✦ ( chapter three ) ✦
Arriving in Charleston didn't take as long as I had originally thought, I mused as my feet climbed down the steps of the plane behind Mr. Blackbourne. I gripped the handles of my bags tightly as I observed the area around me. It was a pretty area, but there were way too many buildings--it kind of put me in the mind of the pictures I've seen of New York City.
Was it ever quiet here? A frown pulled at my lips, Was it even safe here? Could a women walk alone at night and not have to worry about getting raped or mugged in one of those dark alleyways?
"Welcome to Charleston, Miss. Nolan. Now come, we have to leave." He beckoned, causing me to follow reluctantly - would this bloody prick stop treating me like a dog? From the look on his face, he didn't plan to stop until I said something about it - lucky for him, I was trying to be in a good mood. I finally rolled my eyes before following him to a charcoal grey BMW, "I see your partial to BMWs?" I asked, putting my best smile forward, intending to try and get along with him.
"Great observation." He shot back sarcastically, rolling his eyes behind his glasses - causing me to clench my fists. Was this little bitch just going to be a fucking prick the entire time I was here? Fine, two can play at that game. Mr. Blackbourne has made an enemy - I've been nice, and he still paints me as the villain - well I'll be his fucking villain if he wishes.
"Go ndéana an diabhal dréimire de cnámh do dhroma ag piocadh úll i ngairdín Ifrinn!" ("May the devil make a ladder of your backbones while picking apples in the garden of hell!") I needed to say something insulting, as if to release my anger/frustration, and what better to insult him, than in my mother tongue - one he probably didn't understand?
I could use this to my advantage.
"What did you say?" Mr. Blackbourne asked darkly, glaring at me heatedly as I pasted on an innocent smile - adding just a bit of sadness. "I was singing a song I used to back home. It brings me comfort." I sighed and looked out the window with a smug smirk - although it slowly fell as I looked at my surroundings as Mr. Blackbourne drove.
Nothing was familiar here.
"We're almost there," Mr. Blackbourne told me, before turning on another street. Good, the quicker I can get away from you - the better.
------------------------ "We are here, Miss. Keelan. It's time to meet the others." He told me as the BMW pulled into a driveway, leading up to a huge bloody house.
Wow, I was in awe - but I wasn't going to let it show - at least not to the dickhead beside me. "Awesome." I muttered before unbuckling my seatbelt and getting out of the car, lugging my bags along with me.
"Follow me; you'll be meeting the others." He spoke calmly and laid a hand on my shoulder, pushing me in the direction of the house. It was a beautiful house, but it looked like it would cost billions of dollars. Beautiful red roses lined the front steps as we walked up them towards the door.
"Welcome to our home," Mr. Blackbourne invited reluctantly letting me inside his home, "The others will show you where you will be staying. Remember my rules, Miss. Nolan." He ordered sternly.
What was it that made him hate me? - I had done nothing to him as far as I knew? "Okay." I nodded, agreeing with him as he gestured for me to take off my shoes. I followed his lead and took off my shoes, leaving me in my socks, before I grabbed tightly onto my bags again.
Would the rest like me - or at least be kind to me? I hoped that they hadn't already judged me, and they would give me a chance to prove myself to them. I was here to get better - to make Mam and Da happy, then I would go home to be with Dee.
"Keep up Miss. Nolan." He called over his shoulder, "I'm on my way! Don't get your thong in a wad!" I hurried behind him, smirking as his face hardened, "I do not wear thongs."
"Really, you could have fooled me," I smirked as we entered the...kitchen? To be face with a room full of handsome men and a meek looking blond woman. Eight of the ten people in the room, didn't look friendly as their eyes scanned over me coldly.
You have to be kidding me.
"Miss. Nolan, these are my brother - and Sang, our fiancée." Mr. Blackbourne introduced - giving a millimeter smile to the weak looking women.
"Uh-'Ello. Pleasure to meet you." I forced a small smile as I waved.
They nodded without saying anything - only keeping their gazes on me. I squirmed uncomfortably, "You guys aren't much for talking are ye?" I cleared my throat, straying away from the scary man with a gold hoop through his left ear, looking at him brought back bad memories I'd rather keep repressed.
"I'm Sang," the women gave a forced smile as she clutched the scary ones hand. I nodded and smiled at her before a red head stepped forward, bored.
"Nathan Griffin." He offered no smile, I didn't feel welcomed by them.
"Hiya! I'm Luke! I like your accent!" A cheerful blonde spoke cheerfully, bounding forward to shake my hand.
"Luke!" Mr. Blackbourne hissed as he came closer to us, causing Luke's smile to fall before he went back to where he came.
Did Mr. Blackbourne not want them around me? I hated to admit that it hurt my feelings. Was I such a disgusting creature that I didn't deserve to be at least kind to?
Before I could dwell on it more; another one stepped up.
"I'm Kota Lee." He reminded me of a better looking version of Peter Parker as he pushed his glasses upnthe bride of his nose.
"Gabriel Coleman," spoke a man with russet brown hair (with two blond tendrils framing his face), crystalline icy eyes. He was beautiful.
"North Taylor." The scary brute snarled while holding Sang close. I knew without a fucking doubt I would stay as far away from this big mothterfucker as I could.
"I'm Silas Korba. Nice to meet you." A deeply accented voice called out, as a golden tanned giant stepped forward. I could tell he was forced to stay at least kind - but he didn't mean it...not truly.
I also noticed my fucking next straining as I craned my head to look up at him, four foot eleven life sucked.
"Victor Morgan," a man with fire eyes and soft brown hair spoke up softly, refusing meet my eyes before another one--no the last one stepped forward with a tiny, tiny smile.
"I'm Sean Green. Pleasure."
"I'm Raven." Another accented voice spoke up as he stepped into the kitchen, causing my eyes to widened.
If I thought most of these men were good-looking - I clearly hadn't met Raven yet. From his voice, I could tell hebwas Russian, his bodybwas covered in tattoos, my mouth watered as I looked over his chiseled face--noticing his eyebrow, lip, and ears were priced.
Bloody fucking hell.
Take me now.
Forget prince charming.
Go for the wolf.
He can see you better,
Hear you better,
And eat you better.
Would I be able to stay with him!?
"Why are you here Crow?" North growled menacingly as he stepped forward, pushing Sang behind him.
A/N: On a scale from one to ten, how dirty minded are you?
I'd say I'm a nine...😊
Things are finally getting started!!
