He tried escaping the abyss but he looked over and saw her floating with him. He slowly made his way towards her and saw she was doing the dead man's float. He moved her body over and she sputtered out a breath and water out of her lungs. He held her in his arms and knew she was the light of his life. He held on to her as he felt her shuddering in the cold bone chilling water. He looked up and saw that there was a beach with black sand a few hundred feet from where they were. He grabbed her on his back and swam towards the shore.
