Hi everyone! 

I know I've been gone longer than planned, so I decided to give y'all an explanation. {and to rant a little bit lol}. 

Firstly, our friends from out of state are staying longer than planned, AND I woke up a couple weeks ago to find out my brother's dog had chewed up, and completely destroyed my laptop charger. While my new charger is on the way, I guilt-tripped my brother into letting me use his {insert smirking face} until it gets here. 

Now that I've got all of the technical things out of the way---onto the sad parts. 

Two months ago, my pet chicken Ben died. I had him for three years, and since I was heartbroken over his passing, my dad gave me four new ones to raise and keep--two chicks were mine, and the other two chicks were my brother's. Everything was going well until I let them roam free. 

Since I live in the country (and in the mountains) predators roam everywhere---from bob cats, mountain lions, hawks, and even fucking bears. I am not shitting you. Three days ago, my mom and I went on a walk near our new house that's being built and in our front yard--a huge fucking black bear was dead ass staring us down.   I never ran so fast in my whole life--I was surprised I didn't have a heart attack when my feet finally decided to stop. 

{I'll shut up about my little bear story now...}

Everything was going great until Atlas {my first chick} got caught by a hawk and passed away. It hurt, but I knew that shit like this happens all the time where I live so I tried to move past it. Now, yesterday while I was out feeding them, I saw my last little chick yards away from me--that's when the hawk got him. I'm almost embarrassed to saw I cried like a damn child when it happened, but I couldn't help it. 

I had spent countless hours spending time with them and I grew to love my chicks just like my other pets. So, to get my mind off it, and release more pent-up emotions I decided to post my troubles here. And for you guys to give me your thoughts on future chapters of Keelan. 

On a brighter note--I want to thank each and every one of you for voting and commenting! I can hardly believe Keelan had over one thousand votes and Brett has close to two thousand. 

Thank you all for giving my books a chance, it means more to me than you know.
