Rainbow hissed in pain. She squeezed Applejack's hand tightly for a few seconds.

"Oww".

Applejack rubbed her arm comfortingly. She looked at Twilight who sitting behind Rainbow Dash, cleaning the lashes on Rainbow's back. They were pretty nasty. Twilight was using her magic to lessen the pain. She even knew a spell that would heal Rainbow completely. Only scars would remain.

Twilight put her hands down and smiled.

"Finished".

Rainbow relaxed, though not too much because of the pain. Her back was torn up and just moving the slightest bit hurt like hell. Twilight had disinfected and patched her up so it could heal. Rainbow squeezed Applejack's hand again when a bolt of pain shot up her back. She tensed up, her eyes squeezed shut.

Rainbow Dash felt a hand rubbing her arm. Peeking with one eye, she saw Applejack looking at her. She opened her other eye and looked at Applejack.

"Thanks", she managed to force out to her friend.

Applejack gave a short nod in response.

"Let's get chur shirt back on", she said.

Suddenly Rainbow felt a poke on her stomach, making her jump. She turned her head. Pinkie was staring at her stomach. Rainbow looked down. Pinkie's finger was still touching her stomach. Looking up, she covered her stomach with her arms. She felt insecure when people looked at her when her body was exposed.

"Um Pinkie??. What are you doing??", she asked.

"I didn't know you had abs", Pinkie replied.

Rainbow snickered.

"Well I do work out", she said. "Gotta stay fit for soccer and all the sports I play at school".

Rainbow made a muscle with her arm. She smirked.

"I know", she said. "These bad boys are quite impressive".

Rainbow looked at Applejack.

"You know you want to", she said, wiggling her eyebrows playfully.

Applejack laughed softly. She reached out and squeezed Rainbow's bicep. To her surprise, it was solid. Rainbow actually had some muscle on her skinny little body.

"Wow. Rainbow", Applejack said. "Ya actually have muscle. And here ah thought you were a skinny little stick".

Applejack pulled her hand away. She smirked.

"But ah'm still stronger than you".

Rainbow rolled her eyes. "I'm way faster than you, though".

"That's true", Applejack said. "You're on the track team after all".

Rainbow nodded.

"To be honest, sports and school is the only reason my dad willingly lets me out of the house", she said.

The girls' faces fell at the mention of her dad. Rainbow felt an awkwardness in the air. She shrunk back, her eyes on the floor.

"Sorry".

Applejack looked around. She decided to break the tension.

"You must be exhausted", she said. "You need ta sleep it off".

Right on cue, Rainbow yawned. Her eyelids drooped a bit.

"I think you're right".

"Coarse ah am", AJ said, smirking.

Applejack wrapped her arm around Rainbow's shoulders, careful of the lashes. Rainbow scooted over. Resting her head on Applejack's shoulder, she closed her eyes.

"I wanna sleep".

"Good idea", Applejack said. "You should get alot of rest. Celestia knows ya need it".

In minutes Rainbow was in her bed, snuggled up to Applejack. The lights had been turned off. The others left the two alone. Rainbow had her head on Applejack's chest, her arm draped on her. Applejack had her arms around Rainbow.

It was quiet and all was calm and still. The only sound was their soft breathing. Applejack stayed awake. The events of earlier came to her mind. Poor Rainbow.

Suddenly a thought came to her mind.

Why wasn't Rainbow going to the police about this??. Why weren't the girls going to the police??. Rainbow would probably deny anything the girls would tell the police so that idea was gone for now.

All Applejack could do for now was keep Rainbow happy and safe and distracted. She couldn't take Rainbow away from her home. Her father would look for her and the girls didn't think that'd end well. Especially for Rainbow Dash if the man got his hands on her.

Applejack sighed. Why did this situation have to be so complicated??. They could just go to the police and get this all taken care of, but they had to think of the aftermath.

Rainbow would be put into the fostercare system and she'd most likely wouldn't be the same after. Some foster teens never find a forever home and that creates more mental issues for them than there already was. Applejack didn't want to put Rainbow through all that trauma and pain.

Why was Rainbow's life so horrible??. Who knows what's running through the poor girl's head??. Probably nothing good.

A sob snapped Applejack out of her thoughts. She realized Rainbow was shaking, quiet sobs heard in the quiet.

"Rainbow??. Are you alright??".

Rainbow shook her head. She continued to cry. Applejack did her best to comfort her friend. Rainbow hugged her.

"It's not fair".

"What isn't??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow sniffled. "Everything. I just can't do this anymore".

What did she mean by that??. Can't do what??. Getting abused?? Being in this situation??. Life??.

"Can't do what??".

Rainbow sniffled and pulled away. The two sat up. Applejack could just barely see Rainbow's face. Rainbow shrugged.

"I don't wanna live anymore, AJ. I wanna die".

Rainbow had said it with all certainty and seriousness. She was telling the truth.

Applejack was shocked at her statement. Rainbow looked at her hands. She sniffled and wiped her tears away.

"That's just how I feel", she said quietly. "I just don't see a need to be alive if my life is nothing but hell".

Rainbow looked at her.

"But I'm gonna keep trying", she said. "You know why?".

"Why?", Applejack asked.

Rainbow gave a small grin.

"You're here with me so I have something that's good in my life".

Rainbow took her hand. Applejack smiled. She didn't know what to say. How do you respond to being told that you're the reason someone hasn't killed themselves by now??.

"That means alot", she said "It really does".

Rainbow's smile fell. She seemed to be thinking.

"AJ??", she said, her voice small and shy.

"Yes??".

"I'm sorry for dragging you into this mess", Rainbow said. "I never wanted you guys to get tangled into this. I was supposed to do this alone. Completely alone. But since you do know, at least I don't have to hide anything from you guys. Now you know why I had bruises on me. Now you know why I always wore my hoodie indoors and why I always seemed to be in pain whenever Pinkie hugs me. It's because of the bruises".

Applejack gave her hand a gentle squeeze.

"Ah still think ah should get the opportunity ta kill yir dad in his sleep".

The two giggled at the thought. Rainbow smiled.

"That'll be the day", she said. "I wish it was that easy".

Applejack nodded. "Me too".

Rainbow sighed. She looked at her lap. Applejack watched her face fall to sadness.

"Hey", she said. "C'mon. Smile".

Rainbow smiled at just her words. She looked up at Applejack.

Applejack smiled.

"There's that beautiful smile ah love so much".

Rainbow giggled. She winced in pain. Applejack rubbed her thumb over Rainbow's hand gently. Rainbow looked at her, her face relaxing. The two stared at eachother for a moment.

Applejack had to fight the urge to kiss her. She wanted to so badly.

"Hey um Applejack", Rainbow said. "Can I ask you something??".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah".

It was quiet for a few seconds. Rainbow looked unsure of herself.

"What........ Ever since that kiss....... um...... you meant it, right??".

Applejack didn't expect that question.

"Yeah. Ah did. And?".

"And", Rainbow continued. "Well um......... so you like me??. As in more than a friend??".

Applejack felt her cheeks heat up. She was thankful that it was dark in the room so Rainbow didn't see her obviously red face.

"Yeah. Ah've liked you fir a while now".

Rainbow smiled. "Really??".

Applejack nodded. "Yup. Do you like me back??".

It was quiet.

"Yeah".

Applejack felt her heart doing flips.

"Didn't see that comin'", she said, chuckling.

Rainbow nodded. "So um..... Are we.....".

"A thing??", Applejack finished.

Rainbow nodded, biting her bottom lip. "Yeah. Are we??".

Applejack thought for a moment.

"Do ya think you can handle bein' in a relationship right now??. With everythin goin' on in yir life, ah don't wanna add any more pressure on you".

Rainbow smiled. "Trust me", she said. "You make it all better for me. You take the pressure away, not add on to it. All I need is for you to ask me a certain question".

Applejack was so excited. She was always getting the opportunity to ask Rainbow out. She was gonna take it.

"Will you be mah girlfriend??".

Rainbow giggled. "Yeah".

Rainbow hugged Applejack, smiling widely.

"You won't believe how long I've been waiting for this moment to come. I thought I'd never have a chance with you. I mean with everything in my life going horribly wrong, I never in my life thought something good could happen to me".

Applejack kissed her cheek.

"Well Ah'm glad ah make you happy. That's what ah live ta do. Make you happy and keep you safe".

Rainbow felt an arm snake around her waist. She yawned suddenly. She blinked. She suddenly felt exhausted.

"Man", she said. "I need sleep".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah ya do. You've been through a lot today. Get some rest".

Rainbow and Applejack laid down. Rainbow flipped over so her back was to Applejack. She felt an arm snake around her waist. Rainbow tangled their fingers loosely. She smiled.

Finally her life took a turn for the good. Only one thing could make this any better.

"Hey Rainbow".

Rainbow's eyes widened. "Yeah?".

"Sit up and look at me fir a moment".

Her voice was a little distant, so Rainbow knew Applejack had sat up. Applejack helped her sit up. Rainbow faced her.

"Yeah?".

Rainbow felt hands on the sides of her cheeks then lips on hers. She tensed in shock. Rainbow's eyes widened. This wasn't happening. Rainbow slowly relaxed. Rainbow kissed back, her eyes closed. One of her hands gently rested on Applejack's left arm, the other on top of her right hand that was caressing her cheek. Rainbow was now on cloud nine.

The two teens got comfortable. They kissed for a while. They didn't know how long but it was a long one. Applejack held Rainbow's head in place firmly yet gently. The kiss was soft yet tender and amazing.

Applejack pulled away, out of breath. The two panted softly. They looked at eachother.

"Wow", Rainbow laughed quietly. "That was.......... awesome".

Applejack laughed. "Yeah. It was".

Rainbow grinned. "Never thought my first kiss would be in the dark".

Applejack was a little shocked. Her first kiss??.

"That was yir first kiss?", she asked.

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. I loved it".

Applejack chuckled. "That's great ta know".

Applejack smiled. She had an idea.

"Ah'm gonna take you somewhere", she said.

Rainbow raised an eyebrow. "Where??".

"The skating rink".

Rainbow gasped. "Really??. Oh thank you".

Rainbow hugged Applejack, smiling brightly. Applejack smiled.

"No problem. It'll be like a date".

Rainbow pulled away.

"You're already the best girlfriend ever in the whole wide world".

Applejack poked her nose.

"Good. Then ah'll keep bein' awesome".

Rainbow kissed her cheek. "Yes you will".

So yeah. I'm going to be updating this book first. I might not be able to finish it this summer but I'll be updating it nearly everyday if I get the chance. I hope you liked this. Comment what you guys thought of this :)
