terrified.

ever since trump was elected president, there have been so many hate crimes near/in my city.

1) – the hijab
this was the first crime that i heard about ever since 11/09/16. muslim women have been getting their hijabs (headscarf) snatched off of their heads.

2) – the stabbing
okay so this one is really scary for me bc one of the victims is my brother's best friend and 2 of his family relatives. the three were at a hookah lounge and as they exited the place, a group of gang members (6 of them i think) approached them and wanted to start problems. one of the 3 victims didnt speak english and one of the gangsters asked him a question. the victim obviously didnt know what the man asked him, so he just chuckled. and with that, the gangsters attacked him by stabbing him. the other victims also got stabbed and hit with baseball bats. unfortunately, the victim that didnt understand english died that night while the other two lived. it was honestly a very sad and scary night for all of us.

3) – muslim woman at walmart
this legit happened today at the walmart that i go to. a muslim woman was shopping at walmart with her 2 daughters (both very little) then suddenly a man hit her head from behind. then he started beating her up for no relevant reason. i dont know what happened after that, but i really hope that she and her daughters are safe.

im really scared bc sometimes i shop at this walmart with my mom without any man to protect us (aka my dad).

honestly, this place isn't safe anymore.
