Kazumi's POV

Electra, Storm and I were about to leave Pallet town as we stood on a hill having one last look at it before leaving. "This is it guys no going back after this" I tell them and looked up to the sky hearing a screech. That is when I saw a bird pokemon flying other head and released it is a Ho-Oh. Something flattered down to me as it flew over and I saw it was a rainbow feather.

I knew it belonged to Ho-Oh and picked it up before watching Ho-Oh disappear. "Thank you Ho-Oh I'll treasure it always" I say to the sky knowing Ho-Oh would hear me some how. "Ho-Oh is legendary pokemon from the Johto region and we just saw it & it left me this feather" I told Storm and Electra. I placed the feather in the gold locket my mother gave me.

"Who wants to go catch a friend?" I asked them and they nodded their heads eagerly. We ran off onto route one in the search of a pokemon to join our team. It wasn't long until we meet a pidgey.  "Electra you're up" I say as the pidgey faced us and got ready to fight. "Thunder shock" I order Electra as Storm cheered us on.

The pidgey was weakened and I throw a pokeball catching it. "Yes our first catch we have new friend" I say excitedly and the other two cheered. I let pidgey out "pidgey I'm sorry I caught you, but would like to come with us on our journey?" I ask. Pidgey nodded it's head and I asked "would you like your own name?" and pidgey shook it's head as a no.

"Well then here this will help heal you and do you is there is a lake or river near by?" I say/ask as I give Pidgey an oran berry. Pidgey nodded it's head after eating the berry and showed us the way. "Ok lets have lunch and I'll fish for an other pokemon" I declare. I gave them all pokemon food and set up my blue fishing rod. I ate a sandwich near it as the others ate their food and began to play/train.

Ten minutes later the line was pulled and I grabbed the rod before it fell into the water. What ever was on the other side was strong. It turned out to be a horsea and I sent Storm to battle it. "Use energy ball Storm" I say and he does so and then set out pokeball catching the horsea. "We have an other  friend guys" I state and release horsea so that he could greet the others.

"I'm going to call you Draco" I tell him and he jumped into my arms seeming very happy.

"Wow a horsea they're rare" a girl voice said behind me. I turned to see a red haired girl around my age holding a fishing rod. "My names Misty and I am a water pokemon trainer" she introduces herself.

"I'm Kazumi, my pokemon are Storm, Electra, Pidgey and Draco" I introduced myself and my pokemon who all gave their own greetings. "Can you show me the way to Veraidin city?" I ask her hopeful. Misty agreed and I returned my pokemon except for Storm and Electra who were on my shoulders. "They don't like being in their pokeballs" I tell Misty when she looked confused why I didn't return them.

We got there in no team and were stopped by Officer Jenny who wanted to see our ides. I showed her my pokedex and Misty showed her a badge. Jenny warned us of pokemon thieves near by before leaving. Misty and I went to the pokemon center to have Nurse Joy look at our pokemon. We went to get some supplies as Misty decided to join me on my journey.

When we returned to the pokemon center our pokemon had finished their check-up. As we went to leave the door was blasted open and the room filled with smoke. "Prepare for trouble" a woman's voice said.

"Make it double" a man's voice added.

"To protect the world from devastation" the same girl voice said.

"To unite all people with in the nation" the man's voice said.

"To denounce the evils of truth and love" the woman's voice said.

"To extend our reach to the stars above" the man's voice said.

"Jessie" the woman said introducing herself at last.

"James" said the man following the girls lead as the smoke began to clear. I saw the woman had long red hair and the man had blue hair. They both wore matching uniforms with a 'R' on their shirts. There was also a meowth with them that was standing n it's hind legs.

"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light" Jessie said.

"So surrender now or prepare to fight" James said.

"Meowth, that's right" the meowth said.

"That meowth can talk" Misty stated in shock.

"You're the thieves Officer Jenny told us about, what do you want?" I said. Electra and Storm stood in front of me ready to fight.

"We're here to take the pokemon centers pokemon" James said.

"Yeah, now get out of our way twerp" Jesse told me.

"Not a chance, Storm fire a warning shot" I order and Storm shot an energy ball at the trio.

"You'll pay for that" Jesse said and released an ekans as James released a koffing. "Ekans poison fang attack" Jesse ordered her pokemon. As James ordered his koffing to use smog bomb.

"Storm use iron tail to knock the smog bomb back, Electra thunder bolt on ekans" I order my two pokemon who acted immediately. Both ekans and koffing were knocked out from the attacks. "Now blast them away with electro ball" I order and team rocket was blasted away.

"Team Rockets blasting off" I heard the trio say faintly as they disappeared into the horizon. I congratulated Electra and Storm on winning their first battle. We turned to the other two who looked impressed.

"Thank you for protecting the center" Nurse Joy said.

"That was amazing, was that your first battle?" Misty asks.

"Yeah it was" I admit sheepishly. Misty and I then left to continue our journey to Pewter city for my first gym battle. With our pokemon at our side.
