important I felt as he huged me. The way his hands gripped my waist, pulling me up against his body. I havent known him long, but its easy to tell what kind of person he is....brave, strong, loyal, cheeky, kinda hot-headed and that devilish smile makes me melt. Not to mention how tall and muscular he is.... yet gentle. If he really wanted to, he could break me in half, just with his arms alone. I mean he is a burly guy and I'd be lying if I said I didnt like the tattoos up his rigth arm. Oh my gosh...am I smitten over Kai?"
I was abruptly pulled out of my thoughts as my throat filled with water. Being so caught up in my own dream land, that was filled with envisions of the fire wielder, I did a big intake of water, having my face still underneath the spout. Pulling away, I coughed violently, shaking my head. Yeah...I have a fever all right. Fever of the mind. Was I falling for Kai? The more I thought about it, the realer it became. Looking back I never really had a thing for girls, though I was never raised around them, I still never pictured myself having a girlfriend. I have had crushes on some of the other boys at Darkley's, but when the started hurting me for fun because I bruised easy, all the puppy love went away. Not that I knew what love really was. My sexuality has never been a thought...until now. Deciding that that was enough thinking for one day, I quickly stepped out of the shower. The mirror was fogged up, but I didnt bother wipping away the condensation that had filmed over the glass. I didnt want to see myself, then again when do I ever. Taking the dark green towel Kai had given me, I wrapped it around myself, feeling cold again. The color looked foreign on me. Having mostly black clothing, I felt it was easier to hide because we all knew I was anything but menacing. Being small and quiet, while living in a school full of delinquents brought you alot of attention. Once I had warmed up a bit more, trying to ignore the memory of how warm Kai was, I made my way back to the room I was staying in.
(Kai pov)
After giving Lloyd his time to clean himself up, I found myself back on the couch with the rest of the team. They all had asked how Lloyd was doing. I reassured them that he was okay as he could be for the time being, after seeing the concerned looks they were all giving.
"You know, I gotta give the squirmy brat props for taking down that snake. I remember the first time we had to fight the Serpentine...Kai looked like he was gonna wet himself." Cole laughed.
"I believe that was you cole. I distinctively remember someone asking me to go first". I say rolling my eyes playfully, while giving Cole a smirk.
"I must agree with Cole-" Zane started but I had quickly cut him off.
"Wait what?! Come on, does no one remember me throwing the first punch, afterwards being thrown halfway across the building...or is it just me, seeing that I'm the one who suffered a concussion".
"I wasn't talking about the inability to hold ones bladder issue". Zane replied sounding slightly annoyed with our bickering.
"There wasnt an issue". Cole mumbled, as he sank into the couch.
"I agree that although what Lloyd did was not only unwise, with not having any training and with a success rate of 0.0001, his courage was quite impressive. I believe he has some moxie in him."
"Moxie? You mind speaking English Zane". Jay asked, as he rubbed his eyes with his palms.
"But I am speaking English. I can not make it any simpler." Zane said, the confusion coming through in his voice.
"Yeah you can...ive never even heard of that term?"
"Moxie: force of character, determination, or nerve". Zanes face became blank as he spoke. "Have I made it simple enough for you Jay"? Zane asks, his voice void of any sarcasm.
"Oh damn Zane, you dont even realize how bad you burned Jay just now". I burst out, as Jay scowled at me. I continued to laugh hysterically. Falling all over Cole, who was in tears from laughing as well. Zane just sat there, unaware of what was so funny and that he was the cause of it.
"Oh, ha ha. You're all comedians. Let's see if you all are laughing when I stick my foot right up you're a-" jay started to say but quickly stopped himself. We had been laughing so much that we hadnt noticed Lloyd had walked into the room. His big eyes bore into mine, as he gives a shy smile and waves. I had to suppress a smile, because everytime I look at him I cant help but admire how beautiful he is. His hair was still slightly wet from the shower and his nose and cheeks were tinted pink from the cool air touching the damp skin. He had his hands tucked deep in the pockets of his black, oversized, skeletal print sweatshirt. He wore dark skinny jeans that weren't too tight but huged his hips nicely. What surprised me even more was Sensei walking in behind him, looking pretty happy, in a stoic kind of way. Wu rested a hand on Lloyd's shoulder, his chest seemed to swell with pride. I wounder if Lloyd had gone to see him. Spotting the opportunity to get everyone together in more of a bonding situation, I quickly started pushing Cole over, since he was hogging most of the couch. Making a spot for Lloyd to sit next to me and for Sensei to sit next to his nephew. Lloyd gave a greatful smile and bowed his head to everyone.
"I haven't properly introduced myself, I'm Lloyd. I guess you could say I have a lot of ...trust issues, if you will, but I realize now that if I am to trust anyone...im glad its you all. I apologize for any inconveniences I've caused and hope I can make it up to you." As Lloyd spoke, I could see a literal glow in his eyes, his face shown so much admiration for us. My eye's lock with his for a second and I received a bright but shy smile. God, look at what he does to me. His voice is so soft and sweet. Its crazy to think that this is Garmadons son.
(No ones pov)
"There is absolutely no need for apologies, for you have done nothing wrong. I'm glad to see you are fairing well." Zane spoke up, looking to the rest of the team, as they all gave a smile of agreement. Their Sensei had turned to the four, giving a quick nod. Understanding the message, they all turned to talk amounts themselves while Wu turned towards the blond boy, who stood shyly by his side.
"It is good to have you here my dear nephew, but there is still the matter of where you have been. The person who had a hold of you, I can tell had been very violent. We cannot ignore this, if you dont tell us who hurt you then we cannot help and I will be forced to take you to see a therapist." Wu spoke softly, with sympathy for the young boy in his eyes.
"It was nothing....just a small mishap-"
"Noting about abuse is small. Do you not see how they have manipulated you into thinking that it was you're fault. Look at what they have done to you, physically and mentally. You flinch in fear when people get to close or move too quickly, dont you see how bad they hurt you emotionally?" Wu said trying to talk some sense into the boy. "Raise you're hand up nephew and feel you're cheek. Wu spoke, grabbing Lloyd's hand and bringing it up to the side of his face. The blond tensed at the contact, his uncle only shook his head, having proved what he said only mear seconds ago.
"Do you feel the stitches Lloyd, do you see the welts? You can try and convince me that it wasnt a big deal or that you did something to deserve to be hit, but that will never make it true. They have done you wrong.....you must see that." Wu let go of Lloyd's hand, but kept his eyes focused on the boy. Watching with sorrow in his eye's. Lloyd felt tears begining to form but he refused to let them fall. Not here, not in from of everyone.
"I understand" Lloyd said, blinking a couple times. Ridding the water from his eyes and he looked at the Sensei.
"Is there anyone here that you would feel comfortable talking with?" Wu spoke quietly, to keep the conversation out of the others ears. He may have been old but he was not blind. Wu saw the red and green eyes dart to the side, landing on the fire ninja before quickly looking away. Sensei smiled, knowing who Lloyd had looked at for that brief moment. He saw the pink that formed in his cheeks when the boys bright eyes landed on his student dressed in red. Kai may have been the hot headed one of the team, who was overconfident and could be rather cheeky, but Wu knew the fire ninja adored the boy. If he were to trust anyone with Lloyd's life, it would be Kai.
"Thank you sir-...I mean sensei." Lloyd said giving a greatful smile, still feeling a bit awkward.
(Lloyd pov / earlier that day)
Once I had gotten dressed, I may the decision to go speak with the Sensei or my uncle, feeling that it was necessary after everything that had happened. I had crept down the small hallway to the room I knew to be his. I took a much needed deep breath as I stood outside his door. I was incredibly nervous. After the panic I caused the day before I expected nothing less then a severe punishment for my negligence. Brushing my hair down with my hands, I peeked my head through the doorway. His face seemed to lift in surprise but didn't hold an expression of anger. He gave a nod of his head, gesturing me to come and sit with him. As I made my way towards him my hands shook. Sitting down directly across from him, I waited. I could feel his eyes on me, but I refused to look up. Anticipating foul words and insults to be thrown my way I bit my lip and sat still, but instead all I felt was a gentle pat on my head. Looking up surprised, a warm smile greeted me. I felt a wave of relief wash over me. There was a moment of peaceful quiet. The atmosphere was calm and the room smelt of tea and burning incense.
"Oh young one....you have nothing to fear." The Sensei spoke as he placed his hand back in his lap
"You seemed troubled....you're eyes give everything away. Though you may not look tired, you're body is weak, overworking itself."
"H-how did you-"
"I've been around a long time and seen many faces." Sensei said. There was a pause before I continued.
"Well I had an unusual dream last night...I cant really explain it. Do you think that may be the cause?" I ask, hoping for an answer to my question
"Perhaps...what was this said dream?"
"Thats just it....there wasn't much of anything. Nothing to see but darkness. I did feel a presence with me though, A presence I didn't recognize, but I think it was... me. I could feel it in my chest, like it was attached to my soul. I was still me but also something else." As I finished, Sensei just took a sip of his tea, before setting it down. He responded with a question.
"Did you know everyone has a purpose...written from birth. We all have a key role to play. You are to concerned with the unknown, you must learn to trust that Destiny will lead you on the write path." The wise man said while pouring another cup of tea.
" I just dont want to turn into my ....father." I say quietly, feeling ashamed. He just shakes his head.
"Do not worry child. You're father may lead the path of destruction, but that in no way means you will follow. You have a very pure spirit, I can feel it." He says placing a hand over my heart. "Destiny has a plan for you.....you just need the courage to follow it and judging by what I have seen, you'll have no problem doing just that." I couldnt help but smile, he was truly wise.
"Here, drink this. It will help with the muscle weakness and fever." He says handing me the cup of hot tea. I had no idea how he figured out about the fever, but I find its best not to question. The light smell of herb and spices tickled my nose. Blowing softly, the steam made patterns in the air. Once it was cooled down enough, I took a sip.
"Thank you Sensei Wu." I said as I placed the cup beside me. He nodded his head before standing up. I soon followed after.
"Now...why dont we go see what the others are doing. After the events from yesterday I think it would be good to go down to the city, a break from the stress. I do hope you agree to come dear nephew." He voice was unforceful. I gave him a smile bowing my head.
"Yes, of course. I wish to get to know you're team".
"I have no doubt, they feel the same." Sensei spoke, as he turned to walk out, me following close behind.

(No ones pov)
Lloyd had sat next to Kai on the couch, sitting pressed up against eachother, while the Destiny bounty began to descend towards the city. The contact wasnt awkward, having slept the whole night together in the same bed, unknown to the rest of the team. Kai had thrown his arm along the top of the couch, right above Lloyd. Being around the rest of the team, he didnt want to be to obvious about the attachment and overprotective feelings he had towards Lloyd in front of the others. Though Zane kept glancing his way, a warm smile plastered on his face. Kai was a bit uncomfortable with the look but said nothing. Sensei Wu was just happy to see all of his students getting along for more then an hour, without bickering. Seeing his nephew in a higher state of mind, filled the hole in his chest that had been there since the day Misako disappeared with him.
Kai stayed close to Lloyd as they walked threw the city. Sensei Wu had gone to see an old friend, planning to discuss the strange Serpentine attack and what they could have been after. Lloyd stayed tucked under kai's arm, keeping as much distance away from the strangers on the street. He'd come to trust the ninja but that was all. Especially since the last time he was out, people had given him dirty looks and he ended up with a shovel to the face. The team was dressed in more casual clothing, still keeping their masks draped around their necks just in case they were needed to mask their identity. All seemed fine, nothing too out of the ordinary except for how empty the streets were becoming.
"Anyone else find it odd that practically everyone scattered". Said Cole in a low tone. The others were catching on. The block they were on, that was once busy with life, had become barren within a matter of minutes.
"If we turn down the alleyway, it will be quicker making it back to Sensei. I sense something is off here." Zane was next to speak, analyzing the area carefully. Taking note in the fact that it had become unnaturally quiet. Lloyd felt uneasy, the hair on the back of his neck standing up. Focusing his eyes the best he could, he watched their surroundings intently. The anxiety in his chest becoming more and more apparent, his hands held a tingly sensation, but he ignored it. Kai had pulled Lloyd close to his side, in a protective manner, keeping the smaller boy under his arm. His gut had told him to prepare for anything, as they neared down the long alleyway, pulling over their masks.
"Can a guy not catch a break" jay whispered, clearly frustrated. His words were hushed but rang with aggravation. They were halfway between a slow walk and a fighting stance.
"Guys like us....its not likely" Kai responding, keeping a sharp eye on the blond. Noticing that his hands were clasped tightly in his sweatshirt. His head was glacing every direction, he jump at the slightest of sound. It was clear he was nervous and that only put Kai more on edge. Having Lloyd out here in the open left him vulnerable. Sure the ninja were there to protect him and Kai undoubtably would fry anyone who would try and hurt the smaller blond, but it still was dangerous. Kai gave a gentle squeeze on the youngers shoulder, trying to calm him. Which did help Lloyd just a bit.
"Weren't we just attacked yesterday, we're never this popular!"
"Jay, you're really bad at whispering you know that". Kai spoke matter of factly, giving Jay a glare.
"Well I'm sorry if my panicking is interrupting you're train of thought. I'm just worried by the fact that now everyone is after us because apparently we have some all powerful foreign object in our possession that we dont even know about!" Jay screeched, his speech pattern speading up. Kai just narrowed his eyes, loosing what little patients he had left.
"Dude, shut up...you're gonna blow our cover." Cole hushed, shoulder checking the ninja in blue.
"Cover?...HA! That's really funny. You know whoever they are have probably been watching us from the minute the streets died. We never had a cover to blow."
"With all this loud conversation, our percentage of making it out of the alleyway is dropping considerably". Zanes voice was monotone, but his face displayed a different emotion. One of aggravation.
"Who's idea was it to even go in the alleyway!"
"How do we even know somethings coming anyway. This is all based on some feeling". Cole spoke starting to sound a bit irritated. "Come on....we're ninja, its not like we cant defend ourselves."
"I thought that too, but the last attack really up our skills in perspective" Kai spoke as he cautiously walked, eyes scanning for any movement. He was on high alert, especially since Lloyd was there with them amd none of them had carried their weapons.
"How come they are able to sense this power source and we can't?" Asked jay, sounding sceptical.
"Well some members of the Serpentine tribes have the ability to search out power, along with Garmadon, we just havent attained that skill set yet. But I dont think its the serpentine who are here...if we indeed are being followed." Zane spoke quietly, gaining full attention from the others. Their faces becoming concerned.
"Who else could it be?"
"Anyone who is able to sense and read power...we have become tagets for everyone."
"We dont even have anything like that on the bounty and certainly not on hand with us now. This makes no sense," Cole argued. The five had stopped in the middle of the alley, talking amounts themselves about who this steathly foe was. Lloyd stepped away from the group, his eyes had spotted something on the roof. Though the image was extremely fuzzy, a figure could be make out. He took a couple steps towards the roof that the silhouette stood, trying to see if what he saw was really a person or a disfigured shadow, cast by whatever inanimate object was on the roof. Kai had been so absorbed in their conversation that he had taken his eyes off Lloyd. What Kai didnt realize is that the blond had strayed from his side, seemingly eyeing something. Lloyd squinted his eyes, attempting to see the object better, not like it ever helped. He was about to brush it off as nothing and walk back to Kai and the others when the figure moved. Lloyds eyes widened, realization kicking in and he opening his mouth to get the others attention, when suddenly he felt something heavy leap from the building, landing directly on him. His body hit the pavement hard, as the attacker held him in place. His knee made a loud pop noise and Lloyd let out a pained cry, attempting to stand but the man holding him was much bigger. Kai immediately flipped around, fire in his eye's as he saw the man on Lloyd. Before any of them could move, more masked men came flying off the roof with speed, tackling the four ninja. The weight hadnt hurt them as bad due to them being around the same size as the attackers, but Lloyd was much smaller and with zero training. They were completely powerless, knives held tightly to their throat, no one dared move.
"Search them....the power is here!" Said a tall figure, as he stepped out in the middle. His face was maskless, but carried many scars. Short messy hair, drapped over his eyes and a scruffy beard lined his chin.
"Names Ortega..we're so glad to finally meet you...aren't we boys". He shouted, gaining a couple malicious laughs.
"Look who decided to pay us a visit, the ninja....why dont we roll out the red carpet". Ortega sneered, giving a sick smile, while looking at the five on the ground. Kai had hatred in his eyes, he wasnt about to fail at protecting Lloyd again.
"My, my, my....who is this beauity. None ninja...good to know".
Ortega said while leaning down, leveling himself with the blond, who looked frightened and wanted more then anything to be in kai's arms. "Haha....I can work with blond." The eerie man licked his lips. "You know I do like them young." He whispered in Lloyd's ear, sending shivers down his spine, all while Kai cursed at him from behind.
"YOU TAKE YOU'RE FILTHY MITS OFF HIM NOW!!" Kai yelled, his voice echoing through the alley. "PLEASE!!" Kai pleaded, but all he got in return was a smirk.
"Im warning you...DO YOU HEAR ME!!"
"Scream all you want, no one is listening. You see, the people of this town know that if they cross us, their lives will be made a living hell...we run things down here. You're...how do you say it?...out of you're element." He turns his head back to Lloyd, who is thrashing like a madman trying to put distance between himself and the man who smelled of heavy alcohol.
"You know...ive been looking for another pet. My last one was just too disobedient,had to cut the relationship.....literally." Ortega said, his black eyes lingered over Lloyd's body. "What do you say....wanna be my little whore Blondie?" Lloyd's eyes widened in horror, blood running cold from shock and panic. Before he could even comprehend what was said, the man grabbed Lloyd's face and roughly smashed his foul tasting lips against his own.
"YOU JUST MADE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF YOU'RE LIFE!!! YOU DONT TOUCH HIM LIKE THAT, YOU CREEP!! YOU'RE FIGHTS WITH US...NOT HIM!!" Kai no longer cared that he had a knife against his throat. The man before him was getting handsy and he'd be damned if he just sat there watching while Lloyd was fondled ......or worse. The man continued, getting more rough. The blond let out a whimper, trying to move but was unable too, as he felt the mans tongue shoot down his throat, a hand reaching down and grabbing the younger below the belt.
"AHHHHHHH!!" Kai screamed, anger fueling his body and he pounced up, charging for Ortega, but before he could get to him, he was pinned down by 4 other men. His hands scratching at the ground, trying to get up as the men struggled to hold him. Kai sounded like an animal, letting out growls and shouts. He would not let this happen to Lloyd, they would not take the one he loved away from him. To abuse him in horrible ways all because they decided to walk in the city.
Lloyd whimpered and cried, trying to wiggle out of his suffocating grasp. Fear feeding his adrenaline and he fought harder. Nimble fingers managed to slip through the mans hand, freeing his arm. With one swift motion, Lloyd hit Ortega across the face as hard as he could. The man slowly turned his head back towards the blond, suddenly unamused. To add salt to the wound, Lloyd spit right in his face, feeling more angry then scared. The gruff man, just licked his lips, pausing before punching Lloyd in the nose. Blood spewed everywhere, tears forming in the boys eyes.
"Enough games....sit the red one up." He ordered. As soon as kai's head was lifted, his amber eyes fell on Lloyd. Seeing the blood soaked clothes.
"LLOYD!!! OH MY GOD!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM!!" Kai yelled but before he could say anything else, he felt a fist connect with his jaw.
"Where...*punch*...is...*punch*......
the....*punch*.....power...*punch*....
coming...*punch*...from!!" Ortega shouted, his words hissing through his yellow teeth. Kai just smirked up at him.
"Screw...you" the red ninja said, eyeing the man. The only thing that mattered to Kai was Lloyd and that he had directed his attention away from the blond. Although Kai hid it well, he was weak and wouldnt be able to sustain much more. Lloyds throat came out raspy, occasionally cutting out from being raw. The younger had been screaming the intire time. Tears ran down his face like a waterfall.
"LEAVE HIM ALONE....PLEASE!!" Lloyd screamed in desperation as he cried. The man simply looked to the weeping blond, before landing another hit on kai's face.
"STOP....LET HIM GO!! DONT TOUCH HIM!!" As Lloyd shouted, he felt his chest becoming tight and his hands beginning to tingle. He had ignored the feeling and kept fighting to get free, all while pleading for him to stop. Despite Lloyd's cries the man didnt stop, seemingly enjoying the cries. The younger began to shake, he was growing more and more upset. His insides burned and he became more forceful. Lloyd's eye's began to glow a deep red, eliminating his tear stained face. A dark shadow began to emanate from Lloyd, and it kept spreading. The alleyway becoming dark, despite the sun in the sky. The more upset Lloyd got, the darker the area became. Atmosphere so heavy, it became harder to breath. The smaller took one final breath before shouting again, but this time.. something else followed. Something that would change everything
"I SAID STOP!!" His voice high, but powerful, as it rang through the city. Thats when Lloyd snapped, the power that had been laying dormant, gradually getting stronger...the power that was seeked by all....the power that even Garmadon feared, was unleashed. Lloyds eyes shown bright in the dark, as a deep dark green energy shot out of his hands, throwing the man holding him down completely out of the alley, landing in a motionless lump in the street. The shadows Lloyd had unintentionally created seemed almost alive. They spread like a sickness, crawling up the remaining attackers. They screamed in pain, as if the shadow creatures were made of aicid. As soon as the power shot from his hands Lloyd instantly freaked.
"W-what's happening to me?! I didn't-" Lloyd said panicked, looking at his hands as if they weren't his own.
"Its him!! The power..I-its him!!" One of the men yelled, coming fourth to grab the trembling boy.
"No, no, no...stay back" Lloyd's voice trembled as he put his hands up, only to have the dark green energy burst through his fingertips, throwing the man backwards into the wall. More shadow being soon followed from Lloyd's hands. Kai had gotten up, stumbling towards Lloyd, noticing how shattered the boy looked. Lloyd was completely distraught.
"Lloyd, listen to me okay...eyes on me sweetheart.....thats it." Kai said, trying not to frighten him. "You need to calm down. Can you do that for me sweetheart?"
"No, no, Kai dont come any closer....I cant control it!" Lloyd cried, his hands beginning to glow once again. He was getting worked up, as he looked at the destruction being caused by him. "Please...I dont wanna hurt you"! He backed up in the corner.
"You wont hurt me Lloyd. The more upset you get, the more it will spike. Dont be afraid Lloyd...I'm right here. I won't ever leave you. Trust me". Kai said, looking Lloyd in the eye's, smiling softly at him.
(Kai pov)
I almost couldnt believe my eyes. Lloyd had powers unlike anything i have ever seen before. Was he the one they had been searching for...the one Garmadon could sense? Everyhting began to click as thoughts spun around in my head, until they all fell silent, all except for one. Was Lloyd the green ninja? I quickly dropped the thought though, all that mattered right now was Lloyd. He needed me, so I was gonna be there..no matter what. I had gotten up, making my way towards the kid. He sat on his knees, looking at his hands as his lungs heaved in air. I needed to calm him down, it was clear that his emotion effected his powers, it was something he could not control. Zane, Cole and Jay were busy fighting off the last of the attackers. Ortega had feld the scene completely, so It was up to me. Tackling his anxiety isnt an easy task, because its rooted deep. I couldn't imagine what he was feeling. Having literal dark energy explode from his hands. He looked completely rattled, I wanted to just hold him close. We've all had trobles with mastering our powers in the past, he needed to know that I wasn't going to leave him.
The more I talked with him, the calmer he became. The once pitch black atmosphere became a dark blue, I knew it was because he was sad. Since his powers are emotion based, he would have to learn to control them. Ignoring my achy jaw, i continued to gently talk to him, while reaching out. He was hesitant to take my hand, but I kept it out in front of me, staring into his eyes.
"Lloyd, take my hand. You'll be okay....keep you're eyes on me. That's it." Lloyd slowly walked towards me, the dark cloud following the steps he took, but he hadnt noticed because I had instructed him to only look at me. His fingertips touched mine, they were soft, small and pale. In that moment the word fell silent, all my eyes could see was Lloyd. The shadow storm that whipped around us had disappeared within mear seconds. The sky became light once again, as he lightly grabbed my hand for comfort. I gave it a gentle squeeze, while rubbing soothing circles on his small knuckles. Lloyd looked up at me, a small amount of dried blood stained just below his cute nose. "Kai, are you okay"? He asked, seeing my spit lip. The atmosphere grew heavy again, as he looked at me in worry. I knew I couldn't let him get upset again. The darkness had depleted once I assured him I was fine. "This is nothing, I've had plenty worse. I just want to know if you're okay. I saw what he did...how he grabbed you". My teeth clenched in my mouth, remembering the scene of the mans dirty hands roaming Lloyd's body. Seeing the red mark on his lips from where Ortega bit him harshly. "Its okay Kai....not a big deal." Lloyd said suddenly sounding weak. "It is too a big deal!! He hurt you, touched you. Who knows what other horrible things could have happened". I say, gently pulling his face up to meet my gaze, while I inspected him more. I flet sick at the thought of what could have happened. His breathing became slow, eyelids heavy with exhaustion. I noticed his hands shook as I held them and I instantly became worried. The concern showing on my face.
"Lloyd what's wrong!? Are you okay?!"
"Kai....I don't feel too well." He said, but before I could respond his knees buckled, eyes rolling to the back of his head. In a blink of an eye, Lloyd collapse in my arms. I held his limp form against me, I hugged him close. Bending down to lift him up and quickly ran to the others.
"GUYS!! SOMETHINGS WRONG WITH LLOYD!!" I called out to them as they all instantly came to my aid.
"He lost consciousness." I said, while brushing the bangs from his eyes.
"He's exhausted, all energy has completely left his body." Zane concluded as he put a hand on Lloyd's forehead. "He needs rest, other then that he'll be okay physically....but emotionally, it will take time."
"Come on guys, lets find sensei and get outta here". Cole mumbled to his team. "Want me to carry him Kai? You sure you're alright?" Cole questioned with an eyebrow raised.
"I'm fine...lets just get back to the bounty and quick, before any more psycho creeps show up". I spoke as I began walking back to the bounty.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had arrived back on the bounty, the only place that we were somewhat safe. Deciciding to put some distance between us and nearby cities until we could figure things out. I had taken Lloyd to his room to rest, making sure he was comfortable. I wanted to stay with him, the poor guy was twitching and whimpering in his sleep, but we needed to talk with Sensei. Clarification to what just happened would be nice. I gave him a small kiss on the forehead as I laid him down. "Its not like he would ever know right?" Taking one last glance at him, I couldn't help but notice the dark circles under his eyes. That power spike completely drained him, left him looking ill. Pulling the blanket over his shoulder, I quietly (even though I knew the sound of my footsteps couldnt wake him up at this point), made my way to the control room. The rest of the team had gathered there, waiting for Sensei's explanation. I took a seat next to Jay....big mistake.
"What the Heck was that!!" He screached in my ear and I fought the urge not to push him off his chair. Lets just say my tolerance level is pretty low in general, but right now its coasting just below nonexistent...which means my patience are shot.
"Ive seen many things in my time. The prophecy had foretold of this....but this story has a twist." Sensei Wu spoke, while stroking his beard. To be honest, it made me a bit nervous. Wu looked so intrigued, which was somewhat of a foreign sight, considering he's almost always prepared for anything.
"What do you mean sensei? Are you saying that the scolls predicted this?" Zane's robotic voice lay steadily in the room as he spoke. Sensei directed his attention towards us, coming to sit among his students.
"Yes, but not in the way one might think."
"What are you saying? Is Lloyd are next enemy... Are his powers a product of Garmadon?" Cole said, clearly concerned. Wu just sighed, shaking his head.
"Just because one is a little different does not mean they are ment to follow an unwise path. Lloyd may be the son of Garmadon, but that does not make him our enemy, nore does the fact he has abilities gifted to him by his father."
"Gifted or cursed" jay muttered, scratching the back of his neck. I shot him a look, but he didnt catch it.
"Let me tell you a story", said sensei, while poring himself a cup of tea, that somehow just appeared out of thin air.
"Great..another riddle to be solved." Jay spoke only to earn a quick bump to the head with Sensei's staff. "Ouch.... Okay okay. I'm listening", he said while rubbing his head.
"You may know Garmadon as the dark prince of the underworld, but thats not who he is...not inside. His heart has been corrupted, twisted and morphed...but he was not always the warlord we see." I could see the grief in his face as he spoke. It seemed like a hard topic to speak of, yet he continued on.
"What happened sensei. We wish to understand." Zane said, giving Wu his full attention as he usually did.
"A great many years ago, my brother was bitten.....bitten by a serpent that's fangs dripped poison of hatred. The Great Devourer. It could not be stopped or prevented...and that evil had slowly began to corrupt my brother, poisoning his heart."
"Garmadon had always been stubbornly..He had though he could fight it. Blinded by arrogance, he choose to ignore the signs that he was losing that battle within himself. This was a an infectuon of the heart and a disease of the brain, a sickness that could not be cured. Deep down I believed he knew it." Wu took a intake of air before he continued, keeping his face calm.
"I was losing my brother, and he was progressing faster each coming day.
But when he met Misako, the violent outbursts decreased. It had brought hope to my brother, but this tail isnt out of a story book. The evil did not leave because his heart filled with love for someone. She motivated him to try harder....to fight but it was not to be rid from his soul."
"Misako was three months pregnant when the darkness had almost fully taken over Garmadon's mind and body. There was still a piece of him left....one that knew he could not stay. Fearing he'd bring harm to Misako and his unborn child, he left. Even though he had gone, a part of him was still present within their home, the real him...it was the baby slowly growing in the womb."
"It was never expected for Lloyd to inherit his fathers abilities...but everything happens for a reason. Destiny does not make mistakes. Whether he wants it or not, this life has been chosen for him". Wu took a sip of his tea, eyes glancing at each of us.
"So ....then what does Destiny want exactly. The prophecy didnt speak of another person with dark elemental powers. What role is he ment to play." Cole suddenly spoke, breaaking the silence in the room. I thought for a second, mind going a million a minute. Cole didnt see what I did. The power was a dark green. It was a dark...energy. As soon as the thought had completely formed, I immediately shouted.
"Energy...he has the power of energy, I saw it." Everyones eyes were on me, so I lowered my voice. Sensei gave me a warm smile. I think he was starting to catch on to my feelings for his nephew, that is if he didnt already know from the beginning. "This is who the scoll speaks of....Lloyd is the one Destiny chose..isnt he?" I said looking to Wu, while the rest of the team watched awkwardly.
"How can he be the one? Not meaning that in a bad way...I'm just saying that the green ninja was supposed to be the light," Jay asked, only this time I'm the one who answered. It all made sense.
"Dont you see? There is a lesson to be tought here. We judge him based off his family history...the world outcasts him for being the son of Garmadon. In the end...he'll be the one to save us all. The darkness will show you the light. This is a different tail. He who hold the power of energy, also wields the power of destruction. It is how it should be...balanced. He will know how to use it for good and make it ....beautiful." The more I spoke, the more I felt like Sensei. They all looked at me in awe and I could see Wu's warm smile through his beard.
"How do you know for sure Kai? How can you be so curtain that he wont be corrupted just like Garmadon." Cole spoke, as I looked to him reassuringly.
"Because I know Lloyd. I see his heart, how sweet, innocent and kind he is. The universe chose us to protect him. It led us to him. Who am I to doubt Destiny." To be honest, I was proud and I was going to stick by his side. Lift him up when he falls, carry him when he's hurt. Because I do love Lloyd. I may not have said it out loud to anyone but I'm sure they knew...especially Zane and Sensei.
"Lloyd may have his fathers powers, but he does not have his dark heart. Lloyd can not change, only grow. With guidance he will be able to harness his abilities." Wu said after some time.
"That kind of magic comes from the Realm of Oni and Dragons, ....its very different then ours."
"What does that mean?" jay asked, as Nya roled her eyes playfully. Luckily Jay didnt notice.
Cole was quick to answer Jay's question, as he sat up more in his chair. "It means Lloyd plays by their rules. Up is down in the Realm of Oni. Physics mean nothing."
"Fantastic" jay muttered.
"But what are we supposed to do. He cant control his powers. What happens if he gets upset and accidentally explodes the ship or throws us in a black hole."
"Well as the leader of the team, I'd figured you'd know tue answer." Wu said, as Cole still gave him a confused look. Sensei took a deep breath before continuing. "You will train him, as he is one if us. Lloyd will need the help. His power is new, he will be much weaker then you four and his power will not always be there when he needs it, since his power comes from his emotion and can be easily burned out. Using too much at one time can leave him with none. They wont always work when he wants then to. That is why he needs you."
"How do we train him Sensei?..the power from which it originates is nothing like our realm. We can not harness destruction...how can we teach him when we know nothing about his abilities?" Zane chimed in. His question purely out of curiosity.
"Everything happens for a reason. If we were unable to fulfill the tast of training and keeping him safe then Destiny wouldnt have chosen us. He has our elements inside him, maybe a darker version, but he is the green ninja, whether he carries Garmadon's powers or not, he is our family. Lloyd will not be alone, if you guys wont help me then ill train him myself. Ill stand by his side no matter what. Ninja never quite. From the moment I laied eyes on him, I made a promise to protect him and if I die doing it, then so be it." I said a bit defensively. Everyone had a look of guilt, Zane was the first one to speak.
"Kai is right... Lloyd needs us. He is still healing physically and mentally. What would that make us if we left him to just break inside. We must be there for him."
"The poor little guy needs mentors and a little TLC. Ill gladly take on the big sister role...he is such a sweetheart." Nay said giddily.
"You know what. He did save our hyde's back there and the brats kinda grown on me." Said Cole, letting out a chuckle.
"Me too...Lloyd's a good kids, he's just been misunderstood. Although it was highly dangerous and we all could have lost our heads....it was still pretty cool I guess." Jay spoke at last. I looked to Sensei Wu and bowed my head, asking for permission to leave the room. To which he allowed, I think he knew where I was going in such a hurry, I just hope no one else caught it.
I was a bit surprised to see Lloyd awake when I entered the room. He look drained, his body racked with
fatigue. It was clear his powers would be absent for a while. I knew he was aware that I was in the room, even though he tried pretending he didnt see me. Keeping his head down, staring at his feet. He clearly wasnt in the mood to talk, so being the person that I am, I decided to talk to him anyway. Lloyd may not feel like chatting but things need to be said.
"Hello Kai". Lloyd finally spoke after figuring out that I wasnt going to leave. Sheesh, this kid can be stubborn, but theres no way im leaving him to deal with this alone.
"Look, I know you dont feel like talking right now but we have to. You're not allowing yourself to heal."
"How am a supposed to feel? As far as im concerned this seems like a rational response." Lloyd said, finally looking up.
"Lloyd I know you're afraid and confused..but trust me its all normal. You cant let it tear you down."
"Normal? I wouldnt say this is the most normal thing to happen". He huffs slightly, but shifted his hips over making room on the bed for me to sit. "Why me? As if everything wasn't complicated enough, Destiny throws this into the mix. I will never be free of this loop I'm caught in."
"What do you mean loop?"
"I'm not anybody....just little Lloyd Garmadon. Disappointment at its finest. A nobody who comes from a background of people to remember.
Abandoned at a school for delinquents by my mother who I have not heard from since I was four. Leaving me there to rot, with people to help speed the process. There was always one thing I could actually feel okay about...that I could count on, despite all the pain it caused, distributed by others. I could still go to sleep knowing that I was nothing like my good old dead-beat dad...even though I was thrown down for being too soft spoken. Now...now I'm just like him...and I hate it."
"Is that where you've been? She left you at a school?!
"Darkley's to be precise. They make it seem okay on the outside but within the walls holds a different story. One that isnt to be spoken of".
"They are the ones that hurt you...didnt they? They raised a hand to you?! THOSE STUPID BASTA-"
"Its okay Kai.... Its not a big deal. What's the point in getting upset now....it wont do any good."
"How can you say that?! Look at what they did to you. They BEAT you!
What they did is called ABUSE! And you're defending them!?
" in not defending them-"
"They throw you around...hit you repeatedly in the face, to the point you're damn eye bleeds from the inside. Grip their hands around you're throat so hard it leaves bruises that wont go away. Whip you're back with thick heavy belts." Lloyd immediately looks over at me in surprise. " yeah, I saw the lashes and I'm not an idiot. Its not the first time you've been hit with objects is it? They almost killed you and I can bet that wasnt the worst beating you've ever gotten. Abusers don't stop...and the effects dont just go away because you're away from them. You'll have physical scars on you're body...mental scars. I mean you flinch at the slightest movement of a hand
The worst part is that you sit and tell me that its not a big deal, and that it was you're fault....refuse any kind of justice for what they have done, then say you're not defending them."
"Cant you see that thats what they want you to think.....that it was always you're fault."
"Kai I-"
"You're a bad liar." As I said that Lloyd's glace dropped from his hands to the floor. Eyes looking anywhere but my face.
"You cant even look me in the eye's...because you know, what they did to you was abuse. You just dont want to admit it because you dont want there to be a scene." I said while staring straight at him. Lloyd never once looked up at me. I did feel bad for being so harsh on him. I know it wasn't easy for him to talk about, but I just got so frustrated. That he didn't see what I saw
"No matter what you say Lloyd. I'm making you a promise right now....you wont ever have to be afraid of me. I will never hurt you, EVER. I will say this though.....if I ever see those abusive pricks...and believe me I will...they wont stand a chance. Someone will have to pull me off of them because I wont be able to stop myself from killing them."
"I'm a pretty chill person, I can be laidback, but when someone messes with my family..." I say, giving a snap of my finger. " I'm lethal, ill light like a stick of Dynamite.
"And no one...and I mean NO ONE, messes with my boy." I gave Lloyd a warm smile, as he came to rest on my lap. I pulled him up, holding on to his waist, while he wraped his legs around my torso. We just sat there enjoying eachothers company. I almost though he was asleep until I felt him shift to look up at me. His soft pouty lips immediately catching my attention.
"Do you fear me?" He asks. His voice was serious and his eyes intense but also pleading.
"Of course not...why would you think something like that." I say a bit shocked by his question.
"Because I'm afraid of me...what I did back in the alley-"
"Saved us. Without you, we probably wouldnt have made it out. We were in a pretty tight situation."
"I almost killed you. I wouldnt be able to live with myself if I had hurt you." Lloyd had become quite weepy, I quickly started to rub his back, reassuringly.
"Hey...I don't want to hear things like that". You'll learn to control it...ill help you."
"You cant control what you dont understand. I am still me..I think but after this I'm not so sure. The one person I never wanted to be...and my magic is a replica. You fight to destroy one dark force and sleep next to the other."
"Its not like that.....I will never group you in the same." I say, Suddenly having an idea.
"What is you're name?"
"Kai what are-" Lloyd looks up puzzled. I just smile at him and he tilts his head to the side.
"Ah-ah-ah...what is you're name."
"Umm Lloyd." He says furrowing his brows in confusion.
"I cant hear you... What was it at in?" I chant.
" Lloyd", he says giving me a dull look.
"Say it one more time"
"Its Lloyd...is there a point to this?"
"Yes...but I think you're missing it."
"You're name is Lloyd...not The Warlord...not the Dark Prince..just Lloyd. You will never be the evil son of Garmadon...because thats not who you are...its simply not in you're kind nature." I say looking him in the face, my eyes counting the light freckles on his cheekbones.
"Thank you Kai, for Everyhting." He says, burying his face in the crock of my neck. Pressing his soft lips against my collar bone. The contact sent chills down my spine and to be honest......was a bit of a turn on."
"Of course, little moth." I spoke proudly.
"Moth?" He mutters slightly muddled.
"The moth symbolizes mystery and determination, darkness/light, and transformation. To draw you to the light, just as moths are drawn to the ligh. You have been in a dark place you're whole life, dealing with so much pain, but you always find the light. You seek it out in the darkest of times....and you've brought light to my life." I said, reaching my hand up to stroke his cheek gently with my thumb. Lloyd just looked at me in awe, mouth slightly parted.
"I hope you like the new nickname, because its staying". I say, giving him a smirk. Before I could say anything more. I felt a soft, warm pair of lips, gently collide with my own. I waisted no time in returning the kiss, gripping his waist in my arms, pulling him closer to me...even though he was fully sitting in my lap. His hands draped around the back of my neck as the kiss deepened. I sucked and bit gently on his bottom lip, earning a small noise of pleasure to escape through his wet lips. I knew I had to control myself, but it was becoming harder and harder to do so....litteraly. His lips tasted like sugar, as I glided my tongue acrossed the fragile skin. His white golden blonde locks smelt sweet. My hand trailing down Lloyd's side, coming to rest on his hip. He tilts his head to the side, as I run a hand through his long blonde hair. My body was heating up, as it often did when I became excited. His eyelashes tickled my face and boy did I want him. His skin was soft and delicate, unfortunately the moment had to come to an end, as we slowly pulled away. His lips were swollen from me nibbling on them. We were both breathing heavly, hair a wild mess. His eye's shown a deep maroon against a lime green.
"I take it you like the nickname". I smirk, sticking my tongue to the side slightly. He gives me a smile, while cocking a brow .
"Yeah... It's endearing". He says, his hips still seated on my lap. I pulls us down on the bed, not caring what time it was. He rests his head on my chest and I smooth my hand through his hair, all the way down till it rested on the small of his back. Lloyds eyes began go flutter closed, as did mine.
We're okay.
I originally wasn't going to have them kiss in this chapter. That whole scene was completely spontaneous. I just figured that it was a pretty ok time to do it after coming towards the end of this chapter. It needed a little heat.
