Broken-hearted Heartbreaker

I was sitting with my friend once again
The friend who's more a like a brother to me
Maybe even more than my actual brother
The one I never intented to hurt

We were sitting in my favorite café
He paid for my coffee cause I had no money
It was so spontaneous and so funny
Although they say no money no fun

And I felt bad for wanting you
To sit there with me instead of him
To laugh at my stupid jokes
Looking at me with those ocean eyes

His jean jacket was just the same color
As the eyes I wish would be looking at me
And it reminded me how sad I can be
Even with the right company

And he looked at me and then at my coffee
A big cup of latté with caramel flavor
And told me how gladly he did this favor
And payed for my caffeine refill

And then he laughed and told me
That he'd do it everyday
That he doesn't need the money anyway
That he only wants me to be happy

And I looked at his sky-blue eyes
Those eyes any girl but me would fall for
Those eyes who knew about your eyes so much
Although they never looked into them

He knows about you just from me
Because I always tell him my dreams
And he knows about your ocean eyes
So similar to his which match the skies

And I looked at his smile again
And wondered if you talk about me with your friends
Just as much as I talk about you
To this boy who paid for my coffee

He opened his mouth and told me
What I needed to hear
"You have beautiful eyes baby
I'm pretty sure he'll fall for you if you two meet."

"I know he will," I said and smiled
"Although I don't know how
But I feel that he likes coffee girls
And that's all I am." I finished and he grinned.

"Your eyes are the color of your latté."
He kind of blushed and looked away
"Perhaps he only drinks this coffee
Just to see your eyes in his drink."

"I wish he was," I smiled at him
But he was shyly looking away
And than turned his head
And I saw he was criing

"What's going on?" I asked carefully
I didn't expect him to grab my hand
And neither to look straight into my eyes
And whisper those words I was so afraid he'll say

"I'm here for you every day of your life
I could be kissing you when the sun rises
And it hurts me that you talk about him
The boy with a tattoo and blue eyes

I dream about you all the time
And I know you know it for a while
So why do you pretend you don't see
How happy you and me could be?

So why are you waiting for that guy
A guy with a tattoo on his arm
Why are you loyal to that dream
And don't give a chance to you and me?"

I guess you understand what this one is about. Yes, it's about my good friend who fell in love with me and already hates the boy I love although they've never met. By the way I think I'll change the name of this book to "Palm Tree Tattoo" because every single poem I write kind of is about the boy or my bestie who also got a palm tree tattoo but different and on her ankle. By the way, I'll probably start a new poetry book about characters from greek myths. If you're interested, check out my profile. First part is gonna be there in few days - as soon as I finish the book cover.
That's what I need to say tonight.
Thank you for reading this.
Love,
S. D.
