Kazumi's POV

So we were walking along, mending our own business. When we suddenly fall into a pit. "No, not another hole!" Misty shouts.

"You ok Electra?" I ask and she nods her head.

"Oww! I landed on my head!" Brock exclaims.

"Must be a prank" I tell the others as Electra hopes onto my shoulder.

"Someone has a bad sense of humor" Misty states.

"Who'd play such a rotten trick?" Brock asks us. A quintet of Pokemon peer down into the hole and laugh at those trapped inside. I look up to see they're squirtle and all are wearing sunglasses.

"What's so funny?" I demand.

"We could of been hurt" Misty adds. We climb out of the hole as they continue to laugh at us. "Dangerous practical jokes are nothing to laugh about" Misty tells them. I take out Dexlee and point it at the middle squirtle.

"Squirtle, this tiny turtle Pokemon draws its long neck into its shell to launch incredible water attacks with amazing range and accuracy. The blasts can be quite powerful" Dexlee explains.

"A squirtle would be a good addition to my team. Electra go" I say and she gets into position. She and the leader stare off. Until we hear sirens go off and the squirtles run off. As Officer Jenny pulls up beside us.

"Are you guys alright? Has anyone been hurt here?" she asks us concerned.

"A little bruised, but we're fine" I assure her. She takes us to the police station so that we can tell her what had happened.

"That Pokemon gang calls itself the Squirtle Squad" she tells us.

"Good name" I say.

"I've never heard of a pokemon gang" Misty states.

"They're all Squirtles who were deserted by their Pokemon trainers" Jenny explains.

"Those poor things" I say.

"They don't have a trainer so they just run wild and play tricks on the whole town" She tells us.

"I recently rescued an abandoned Charmander, poor thing was nearly dead" I tell her.

"It's really kind of sad because if they had somebody to care about them. Like you do Charmander, they wouldn't have turned out to be as bad as they are. It's a real shame" Jenny tells us.

"Do you know a good place for fishing?" Misty asks her. Jenny nods her head and gives us directions. We go to a nearby river. Brock and I relax on our backs looking up at the sky. Electra beside us as Misty fishes. "I caught something" she says and we sit up. Only to be blasted with water by a squirtle.

Electra shakes herself and pounces forward. "No!" I shout. But to late, she used thunder bolt. Shocking us by accident. "Stop Electra!" I shout and she does so. "Water conducts electricity and we're soaked along with the ground. So please no more thunder" I tell her gently.

'Sorry' she says sheepishly.

"No hard feelings" I assure her. The squirtle laughs as he jumps out of the water. I stand facing it. "I've had enough of your pranks" I state as we stand on dry ground. "We're on dry ground now Electra, go" I tell her.

"Pika!" she says going to tackle the squirtle. But the Squirtle jumps, ducks into its shell, and starts spinning around inside it. It rams into Electra, who lands in the water.

"Electra!" I shout. A Golden appears and I tell Electra to swim to shore. But she's not quick enough as golden hits her with it's horn. Knocking her out of the water and on to the shore harshly. "Electra" I say in worry as I rush over to her.

But before I can reach her. I'm tied up with Misty and Brock by the squirtle squad. Just then Meowth appears beside the lead squirtle. "You're not gonna Squirtle outta this one" he tells us smirking.

"Let us go! Electra needs medical attention!" I shout. But I'm ignored as we're taken to a cave. The others and I are tied to a rock as Electra is placed in a cage. "Electra" I say as I look at her with worry filled eyes. I've never felt so hopeless before.

"I'm the Pokemon in charge here. Ha! Just wait till my human pets get back" Meowth states.

"Please don't believe him squirtles" I beg. "Meowth's a big liar! Those humans aren't Meowth's pets, Team Rocket's just trying to trick you all into doing their dirty work" I tell them.

'You sure?' the leader asks me.

"Yes" I stress.

"Kazumi, Electra is in bad shape" Brock tells me.

"We need to do something" Misty adds.

"I'm trying" I tell them. "Squirtle, please let me go to town. If I don't get medicine for Electra, she could die" I tell the leader.  "As soon as I buy the medicine I'll come back. I promise" I state.

'Promises are cheap' he tells.

"Please, I can't lose her" I cry as tears fill my eyes. Suddenly I'm let go.

'If you're not here by noon tomorrow, your red-haired girl here is getting her hair dyed purple, understand?' the leader asks me.

"I do, you what have to die her hair purple" I tell him. "Don't worry Misty, I'll be back" I assure her. Then run out of the cave quickly. I run to town to the nearest store arriving at dawn. I get super potion and Jenny gives me a lift back to the cave. "Please step on it, I have to get there by noon" I tell her.

"Just hang on, Kazumi!" she shouts back. We reach the broken bridge. "A dead end" she says and we go along the gorge. Looking for another way across. We find another way and a secret entrance to the cave. To small for Jenny, but I fit in.

But it's so dark I can hardly see. So I summon Charmander and he gives me light. "Lead the way" I tell him and he smiles doing so happily. We find the cavern I last saw the others in, but they're all gone. However, when I go outside they're all there with Brock holding Electra.

Brock places Electra down and I spray her with the super potion. Suddenly there's an explosion as team rocket appears. They say their stupid motto. Somehow Meowth grabbed Electra while I helped Squirtle. As the others ran for cover. "Kazumi!" Misty shouts.

"Hey Squirtle, you ok?" I ask him and he nods his head.

"Here come two more!" Misty shouts.

"Run, save yourself Squirtle. Please save Electra" I tell him groaning.  Suddenly he picks me up and runs us to the cave. Dodging the falling bombs from team rocket. Squirtle and I take the secret tunnel to the top of the hill. "Squirtle, use your water gun attack" I tell him and he does so. The water gun puts a hole in the balloon, making James drop Electra.

I run down the hill and catch her. As Team Rocket's balloon flies away. The squirtle squad then put out the fire that started due to the explosions. Jenny arrives to see them do it and they become fire fighters for the town. Electra heals and we continue on our journey.

"Hey Kazumi, that Squirtle is following us" Misty tells me. We stop and turn to see the lead Squirtle. I smile and kneel down.

"Did you want to join my team and come along?" I ask him.

'Yes' he says removing his sunglasses. Revealing sparkly mahogany coloured eyes. I hold my arms out and he runs into them hugging me.

"Welcome to the team Squirtle" I say proudly. He thanks me as Electra joins the hug. I catch him with a pokeball and we continue on our journey. With Electra happily perched on my shoulder.
