Kazumi just turned ten yesterday and is about to start her Pokemon. With her best friend Storm who is her eevee and has been since she was six years old. They meet in the forest when eevee lost it's family because of terrible fire. Kazumi nursed him back to health and he never left. Professor oak gave her a pokeball to catch him (Storm the eevee) with. Storm is different from other eevee with grey/silver fur. According to Professor Oak he is a shiny pokemon.

Storm jumped onto Kazumi's shoulder as she descended the stairs for breakfast. She had woken early so that she would have time to talk to the professor before her journey. "Morning Princess" Allen her Dad said when he saw them enter he always called her his 'little princess'. He was reading the morning paper with his coffee. Carolyn her Mum was finishing up on making breakfast which was pancakes.

"Morning Dad, Mum where are Pidgeot and Dewgong?" Kazumi asks.

"Dewgong is in the pool and Pidgeot went to deal with some Spearow that are causing trouble" Allen answered. Kazumi sat across from him setting her bag down beside her. Storm jumped down onto the floor to go ate it's breakfast. Carolyn joined them placing the pancakes on the table along with a jug of apple juice.

"Are you ready for your journey?" Carolyn asks her daughter.

"Yes Mum, I have everything packed and will be leaving after breakfast" Kazumi answers then digs into the pancakes. After breakfast she and Storm went to say goodbye the Dewgong. Pidgeot had returned from dealing with the Spearow and they said goodbye to him also. Kazumi and Storm set off to Professor Oak's lab where they spent most of their time. Storm trained with the pokemon there and is very strong, stronger then a normal eevee.

They reached the lab in no time and were greeted by Professor Oak when Kazumi knocked on the door. "Come in Kazumi my dear" Oak says stepping aside to let them in.  "Now I have your pokeballs and I trust you're taking Storm with you" he says.

But Kazumi wasn't paying attention she was looking at an other pokeball that had a lighting bolt symbol on it. "Oh I caught that last night" Professor Oak said and picked it up. "Feisty little one" he tells her and Kazumi asked to see the pokemon in question. A yellow electric mouse pokemon appeared it was called a Pikachu.

"Hello there I'm Kazumi this is my partner Storm" Kazumi said sitting cross legged on the floor in front of the Pikachu. "You're girl aren't you it explains your tail and I can tell you're strong" she states. "How would you like to go on a journey with me and Storm? Don't worry you don't have to be in the pokeball if you don't like it. Storm doesn't like it either" Kazumi asks and tells.

Pikachu looked at Storm and he told Pikachu Kazumi was a very nice Trainer who loves pokemon. So Pikachu agreed to go on the journey and Professor Oak said she could. "You need a name to set you apart from other Pikachu" Kazumi said and started to think. "How about Electra" she suggests and Pikachu nodded loving the name. "Welcome to the team hoop on" Kazumi said as she stood with Storm on one shoulder and gestured to her other.

They all said goodbye to Professor Oak and set out on their journey. Kazumi knew with Electra and Storm at her side there was nothing they couldn't do. The first gym they were going to is in Pewter City it is rock type gym run by a young man called Brock. In her pack was some pj's, spear clothes, shoes, spear pokeballs, pokemon food, pokemon medicine, first aid kit, fishing rod, swimmers, snacks, water canteen, her journal and a few pens/pencils.
