You leaned forward as you brought your other hand up to his cheek. You didn't even know the feeling but you loved it, you felt safe as he was by your side, no matter that he was a ghoul, you still loved him. The action you were about to do terrified you and it could affect your life greatly, but you couldn't help it, you wanted it to happen as you couldn't resist. Soon enough your lips meet his soft cold ones and it sent chills down your spin. Kaneki just stood there for a moment processing the action, but soon enough he gave in wrapping his strong arms around you pulling you closer than before your body pressed up against his. You noticed that Kaneki being a ghoul had changed him, a lot. He was much stronger than before and it made you feel even more safe to be with him. He started to kiss you passionately and with lust. Until he stopped. The warm feeling of his lips on yours was gone and it made you feel empty. You opened your eyes and noticed that Kaneki was against the wall panting, his eye more intense than before. He clenched his fists and looked down. You began to get worried. "S-sorry, i d-didn't mean t-to do that." You said remembering that he was a ghoul and you were a human, and how he would probably want to rip your throat open. Kaneki slid down the wall and put his head in his hands. This hurt you too see him like this, you hated him being in pain. You began to try and comfort him but then backed up. Kaneki stood up and your heart started to pound fast. You walked back until you reached the end of your bed. "K-Kaneki?" He could hear the worry in your voice as he came closer to your trembling body. But just before he reached you, a slight laugh was heard. Why is he laughing? What is so funny? Then he looked up and he was fine, his eye was normal and his breathing was fine. You then stood up and strutted over to him, punching him in the shoulder. "Ow! What's wrong with you? First you kiss me then you punch me?!" You crossed your arms and turned around with your back towards him. "You scared me. I thought you were going to eat me!" He laughed again and came up behind you wrapping his arms around your waist. "(y/n) I could never hurt you, ever." You turned in his arms looking up at him. "Sure i have the potential to 'eat' you," He paused as you slightly backed in his arms. He pulled you back pushing your body against his. "But i could and never would be able to bring myself to do it. Never." You looked back into his silver eyes as you smiled sweetly. "Never?" You wrapped your arms around his neck. He placed his forehead on yours. "No, never." He kissed you sweetly as he smiled into the kiss. You smiled kissing him back as you got used to the taste of his lips, and you began to love it. You pulled him closer as you melted into the kiss, this being the second one you have ever shared with anyone. Kaneki pulled away and smiled. "(y/n), I love you, and i don't think i can ever leave you." He said softly. Hearing those words made you want to cry, your heart couldn't take all this emotion as you just smiled brightly. Kaneki looked at you slightly confused. "What? I am being serious (y/n)." He teased. You shook your head as you looked down still smiling like a weirdo. You then looked up. "I love you too." He smiled as he hugged you tight but not too tight. You smiled as you didn't want the hug to end, you felt like you could be in this position forever, it just felt so....right. 

You soon made your way over to the bed as you rested your head on Kaneki's chest and he has his arms wrapped around you. Having a small smile on your face as an arm wrapped around Kaneki's waist, you could hear his slightly fast heart beat as he played with your hair gently. Although, now that you found out he was a ghoul, all these questions where bottled up inside and you couldn't contain yourself. Breaking the peaceful silence, you asked him. "So...why didn't you tell me that you couldn't go to school?" You asked curious as to why he would risk his hunger being new to all this. "Because, that ghoul that attacked you was near by..." Kaneki replied softly. "I wanted to make sure that they didn't get to you." You slightly shivered as you remembered that time. Kaneki pulled you closer kissing the top of your head. You clutched his shirt slightly as you didn't want it to happen again, nor did you want it to happen to Luke again. You looked up to Kaneki with a soft smile. "Thank you." You pecked his cheek as he blushed slightly. You rested your head on his shoulder again knowing that with Kaneki around nothing can hurt you, you felt safe with him, and thats all that mattered....right? After a couple of minutes, you kept asking questions thinking of new ones and others popping up once Kaneki answered. You found lots of the answers interesting, like finding out that instead of eating humans, they put some sort of blood in a coffee or tea and drink that. But the one thing that really caught your attention, was that, everyone working at Anteiku....was a ghoul, even Touka. You tried your hardest to listen to the other things but found it hard to keep your eyes open, and the warmth Kaneki was producing didn't help. You snuggled into his chest even more as he continued rambling on about how he didn't know how to explain to Hide. Closing your eyes fully, you fell asleep in Kaneki's arm as you smiled in your sleep. Kaneki pulled you closer as he covered you both with the covers.
