Chapter 15| CID

I have never been this nervous and excited in my life. I know that only Aya can make me feel this way. But my dad's encouraging words hours ago kept me sane.

"Son, you have nothing to worry about! Get your girl and make her see there is more to you than being a Waldon. I am sure she will see your heart is bigger than your name. And I will wait for you to bring her here so I can meet and thank her. Good luck, Son! I love you!"

"Thanks, Dad! I love you too!"

Cid Waldon, believe in yourself! Your love for each other is more significant than any issue that your name can make. Make her feel your heart and nothing else!

I saw Aya coming out of the elevator in the penthouse CCTV camera. Innocence and surprise showed on her face. The dress fits her perfectly. It looked like it was designed and sewn for her. I walked outside the pool area door. As soon as she entered the door towards the pool, she gasped and stopped. I started walking towards her with the bouquet of her favorite pink roses.

As I walked toward her, I gazed at her, trying to memorize her angelic face. She has expressive and beautiful eyes that always make me feel lost whenever I look at them. Her lips are enticing, and the curls she pushed her long blonde hair into are stunning. Her perfectly shaped legs show from her burgundy off-shoulder satin dress. I admit I wanted her to be mine the moment I met her.

"My Aya, you look breathtakingly beautiful! These flowers are for you."

I held her hand as we walked to the table and sat at the end of the pool. Her confusion showed as I pulled out the chair for her. Just looking at her face, I knew she had so many questions. I took my seat opposite hers.

"How do you like it, My Aya?"

"Cid, you didn't have to do these. But I want to tell you I love it! I'm just worried about how much you spent on this dinner?"

"Nothing that you don't deserve, My Aya! Let's have and enjoy dinner first, and we will talk later, okay?"

She nodded and smiled. We shared the special course meal prepared by the head chef of the hotel dining. Though we shared laughter and giggles during dinner, my nervousness didn't leave me. For the first time since I met Aya, I saw her smiling with her brightly sparkling eyes. The brightness and spark that I didn't see before. I held her hand on top of the table and kissed it.

"Are you happy, My Aya?"

"I've never been this happy, Cid! Thank you so much!"

I motioned for her to stand up and led her inside the penthouse. In the living room, I played slow piano music.

"Please dance with me?"

I reached my right hand to her, and she smiled as she reached out to hers. As the music started, she placed her right hand on my shoulder, and I put my left hand on her waist, my right hand holding her other hand. We swayed our bodies from left to right, slowly, gracefully, and closely. It was like magic. Our bodies got closer, and only we knew the passionate energy we felt towards each other as we let ourselves fall into the rhythm—only me and her.

Her brown eyes glistened, and her enigmatic smile spread across her innocently pretty face. I knew she felt it, too; unexplainable feelings surged through my body. Acting on its own, my hand touched her cheek. I drew her close, and her arms wrapped tighter around my neck.

I got lost in her gaze. She leaned in, and I held her tight and planted my lips on hers. The kiss continued. Then her lips went into my ear, and she whispered.

"I never thought you could be this romantic, my Cid Williams."

Hearing her say my Cid Williams, I returned to what I needed to do before the night ended. Rick's reminder echoed in my ears.

"Cid, man, tell her before she hears it from someone else."

I looked her in the eyes and put my arms around her like I was never letting go.

"My Aya, I have something to tell you. Promise me you will listen to what I have to say first."

She placed a soft, long, and passionate kiss on my lips, then nodded.

"Tell me, what is it, Cid?"

"Don't be surprised when you hear some news in W tomorrow. I want to be the first one to tell you. I want you to know that whatever I did was not to fool or hurt you. Everything happened before I met you. But meeting you made me want to be a better man so I can be worthy of you. I know there should be honesty for us to be together and trust each other. And that is what I want to do. I want to be honest with you because I want us to work forever."

"Cid, you sound cheesy and creepy right now, right?"

"Yeah, I guess. But I'm being serious, My Aya."

"Okay, and what do you want to be honest about? Oh, God! Are you married, Cid?"

"No! Of course not, Aya!"

"You have a kid? How old? How many, Sid?"

"Nope! Better than that. You look so cute right now, My Aya!"

"Then, tell Cid! You are torturing me!"

"Okay, I have a revelation to make. But please, whatever I say, it will change nothing about us. If any, it should be for the better of us. Promise me, please, My Aya?"

"Okay, then. I promise!"

"My real name is not Cid Williams."

"What the...? What do you mean?"

"Let me finish my Aya. My real name is Cid Waldon."

"How are you related to Rick?"

"We are not related by blood. His real name is Rick Williams. I am the Cid Waldon, and he is the Rick Williams."

"You mean like... Rick is you, and you are Rick? I am confused!"

"You are right. I am the real Waldon heir. Rick is my friend and assistant. We did it because of my dad's orders. I was never an angel before I met you, you know? My father sent me here to punish me. I'm sorry!"

"I know how demonic the life lived by the Waldon heir. It is always in the news and was a popular gossip topic in W, Cid!"

"Ouch! How you look at me right now is like you want to kill me, my Aya!"

"So tell me, Cid, is this the part where you let go of me, and I do the walk of shame out from here?"

She tried to get out of my embrace, and I saw tears falling from her eyes. I didn't let her go. Instead, I wiped her tears with my small kisses.

"Of course not! If there is one thing that my being a Waldon means right now, I am never letting you go!"

"But, I am not... I can't be. I shouldn't. It's not right, Cid!"

"What is not right? And who said?"

Aya shook her head multiple times. "I... I should go now. Don't worry, Cid; I'll call Jane to pick me up. Thanks for dinner!"
