Okay so this is a thing

But when I'm reading a book or watching a show or whatever

And a character who is super-strong (or an adult or something) cries

buT THEY TRY NOT TO CRY

BUT NO MATTER HOW HARD THEY CLAMP THEIR EYES

NO MATTER HOW HARD THEY GRIT THEIR TEETH

THEY STILL CRY

IT BREAKS MY HEART OKAY

I'm reading Far Far Away by Tom McNeal

And ahhhhhh ;-;

The protagonist's dad (who hasn't left the house in five years since the mom left and ran away with a dude to Canada) was trying to fit into nice clothes to help the protagonist because the pr got in trouble with the sheriff

And when the pr got back and saw his dad sitting on his bed with puffy eyes and pants + a shirt that wouldn't button

And his dad was just so depressed and shed one tear r.i.p. and the way it was described broke my heart okay

And in the one episode where Spongebob is frantically trying to get Squidward's attention and makes a sweater out of his tears

Ahhhhhhhhh

My heart hurts when I think of that rip

I just

I can't handle people crying okay
