(y/n) POV

"KANEKI!!" You yelled after him but it was no use. Luke was still holding you back and you were still on the floor after Kaneki pushed you down. You were crying and holding your shoulder. Luke tried to help you up but you kept resisting him. "(y/n), we have to get to cla-" But you simply cut him off. "Can't you see that he is in pain! I can't just let him go like that Luke!" You yelled / sobbed to Luke who looked like he was annoyed. "You don't have to help him. I am sure he is fine." He said as he looked like nothing had phased him. You looked at him in disbelief as Hide came up to you both. "W-was that r-really K-kaneki?" You looked down. Hide still didn't know about Kaneki...."Yes. Yes it was, and i am going to help him." You said as you got out of Luke's grasp on your arm and made a run for it. This time it was Luke calling out for you and you running away. Kaneki was in pain and you needed to hear why. You heard Luke running behind you but you just pushed your legs as fast as you can. You past Anteiku but something stopped you in your tracks. A blood curdling scream. You looked around to see who it was but couldn't see anyone in discomfort, but they were all startled just like you were. You kept looking around until Luke caught up with you. "(y/n) we need to go or we are going to be late." Luke said grabbing your arm once again. "Did you hear that?" He looked at you puzzled. "That scream sounded horrible." You said as you desperately looked around. You then looked up to see a guy...no Kaneki on the window sill. Your eyes widen as you thought he was going to jump. No...Kaneki please....was he the one that screamed? Luke followed your gaze as he pulled you closer. You couldn't believe what was happening, but there was something different, he didn't have his eye patch on. OH MY GOD! You put your hand over your mouth as you started to let new tears stream down your face. "Ok, it is time to go. NOW" Luke pulled you along as you thought about Kaneki. Why? Why him? This made no sense. You stumbled behind Luke as he continued to drag you along back to school. You were dazed for the rest of the day. Someone would ask you something, you would just nod like a puppet. You looked lifeless as the day went on.

It was now the end of the day and you had payed no attention in any of your classes. "Hey (y/n), want me to walk you home?" How could Luke not be phased by any of this? You simply shook your head. You wanted to be alone to think. You walked off without saying a word leaving Luke there startled. You didn't know what to do. The love of your life was a ghoul...A ghoul....how can i love a monster?! Tears started to stream down your face as you thought about the whole thing over and over again. Nothing is making sense and you couldn't put the pieces together. You walked through your front door not even bothering to go back to Anteiku to see Touka. You basically stayed in your room the whole time staring at your ceiling tears in you eyes until you could cry no more. It soon became dark and you still hadn't moved. Knock knock. You started to get nervous, it was dark and there was a knock on your window. "Pst." You shot up out of your bed looking around to the sound of the noise. "Pst." There was a voice. It was too dark to see anything but you kept searching. "Pst, (y/n)" You started to freak out. How do they know my name? "Who and where are you. How do you know my name?" You frantically looked around until you see a figure standing by your window. The shadow came closer as you moved back. "(y/n) it's ok, its me." The figure then came into the slight light from the moon. Your eyes widen as you felt even more scared. "Kaneki?" You still kept your distance. The look in his eyes were not of lust for flesh, but for love. "W-what are you doing here?" You pushed some of your (h/c) hair back behind your ear. "I came to apologize for leaving you at school. I shouldn't have been there in the fir-" You cut him off looking at him with sobbing. "(y/n)? Are you ok?" He started to come closer but you moved back again. This movement made Kaneki's heart throb. "(y/n), whats wrong?" You hugged your knees as you laid your head on top. "Why....why did it have to happen to you?" You looked up at him with sorrow in your eyes. "What? What do you mean?" You realized he was now wearing his eye patch. You hastily got up off the bed and made your way to him. He was startled by your movement but stayed still. You lifted your hand up to his face as you pulled the eye patch down. His eyes widen as you now saw both his dazzling eyes. "Show me." You said as you kept your hand on his face. "Please....i need to know." He closed his eyes as he put his head down. You waited patiently for him to show you. He looked up and you put a hand over your mouth. You then placed your hand on his cheek again as you rubbed your hand over the red vain's. You looked deeply into the ghoul eye as it amazed you. But knowing that the love of your life was a ghoul, you still felt safe around him. No matter your past, you weren't afraid of him. He then placed his hand over yours as he leaned into your hand. "I'm sorry." You looked at him confused. "I didn't want to hurt you, i don't want to hurt anyone (y/n)." You were surprised. There was a ghoul....that didn't want to harm humanity. "Hey, it is ok Kaneki.." You said as he started to cry. This hurt you to see him cry like this. There was something pulling you closer to him, was it lust? Or was it love? No matter the feeling.....it brought your lips closer to his.
