Rainbow's POV:

We walk into the main hall. I spotted a piece of paper taped to the supply closet door. Walking over to it I took it off and under it. It was my chores list. It unraveled.

"What??".

This list was half my height. I sigh. Better get started. I look at the floor. It needed to be scrubbed.

"The living room is that way", I said pointing to a door.

"There's also a movie theater down the hall if you guys wanna watch a movie, you can".

I walked over to the supply closet. Opening it, I took out a pail, soap, and a rag. Turning around I push the door shut with my foot and walked past my friends and into the kitchen. It was just as nice as the rest of the hurse. Marble counter, tiled floor. Though no doubt it needed to be cleaned.

Walking over to the sink, I out the bucket in and flip the water on. I sighed and leaned on the counter. It was half way full when I turned it off.

Carrying it back out I saw the girls still standing there. They hadn't left which I thought was weird. Why would they want to stick around??. I saw Twilight holding a book. Not surprising.

I knelt down, taking the soap, and squeezed it into the water. I mixed it up and and grabbed the rag. Dunking it in, I began to wash the marble floor.

After a little while I look up at my friends. I felt totally embarrassed that they had to see me stoop down to a servant figure.

I look down at the floor and keep scrubbing. I hate this. Can't my dad have bought a mop. I guess he just likes to see me lower than him and make him seem like the master or something stupid like that...... but.....whatever.

"Allios cantrion mentros".

I look up at my friends. They were holding hands. Suddenly they were levitating. Huh??.

"Uhhh".

I watch them as they floated like 10 feet off the ground.

Twilight looked at me. She must've seen the confusion on my face.

"Since you don't need us in the way, we'll just hang around up here".

Well okay then.

"This is so cool!!", Pinkie yelled.

"You know", I said. "You don't have to be here with me the entire time. This will take a while".

"We're staying anyways", Rarity said matter of factly.

I smile and get back to work.

"Thanks".

They really were the best.

As I scrubbed the floor I started to hum. I hadn't gotten much done. This would take forever. My arms and back were killing me.

"What cha hummin there sugarcube??", I heard Applejack ask from above.

"Just a song from a cinderella movie. I think it's ironic because she was singing it while doing the same thing I'm doing. Scrubbing the floor. I think the song goes great with this situation".

I laugh a little.

"Can you sing it to us??", Twilight said. "We'd love to hear you".

"Yeah!!", Pinkie said smiling.

The others nodded. I kept scrubbing and look at the floor.

"Sure".

It was quiet.

"Oh sing sweet nightingale. Sing sweet nightingale. Hiiiigh abooove. Oh sing sweet nightingale. Sing sweet,  nightingaaaale".

I dunked the rag into the bucket and kept scrubbing, moving the bucket as moved to another area.

I heard clapping. Looking up I saw the girls smiling and clapping. I felt my face heat up. I laugh a little.

"That was very nice", Fluttershy said.
"You're a great singer".

"Thanks", I said.

I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and keep cleaning. I suddenly slowed down until I stopped. I looked down at the bucket and then the rag. I sighed sadly.

"I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!"

I nearly jump out of my skin. Looking up I see Rarity standing up straight, hands on her hips.

"Geez Rarity", I said. "Are you trying to kill me??".

"I simply cannot just sit here any longer while you're working your tail off".

I smiled gently.

"I'm fine Rarity. It's no trouble at all. I'm use to it".

Rarity wasn't convinced by the look on her face. I looked at Twilight.

"Put me down", she demanded.

Twilight zapped her with her magic. Rarity slowly floated down to the floor. She put her bracelets in her pocket and walked over to the supply closet.

Rarity took out a rag.

"Are you sure you want to??", I ask. "I'm fine doing it alone".

She smiled and kneeled down near me.

"It's no trouble at all darling", she said dunking the rag into the soapy water.

Soon Applejack came down as well, then all of the girls had come down. It was much faster. I look around at the finished floor with a smile.

"Thanks guys".

Applejack placed her elbow on my shoulder.

"No problem RD. Anythin fir you".

I blush and look away, hoping she didn't notice. Taking out the list.

"Okay. We have more rooms. To scrub".

I check the time. 8:34pm.

Man. It was getting late. I picked up the bucket. I led them into the piano room. Rarity flicked the light on.

I look around. The room had picture frames and small glass statues here and there on shelves. There was a piano. Hence the name piano room.

I didn't play it much. Only when my dad wasn't in town. It used to be my mom's.

"Let's get scrubbin", I say kneeling.

We get started on the floor. It was about 40 minutes later that we finished. Rarity had cleaned all the little figurines and the glass stuff.

It wasn't a big room. Just big enough.
"Uh Rainbow Dash??".

Turning my head I saw Fluttershy looking at the piano.

"Yeah??".

She looked at me. "The piano is kinda dusty".

I stood up and walk over to the piano. The dark wood was fogged with dust. She was right.

I grab my rag and walk out. I found the closet and open it. Looking around I found the wood cleaning spray thing. Closing it I walk back down the hall.

I spent some time cleaning it up. I cleaned the top, the legs, the under hood, and the keys. When I was finished, I look at the clock on the wall.

9:46.

My stomach growled. It has been all day but it wasn't as loud as it was now. The girls looked at me.

"You guys hungry??", I asked.

They nodded.

"Follow me".

We head out and down the hall, putting the stuff back. We walked up the grand staircase and down the hall. We came into the kitchen.

"Fancy", I heard Applejack said.

I made a snack and served the girls. I leaned against the wall, playing with my shirt.

"Uh Rainbow??".

I look up at the girls. They were all looking at me. I raise an questioning eyebrow.

"Ain't chu gunna eat with us??", Applejack asked.

"Oh".

I laugh and walk over to them.

"I'm just so use to serving my dad. Whenever he eats I only serve him and I have to wait for him to be finished before I eat".

I grab a sandwich and bite into it. I didn't realize how hungry I was until now. This tasted great.

I gobbled up my sandwich quickly.

"You guys want something to drink??".

"Sure", Twilight said.

I get a some juice out of the fridge and some cups.

I pour them their drinks and then myself. Once we eat, I stood up and yawned.

"We better get to sleep", I say. "I have a ton of work to do tomorrow. I'll show you to my room".

"Don't cha mean we??", Applejack asked.

She crossed her arms.

"We're helpin ya out tomorrow. No buts".

I sighed. "Fine".

I put the cups and plate in the already partially filled sink. I lead them down the hall and upstairs. Opening a door we walk in and turn the light on.

The girls look around.

"This is.......".

I look at Rarity.

"I know. It's not anywhere near as good as the rest of my house. But it has a bed".

Rarity rubbed her arms.

"Why is it freezing in here??".

I shrug and smile softly. "It's always been like that. Thank goodness the blankets are thick".

"Do you mind if we teleport home real quick to get dressed and get some stuff??", Twilight asked.

I shake my head. "No problem".

I watched them hold hands. They dissappeared in a spark of light, making me blink. They were gone.

"That was cool", I said to noone.

It turn and get the bed ready. I pull out a smaller bunk bed from underneath mine. It was was big enough for two of them to fit.

Sighing I stand up. The girls should be okay with this.

"Rainbow??".

I turn around and saw the girls standing there. They looked worried.

"Are you okay??",Twilight asked.

I nod. "I'm good".

"I'm fine you're ever not okay", Applejack said. "Come find m- I mean us. Okay??".

It sounded like Applejack wanted to say come find me but I wasn't sure. I just forgot about it.

The girls each had a backpack. They were in there pjs. I smiled.

"Well uh. I have them beds. Hope you mind sharing it. But it a queen queen size. Plus a bunk on the bottom.

"It's perfect", Twilight said.

I smile. "Well. Here's how it'll be. Three on my bed and two on the smaller bed".

"But there's six of us", Applejack said.

"I know", I said.

I walk over to my closet and take out a pillow, a blanket and a sweater. Walking over to the corner I lay the blanket down and the plop the pillow down.

"I'll sleep on the floor".

It seemed like all five of their mouths fell open at the same time. I looked around at them. My eyes went back to Twilight, who was walking towards me. I didn't say anything.

"Rainbow. I don't think that's a good idea", she said. "Are you sure you should sleep on the floor??".

I shrug and smile. "I'm use to it. I'll be fine. C'mon. We have a long day tomorrow".

The girls put their phones to charge. There were alot of places to plug in the their chargers in this house.

They got into bed, the lights turned off. I laid down on my cot and closed my eyes.

-No one's POV-

Rainbow curled up, trying to get some form of warmth from her torn up sweater. The clothing provided little help to her already uncomfortable sleeping place. The cold wrapped around her and bit at any exposed skin.

Her teeth began to chatter.

The girls were watching the whole thing. They looked at eachother through the dark. They all agreed without having to say a word.

Applejack got out of bed and made her way over to the girl. The air felt like ice to her exposed skin. She could only imagine what Rainbow was feeling.

She knelt by the the shivering teen.

"Rainbow??", she said not so quietly.

All the girls were awake so she didn't need to whisper. Rainbow opened her eyes wnd turned her body to look at Applejack.

"Applejack??. Why are you awake??".

Applejack touched her arm. She gasped and pulled away.

"You're freezin. C'mon. You'll sleep with us and don't argue".

Rainbow was pulled up to her feet. Now uncurled, Rainbow was frozen in place by the cold. She shivered immensely. Applejack guided her to the bed.

The two got into the bed. Rainbow was surprised to feel that there was enough space for them all.

She laid down at the end of the bed. Applejack pulled the blanket up and laid down. She wrapped an arm around Rainbow's waist. Rainbow snuggled into her warm body. Applejack felt Rainbow's head on her chest.

"Ah'll keep ya warm", she whispered in Rainbow's ear. She kissed her head.
The girls all fell asleep. Two in particular, very happy where they were.
